    I can’t for the life of me do the old variant I was learning where it’s corner down and you start it with j.L, j.L, MM, dash forward, MM, dash down, MMH, j.L jump j.L. He never does the j.L after the butter gun. I guess I’m gunna try some of these variants instead

      Those buttergun variants are a 2 frame link, but if you learn these (the corner ones and and midscreen down one), then you only need to hit 4 frame links.
      Midscreen up and midscreen side here are a bit of a different matter, there's more specific timing needed with the examples shown here (but the final link is 4 frames if everything is done correctly).

    I attempted the first one with every rxact input and it kept dropping at the spot where you have to do falling light( Jump light medium into flight loop) was trying for like 2.5 hours different ways and it always fails

      Late reply sorry, my notifications were turned off for some reason!
      You might have solved the issue already, but if not:
      Sounds like you might not have been holding up (upback and upforwards both work too) the entire time during rejump. So during the falling light, when you land and as you rejump into j.L just make sure you're holding up otherwise the HSD gets reapplied and the combo drops.

      @@SpartanThrone Yea it still isn't working. It drops for me the moment i rejump into jump light. I even tried other ways and it still isnt working despite doing it the exact same input for input. Even used same opponent and same start up.

      I found a different route to do it. But I was able to get it. Just gotta lab it more cause i was only able to loop it once

    Hey, wondering if you can help. For some reason I cannot consistently get the j.M to connect after the post landing j.L. I have been able to get it to work before, just can’t seem to make it consistent and I honestly have no clue why it’s dropping right there. I’ve tried a small variation of the setup where you cut out the last ADF j.M(2) before j.H, and have even gotten it to work in that version as well but am verging on madness trying to get the start of the infinite loop to actually combo. Any tips? Or am I just bad?

      What it sounds like here is that you aren't actually starting the infinite. So you hit a falling jump L, jump up and try j.LM, but the M whiffs because they flip out?
      If that's the case, then what is going wrong is that either you aren't hitting the falling j.L at minimum height, OR, you ARE doing that but you aren't immediately jumping up in the air after it. So make sure you're holding up-forward while inputting the falling j.L, because if you stay on the ground for even a frame too much the opponent stops being considered in a 'TAC state', and they are back to having all the hitstun deterioration that they would have by that point in the combo.
      Try that a load of times and if it doesn't work let me know!

    hey man everytime i do this, i seem to be way too low to even get a falling J.L (at least during the down TAC version), any tips for that??

      Just replied to you on discord, hopefully that helps! You are supposed to be at the absolutely lowest height though, even if it looks weird/wrong!

      gotta make sure you are level with the opponent bc you need all of the beam to hit.

      Okay, so you setup the infinite, hit them with the falling j.L, then the corner rep should look like:
      Land > Jump > j.L, j.M(2) [slight delay] j.M(2), fwd.H, j.L, j.L xx Air Dash Up Forward, j.L, j.L, j.M(2), j.M(1) xx Flight > j.M(2) xx ADF > [j.M(2), j.M(2) xx ADF]x3, j.H, falling j.M(1), j.M(1) xx Plasma Beam L, j.L, Land & Jump, j.L etc

      Lmao marlin was special for the time because he was doing a lot of super cool shit and sacrificing damage, but he had a lot of the foundational stuff for everything that was to come later, before just about anyone.
