@TheBuragi yep, Japan is a completely different gaming landscape. They love portable gaming there, that's why the Switch has outsold the PS4 in Japan already.
Supposedly the MHP3rd team is in charge of this one, so we can expect some great things if they're taking inspiration from their previous work and World.

The only thing i didn't like was the relative downgrade in the visuals of the game compared to world but i always say that it's a very small personal nitpick that has no bearing on how amazing this MH game is going to be. Not too good. There are a really small number of switch players in general. Most of them play pc. That's where the MH community is primarily active. The response on their discords seem to be fairly positive.

I think it's so funny that they say it looks Japanese. As a american I always thought the game was Japanese in design. It's never been even close to how a american art direction would go. Sure it's had western elements but lets be honest 80% of the armor makes you look like a Kamen rider villain.

Alot of portable 3rd fans i'm seeing getting excited for Rise. As a World newbie, I'm just excited about all the QOL changes being brought over, plus the wirebug. So many ways to make the clutchclaw less situational and more fluid overall (plus no more tenderising thank Gogmaz). And all the mobility & exploration. It really does look like it'll have all my favourite aspects of Breath of the Wild, Spiderman or even Gravity Rush. The demo can't come soon enough!
