In this Elden Ring video I'll show you the Best Builds for Faith in Elden Ring, starting from beginner Builds to mid game Builds, and finally to endgame and Journey 2 Builds. Faith Builds are tricky in Elden Ring, since a lot of spells are only available later in the game, but we have some fantastic ones nonetheless.

Glad to see more Elden Ring content with the DLC right around the corner. If you get a chance, could you consider a "Great Hammers are OP" video? I love that series, and Great Hammers are one of the best weapon classes in the game IMO.

Same. Great Hammers are incredible especially when used with great shield guard-counter builds. It only takes two or three hits to break the stance of the bosses since both charged heavies and guard counters deal 40-42'ish stance damage and bosses have either 80 or 120 poise.

I'm someone who will just sit there and watch build videos for fun so this was great. Maybe do one for arcane builds next? I've been working on an all-game arcane build and I found that it was pretty confusing to navigate because the stat spreads on many arcane builds are all over the place, and you have to plan your progression through the early and mid game carefully since arcane can't do much in the early game. Your build videos helped a lot and I found what I needed, but I think a showcase video like this for arcane builds could help get all that information in one place.
Arcane has a lot of options. The problem with youtubers is that most of the time it's all about the absolute bleeding edge of damage.
The problem with arcane in that department is that weapons that do not have default poison or bleed on them vary widely in stat scaling. For example, certain weapons when infused bleed will get a B in dex, but D in arcane. While others will have the same happen with strength. So you really have to build around your weapons in that case.
If going full arcane the weapons that generally benefit you the most are ones with inate poison and bleed. Once infused occult they get high base damage, higher than normal status build since arcane scales them under occult, and ash of war is up to you. Alternatively, you can use the somber arcane weapons. The thing people complain about here is this locks you into a smaller pool of weapons to chose from. That is of course, considering getting the most damage.
Little known thing, the ripple Cresent axe and halbred while unable to change ash of war, can be buffed. Sleep, bleed, and poison Greece all scale with arcane. You can sleep another player in two hits. Even if you don't pvp that gives you an idea how strong it can be. They also are the only arcane weapons with S scaling.
Last is arcane spells. Most common is the dragon spells. You can go all in on them and they can be extremely powerful on bosses. Or, you can use a lot of utility spells to supplement melee like the blood talons, flies, and buff with blood flame blade. Even meeting mid range requirements for dragon spells gives a lot of power and status build. Either route gives you access to a lot of basic faith spells as well which can be a lot of utility. Finally, you could use the arcane sorceries. They are strong, but there only a couple in the game with the build being very specific.
There really is not a one size fits all arcane set up unless you go high level. Otherwise, you really need to plan your play through sticking to a few things or single theme in my opinion. Not doing so can make things harder. Ask me how I know lol. I settled on a primarily melee arcane build meeting base requirements for my weapons and spells, and then all in on arcane. My spells are faith utility and bleed stuff. Took me a few tears to get it how I liked it for me. Gotta figure out what you like.
The dragon builds are quite good and different arcane builds, both the ones with Regalia of Eochaid and Ripple Sword
@@legi0n47x Yeah, that's a great summary. With other builds you can often just raise one or two damage stats and you'll naturally find weapons and spells that work and you'll already meet the requirements and be effective with them. Arcane is a bit more "hidden"; the scaling on weapons is often not straightforward and you'll usually need at least some strength, dex, or faith to meet base requirements for weapons and spells. It takes a bit of research or a lot of experimenting to even know what your options are. I'm in the midgame and having a lot of fun with a bleed and Dragon Communion build with a few utility spells, but I played the early game more like a dex build to help me get through the early bosses and access the more arcane-friendly weapons and spells. I'm also glad I didn't do this for my first character because it really helps already knowing what's available to me in the game.
@@TheSlothOfShadows I did this build for my first character. I have a sort of tradition in all souls games to always start as a thief/bandit type. Plus arcane was new to souls, sort of, and dragon spells were completely new. It was rough for a while. Early on it gave instant access to Redvuiva which can help you a lot early. But it falls off early too, then gets good later again.
Treating it as a dex build early is good until you can get some key items like dragon seal, lord of blood exultation, black wet stone, and perhaps a few arcane weapons. Plus, with even low 20's dex a lightning misacorde is very strong for crits once you get the wet blade for lightning. My early game picks for this until you get what you want are morning star, regalia of eochaid, uchigatana, maybe a halbred or plain straight sword if you like those. I'm a huge warhawk talon fan, but they can be a pain to farm. Morning star helps loads against enemies weak to strike, does bleed, great posture damage, and you can buff it with bloodflame blade, another key early thing.
Since you're doing dragon guy, one thing I discovered that was a bummer is that Plasadusex's, or however you spell it, lightning spell does not count as dragon communion. It's a faith spell. So you have to decide if you should stop at 18 fai, 23 for dragon maw and the named dragon breath spells which only do 18%-ish more damage, but are very strong if you have 2x dragon seals, or go all the way to 28 for greyroll's roar. Personally, I got tired of getting whacked out of breaths spells, but they did carry me a lot. And that was before the roar medallion counted with them. Also, keep in mind there are 2 helms that raise arcane. The one that gives 3 requires doing Ranni's quest though.

To this day your Blasphemous Herald build is my absolute favorite. It charmed me so much, I went back to Dark Souls 3 to try out a build based on that.
A game that can even produce 15 different builds is pretty great. And this is just covering 1 stat. There are 5 main build stats that you can mix and match together. What a masterpiece.
I went FAI/ARC with the Dragon Comm. Seal after seeing your Dragon Knight build and now at lvl 62 im sort this Sacred Chain Link Flail + Great Shield, Frenzied Acolyte / Templar build hybrid lol.

What I love most about faith/arcane builds is just combining all of it.
Even at level 230-250, it doesn’t feel op just switching up the play styles depending on the boss, dungeon, etc.
Anicient Dragon's Lightning strike not only melts everything without too much set up but it has a unique feature that not many other spells/incants have: an infinite upward hitbox. There are many enemies that fly and or jump up and do something deadly, I have personally used this to kill Radahn as he jumped up and entered his 2nd phase in ng+ and it can hit Placidusax as it also enters it's second phase.

This video came out just in time for me! I’m playing a new file trying to go pure faith and feel like I hit a wall in Liurnia, dealing weak damage and taking tons of it. I’m not sure but I think it might be from trying to bring my endurance up for the past several levels so I can wear some armor, instead of just pumping faith like I was leading up to Stormveil.

My two favorites of _your_ FAI builds so far are the Godslayer and Death Mage!
My faith & fire build melted during my first gameplay…just loaded back up after 2yrs to get the two other endings for platinum completion but may I say, for my first real souls game run im hooked and totally excited for the dlc
I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope a decent number of DLC bosses are weak to Holy. In the base game, if it's not a skeleton or death(rite) bird, that damage type is mediocre at best, and downright awful against the vast majority of late game bosses.

It would be interesting to have a Build Video discussion that focuses specifically on co-op builds designed for helping other players, typically for random co-op as password co-op allows you and "friends" to do whatever you want. Level 30 or 50 for the first bracket and then maybe level 75 to 100. The biggest problem for the co-op builds is the phantom player has half as many flasks, which hurts FP consumption builds; this can be offset somewhat by collecting most of the golden seed and sacred tears on a collection run as a low-level character and then allocating knowing your flasks will be halved. The co-op helper also needs to keep their max weapon level inline with the players they expect to be co-op. And finally, there is almost always a possibility the host will get invaded and it is practically guaranteed in certain areas of the game, so the co-op helper build needs to be a help, not a hindrance in dealing with invaders. Just an idea.

I have a top tier build with the blasphemous blade and the banished knight greatswords with fire for bosses . And for regular mobs I play a lot with te sacred sword that golden wave is so good
The Blasphemous Herald build was the first build I took to max level. Maxed out you just can't die when using the Blasphemous Blade.
whats nice as well is to mix the tear that boost holy dmg and the one that lets you cast without using fp so you can apply all the buffs before hand and maybe one or two and thelly do more dmg cause of the buufs/ phscic to the boss without using any of your fp
You should consider doing more early game builds that also work great in late game, its very fun to get your build stuff done with and destroy bosses!
First playthrough was with a faith build and very lovely build to use and alot of options. Sadly there is no save build option so you can use the best build against easy boss.

For faith builds, please always be using catch flame. It's the carian slicer for faith build but with stagger power
Lightning is my second favorite build. Black blade is my first favorite. Couple black blade with black flame and scarlet aeonia, you have choices to do aton of damage and continue that Dot damage
Fun fact: full faith build is the numerically most optimal bruiser build in game in my opinion. As you are able to cast any defensive incantations, you make absolutely unmatched tank, with black flame protection, golden vow, good armor, talismans and possibly braggarts roar on offhand you can reach like 70+ percent physical damage reduction, and due to different buffs, you can also specialize against any elemental damage. Then add endure on your main hand, and you can poise tank almost everything in game. Slap some regen buff and you have 0 worries about your life.
Also having your weapon flame-art infused, with proper fire damage physick and fire damage talisman can net you one of the highest AR and DPS in game, with exception of some super glass cannon builds. My absolute favorite is dual curved sword (bandits) with flame art infusion, FGS, golden vow, rotten wing sword insignia and fire+consecutive damage physick you can reach more than 1400ar on each of them.
With its 4 hit jump attack+running attack, you stack your damage in one attack, and then absolutely obliterate anything while endure tanking every attack that comes back at you, shrugging 80 percent of damage taken, while doing like 2500dmg per 4 hit attack or 1500 per normal L1. On super fast dual curved sword.... you feel like indestructible fire blender.
Best part? Switch any offensive and it still works, I have banished halberd on me with sacred blade (bufffed nonbuffable weapon with super strong range attack, yay), zweihander with golden land is super stronk, blasphemous blade, and basically any infusable weapon you like, you can just adapt and add in this build, its core will still work. Fancy some casting? No problem, just switch two talismans, and it still works.

You missed my favorite faith build, golden order fundamentalist: faith/int golden order seal, coded sword. Discus of light, radagons rings of light, triple rings of light. Lean in to holy damage completely. I’m running it at 95 right now and it might fall off late game due to the high holy resist of late game bosses but for now it smacks.

Arc/fth dragon communion build is so fun plus you still get access to faith buffs and bleed builds

That's something you gotta figure out for him. Does it do too much damage? Maybe steer them away
I have played all the faith builds here and I prefer the black flame the best , it’s great early all the way to end game just make sure you have a few larval tears left once you get to the fire giant for obvious reasons.

Seeing the Rancor spell only do 200 with all the skulls hitting while a level 50 player does 1200 with SONAF weapon art is all I need to know about Froms priority when it came to spell vs WA balancing.

Blackflame Blade incant should last a lot longer than 7 secs. Should at least be 15, if not 30 like Bloodflame Blade

Although I like faith build but int builds are better in my opinion. On terms of damage int weapons and sorceries outclass faith weapons and incatations in late game.

Is there a reason the Frenzied Acolyte build focuses on arcane rather than faith? As far as the spells used are concerned, it looks like they only have a faith requirement, not arcane, and the DC Seal doesn't really offer any benefit that I can see. I'm probably missing something obvious here lol.

It's cool indeed, the weapons is really nice despite its opness and fire incantations are great. The only downside is that this faith weapon gets boring after time.
