You don’t need to kill Godrick to get the lighting spear . You just need to head under the broken bridge around the castle to the right and there’s a path that will lead you to lunaria

Another spell worth noting is rot breath, which is also from thr dragon shrine. It can be used to make certain bosses much easier as Rot ticks away at health for a long time
Rot breath has carried me through most of the game most underated incantation in the game imo I pair it with my mimic. The mimic distracts the boss while I cast it. Plus my mimic will use it too so double rot breath.

You can actually skip Rodrick for the lightning spear by going from the grace at the scavenger's shack. Get to the grace, and head north to the broken bridge, where you'll see the Finger Reader NPC. Pass her and jump off the end of the bridge, and turn southwest to find the path around the back of the castle. At the top, you'll find the grace you would typically get after beating the castle.
Can't find the path southwest which you mention. There's a bunch of tips from players saying betrayal ahead and when I jump I die. If I follow the normal path there's packs of wolves Edit: found it. Its past the wolves by a long shot. Straight up the path to the grace and then drop down facing north towards the artists shack. Its a very long ride and the knight one shots me lol. I might need to get stronger
You should have really mentioned that at the black flame one there's also another chest with the godslayer sacred seal.. cuz u know... thats pretty big deal considering it's about incantations

@@tylertalma8425 the blood loss procs are what cause good damage. If you're not spamming it until the enemy bleeds you're not going to get good damage.
A note on Flame of Frenzy: If you can get within touching distance of a big enemy like a dragon then this incantation does nutty amounts of damage. I managed to stagger the crimson-rot dragon with two casts of it. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention bloodflame blade since it's more or less the go-to weapon buff for physical weapons. Bloodflame can be gotten by looting the fire monk camp on the west side of lunaria. Blackflame blade is also worth mentioning as a short term weapon buff that works like Black Flame. I've been using both buffs(not at the same time obviously) on a pair of spiked caestus and punching giant monsters to death.

I've dedicated my time into a strength based build with faith. It always catches invaders off guard. They see me wielding a big back off sword thinking I'm just all melee. Then out of nowhere they're getting hit with a lightning spell, or a dragon head shoots out.
4:15. You do not need to kill Godrick to get past. You can walk around the castle on the right side and walk all the way through. You'll meet the golden knight. if you walk a bit further you will see the Church of Vows with the Turtle Pope. He can teach you the Black Flame incantations if you give him the book that you find in the rat cellar with the Stonesword Key. After that I killed Godrick with black flame. Worked wonders.
For anyone having trouble taking out the enemy to get the number one spell, use torrent for a hit-and-run/counterattack strategy. Once you’ve figured out the enemy’s range and timings, they aren’t quick enough to catch torrent unless you mess up.
Another strategy is to bait out his attacks and use a medium speed weapon to stagger him in a full combo. I used a curved greatsword(magma wyrm's blade) but there's probably plenty of other weapons that could manage it.
Quick bit of advice with the ogre from the Black Flame portion of the vid, it is obnoxiously easy to fish for backstabs with that guy, especially if you have good enough stamina and shields to block his swings. Circle around counterclockwise and you'll be at his back constantly. I've backstabbed him more often than I've hit him normally.
I’m loving the rotten breath incantation. It’s another dragon incantation and needs a little bit of arcane. You basically breathe Scarlet Rot on things and watch them die.
Honestly, it can be used to beat almost any boss in the game. I even used it in the final battle because it still hits just as hard as my other spells. Bigger bosses like dragons though is where chain lightning or better yet, some of the other aoe lightning spells shine.
First time I killed Godrick I was carried by two randoms. I decided I wanted to do it "for real", so I joined someone else's game (so I'd have half heals and half fp regen) and see if I could do it. 30+ deaths. THEN I watched this video and got the godslayer talisman and blackflame. First try.

Npcs have a hard time against honed bolt cause it's not a projectile. So they don't evade it. Makes it a lot easier dealing with them. Only issue would be start up time of the cast it's pretty long.
My top five best incantation list, mid to late game: 1- Swarm of Flies, this is by far the most useful incantation in the game period it shreds 90% of the bosses in this game and works quite well in pvp as well 2- Ezekel’s Rot/ Rot Breath, very good against bosses and it’s absolutely busted in pvp 3- Fire’s deadly sin + blood flame, this is by far the most devastating incantation combo I’ve ever used, if you cast FDS and then BF, standing near any enemy will start to build up bleed based on close proximity, with a few exceptions (won’t work on Radagon/Elden Beast or anyone else immune to hemorrhage) but if you pair this with blood hounds quick step it’s atrocious because in pvp, players without bloodhounds quickstep can’t run from you (this will probably be receiving a nerf very soon) 4- Unescapable Frenzy, terrible against a large majority of enemies including other players but against npc invaders and any enemy that is tarnished and human sized it’s basically a one shot kill grab move and it even works on Sir Gideon Ofnir The All Knowing 5- Frenzied Burst, madness only works against tarnished enemies but this incantation has the best range out of them all and can collateral multiple targets at once easily one of the best pvp incantations in the game Honorable mention: Unendurable frenzy, shoots out a wide arch of frenzy similar to flame of frenzy but can be held and allows you to walk while casting
My faith build best spell is ancient dragon lightning strike from ancient prayer book. When fully charged, it does so much damage, and bosses are so large they almost always get hit by multiple strikes, it deals thousands of damage
You can actually get into Learnia and get lightning spear without even looking at Marjit lol, you just follow the road from Rodrika’s shack, and you’ll see a split that goes up in the map. Follow that and you’ll see the finger reader/old lady sitting on a bridge, then you follow the bridge till you get to the end where it’s broken off. There’s actually a ramp to your left from there (if you’re facing forward) that you can go down. From there you just follow the path until you end up in learnia!

Fun fact about honed bolt: if you keep pressing the button to keep spamming honed the cast time gets faster, great incantation against bosses when staggered
if youre at the spot right before margot and the battalion before, if you go and take the dirt path on the right you can follow that across a bridge and into liurnia before godrick.
Another thing about the flame frenzy incantation you didn't mention is it does good stagger damage when charged, so on solo stronger enemies it can break their stance easily
U can cheese the crucible knight in the evergaol with the lightning spear... Put everything u have to blue pots and ur good to go.... Also lightning is good against mobs that are on water i.e. the flying dragon on the lake
Love the video man! As a confessor player myself I’d love a video on where I can find better finger seals and weapons that scale with faith. Currently I’m using the winged scythe which required 24 faith but I had to bump my dex and strength both up to 16. Do you think that was a mistake?
I encountered that knight for the #1 spot and rod pass him. He one shot me with the lightning bolt, now I really have to go get my revenge 🤣🤣. I also haven’t killed any of the main boss. I was just exploring the whole map 🤷🏾♂️

As an explorer i'll let you k ow you dont need to kill Godrich! You can skip the castle by going to the broken bridge and taking a left, follow the road up the side of the castle and you'll end up at the grace behind the castle! So technically you can make the first lord you fight the queen since shes is not that hard! Especially if you have the frost axe to AOE the mobs!
there's also a teleport near third church of marika that is a great farm spot, enemies drop 1k each- im level 55 and have only fought 2 mini bosses lol
@@shazam2323 The same way you two hand a weapon. Press Y or triangle, then the weapon you want to equip. For example, if you have your incantation on the left, get on your horse, then press triangle + l1 and you will have your incantation ready to fire!
There is a way better dragon spell its samaugs Fire breath it costs 2 dragon hearts and it slaps. You can find it in the dragon cathedral bottom right of the red area
instead of dragon fire incantation I took Rotten Breath that you can find in 2nd dragon cathedral in the east... if you pump all that rott into enemy you just can watch it die in agony...
Yeah rotten breath is insanely broken…the damage it does and then the incredibly high DoT is absurd I rarely ever use anything else I do use dragonclaw too tho

Not sure if they made changes, but the first lighting spell and the black flame are not in the places you mention, at least not in my game. I can't imagine why that would be but they just simply are not there
Frenzied Burst needs to get added to this list. Higher damage potential with charged and greater range than the lighting spell however no AOE like lightening
Theres an exploint if you go to the third church of marika to the pond behind theres a teleport gate open the door and bring a bleed weapon/golden fowl foot (whatever its called). Once through the portal turn around and open the double door, theres a grace past the first status on the left with an npc in the room (you give gim deathroot and he gives you items) proceed down the road grabbing the golden seed from the tree, eventually you come across a bridge before that to the left is a grace hop back on your horse and sprint past the dragon, there should now be a minor erdtree in sight head arounce it to the left, behind is a spirit spring. At the base to a fort is a grace, hit that. Theres a massive dragon laying on the ground its unabble to move or attack you it simply debuffs you with its roars, proceed to bleed the tail untell its around 20 percent eat the gold chicken foot, then finish it off go level up (25 requirement for dragonrot breath so keep that in mind. Now go back to the third church of marika, proceed up the hill to the north where youll find 2 spirit stream jumps follow the road you find there (stick to the left once up top as theres an npc invader or kill her if you want theres a bonfire in the church. Follow the road untell the second left curve there will be a dragon along the route just sprint past him and keep a lookout for ruins to your right. Stick to the left of the ruins and enter through a collapsed wall. Get the site of grace and look for the dragon communion alter, get scarlet rot breath and now you can sink 4-5 breath attacks into a boss and simply avoid its attacks while you watch it die. By far one of the best incantations ive found
where do you get a better thing to cast these? and should you level them up? I assume so like you would a magic staff? I am going to pump points into faith as well to have access to faith spells as well. I have been playing as magic dex so far, but definitely want to use some faith stuff as well now I've seen how good they can be. I only have the basic catalyst for faith magic so far though, so don't want to waste materials levelling it when I know i can get better.

Another really great incantation is "Swarm of Flies." Especially if you're doing a blood build. It tracks targets and causes massive blood loss
Why does mine suck? Literally does like 15 damage, maybe 80 sometimes.. and I’m lvl 209 with a +10 seal

Another tip to get more out of the proc is to use Sword of Milos’ Ash of War to debuff the enemy for more damage

Fp Regen? Or like you do not get as much FP from flasks when summoned? Haven't been summoned in yet.

The cipher Pata weapons that you find in the roundtable hold after killing the invader are pure faith weapons
The godslayer seal is another faith catalyst. You can find it in the first major castle I believe. There's definitely vids up of it already.

As an explorer i'll let you k ow you dont need to kill Godrich! You can skip the castle by going to the broken bridge and taking a left, follow the road up the side of the castle and you'll end up at the grace behind the castle!
So technically you can make the first lord you fight the queen since shes is not that hard! Especially if you have the frost axe to AOE the mobs!

"lightning spear is low cost" shows it using 1/5th of his bar
there's also a teleport near third church of marika that is a great farm spot, enemies drop 1k each- im level 55 and have only fought 2 mini bosses lol
They are great to farm with the lightning spear on horseback. you can also use a summon to help you out!

@@shazam2323 The same way you two hand a weapon. Press Y or triangle, then the weapon you want to equip. For example, if you have your incantation on the left, get on your horse, then press triangle + l1 and you will have your incantation ready to fire!

There is a way better dragon spell its samaugs Fire breath it costs 2 dragon hearts and it slaps. You can find it in the dragon cathedral bottom right of the red area
instead of dragon fire incantation I took Rotten Breath that you can find in 2nd dragon cathedral in the east... if you pump all that rott into enemy you just can watch it die in agony...
Yeah rotten breath is insanely broken…the damage it does and then the incredibly high DoT is absurd I rarely ever use anything else I do use dragonclaw too tho

#1 is the dragon rot incantation.... scarlet rot is boss destroyer, a passive half health removal and then re apply it and you can just run and win

If beast claw is anything like in the network test, it definitely should be on this list.

The Knight dropped the Lightning Spear but it doesn't show up in my inventory.
Neither does it when i try learn spells at a bonfire.

Not sure if they made changes, but the first lighting spell and the black flame are not in the places you mention, at least not in my game. I can't imagine why that would be but they just simply are not there

You dont't have to kill Godrick to get the lightning spear. You can walk around the castle via a path next to the broken bridge
Frenzied Burst needs to get added to this list. Higher damage potential with charged and greater range than the lighting spell however no AOE like lightening
It's Much Slower though so it's more for sniping than active combat
Theres an exploint if you go to the third church of marika to the pond behind theres a teleport gate open the door and bring a bleed weapon/golden fowl foot (whatever its called). Once through the portal turn around and open the double door, theres a grace past the first status on the left with an npc in the room (you give gim deathroot and he gives you items) proceed down the road grabbing the golden seed from the tree, eventually you come across a bridge before that to the left is a grace hop back on your horse and sprint past the dragon, there should now be a minor erdtree in sight head arounce it to the left, behind is a spirit spring. At the base to a fort is a grace, hit that. Theres a massive dragon laying on the ground its unabble to move or attack you it simply debuffs you with its roars, proceed to bleed the tail untell its around 20 percent eat the gold chicken foot, then finish it off go level up (25 requirement for dragonrot breath so keep that in mind. Now go back to the third church of marika, proceed up the hill to the north where youll find 2 spirit stream jumps follow the road you find there (stick to the left once up top as theres an npc invader or kill her if you want theres a bonfire in the church. Follow the road untell the second left curve there will be a dragon along the route just sprint past him and keep a lookout for ruins to your right. Stick to the left of the ruins and enter through a collapsed wall. Get the site of grace and look for the dragon communion alter, get scarlet rot breath and now you can sink 4-5 breath attacks into a boss and simply avoid its attacks while you watch it die. By far one of the best incantations ive found

where do you get a better thing to cast these? and should you level them up? I assume so like you would a magic staff? I am going to pump points into faith as well to have access to faith spells as well. I have been playing as magic dex so far, but definitely want to use some faith stuff as well now I've seen how good they can be. I only have the basic catalyst for faith magic so far though, so don't want to waste materials levelling it when I know i can get better.
