don't know if i'm alone on this one but i see so many straight lines, ridges and edges on this guy he looks like he's made out of many brown, grey and yellow Lego pieces.
it kind of sucks that MT decided to put all 5 in a set.. though i don't feel a thing for the limbs, i would absolutely LOVE to have Metal Storm in my collection because he looks like a really fun little fella
I really wanted to love these guys because I'm a big Technobot fan, but I'm not really digging how most of them turned out aesthetically. Seeing how fiddly this guy looks in the video helps make me feel better about skipping the set.
Have you seen Warbotron's effort? I think it's ugly as sin, but since I like the Maketoys aesthetic, maybe you'll dig it. It's much more G1 faithful. Also, not trying to convince you, but Sonic Drill easily has the most complicated transformation of any of the bots of this set and honestly, once you've done it once or twice, it feels really simple.
Yeah, I'm not feeling that one either. Maketoys hits much closer to home, but there are a few decisions I just didn't agree with, mostly Afterburner-related.
emblom52 Oh, I totally get it. That's why I thought you might like Warbotron's. Much more G1-esque. Maketoys always does these sorts of re-imaginings rather than straight G1 updates.
could you please record your videos with the camera pointed a little higher a lot of your videos cut of the top and we miss some transformations. if you would do that, that would be awesome. been watching your videos for a long time :)
To be honest it's not look like a Lego piece combining this it's more to a model kit/gunpla/gundam. The parts looks like it be stick to a frame. Well maybe it's just me or maybe because of the coloring of this figure that make it that way
this isn't a question about the figure but did the Hasbro AoE Snarl come in yet, it's been more than three months since you said in the review for the Takara version
To be honest, I was waiting to see this figure's reviews and Im disappointed saddly... The figure in robot mode looks like a Lego, seriously it looks like its built by lego's its gone a lot of kibble on its back, its not impressive nor shouts out Nosecone, idk the figure feels very meh to me, making me not buy this set. People prob have different opinions about it but thats just how I see this figure very bland, not fun, and looks like it made of lego's
Plus one more thing that they designed badly, is that the clips on this guy's shoulder, or rather most of the C clips in this set, tends to stress very easily. Several reports on the net saying that after the first time of transforming, they already showed severe stressed marks and get people worry about how many times of pressure can those clips bear.
For a scramble city guy, that transformation is BANEHNEH!
U shall forever remain the pop-off king.
Please show Ripper combined with Quantron on friday
That thing in front of the cockpit looks like a safety guard for the cockpit so debris from the drill doesn't pelt it too badly.
What I was thinking, yeah :)

Yup I see the same thing
Just by looking at the thumbnail I automatically thought that.
a quick note, i have the toy and the brown peice that sticks out the back can be folded down, dosn't make a huge diferance but thought i'd mention it.

I wished you transformed from robot to vehicle instead since it came out of the box that way.
How do these compare to the fansproject not stunt icons? Like the size differences

emblom52 Ah. He's my favorite one of the set. Love the Tron-cycle design. But to each his own.
Afterburner was one of my favorite Transformers as a kid. I am ludicrously picky about updates and I feel that the Maketoys version strays too far.

Cameras are know to bring bad luck.
at first i thought he was lego idk y it just did for some reason

so im wondering, why cant I get this individually like other combiner figures? can someone or you Peaugh answer this please.
Because he's only available in a box set...
thats lame, maketoys suck for this. i only liked a few figures from the set.
Find someone trustworthy to split a set. I'm sure there are others out there who feel the same way.

H-Drill, so overdone!
