I remember when i was young. I could eat everything and anything and not gain a pound. In my 20s i ate chili dogs for breakfast.I`m in my early 60s now. Getting old sucks. But i still love Pasta. Food Ranger is great to watch. Love it.
Are you the only food blogger that uses a rating system to rate the taste of each dish??!! I also notice you really do your homework to tell us the ingredients used. Unlike other food bloggers that never had any bad food at any of the countries they visited. Their idea of rating a dish is using facial expressions, same description of words used for all dished and adding humongous amount of chilli to make the food taste better. Trevor that is not an authentic lamprais! There are no spiced potato and devilled chicken in a lamprais. The authentic one has ash plantain curry, belachan, seeni sambol and meatballs in addition to moju, chicken and a cutlet. What you ate is a kaha buth meal. Kind of a speacial Sunday lunch sort of thing.
Chicken and I (he’s my son) who I love like a freshly ponim, will not be rushing there. The food looked not great at all! Great video the scenery looked like a schmushkie!

Really great series of videos covering Sri Lanka. I never expected the country to be anything like this, nor did I expect the food and the people to be so interesting. It was never a country that was on my bucket list, after watching these videos, it is almost at the top of my list. Thanks for the videos, some of the best yet. I was unable to watch the vegetarian food section as all this unnecessary suffering to harmless vegetables was horrific, so I made up for it with that fantastic chicken curry! Looks great!

Seems like nowadays anything wrapped in a banana leaf is mistakenly labeled as a lamprai.

Exactly, lamprais has to be baked. It's hard to find authentic lamprais even in Colombo. Dutch burgher union has authentic dutch inspired food.
