Remember, it is not just about weight loss. To me, that is a benefit of eating a PHD: eating healthy to heal your body first. Let the weight loss happen naturally. I have lost 47 lbs. on my carnivore journey, but I did carnivore to heal my type 2 diabetes. I am still working on improving my health, but currently, I feel great. Congratulations on starting your journey.
It is fast- maybe a little too fast so I’ll have to keep an eye on it. The Littles definitely help in the weight loss journey cause I’m always up doing something or taking a walk to the park!
As a former consumer of coffee, flavored cream and sugar, I can assure you 100% you can drink just black coffee. Just halving the creamer, do that for a week, then half it again for another week, and then ditch it for good! I have been free of that chain for over 10 years, and it was one of the most liberating things I ever did and a reminder that I have the power to change anything I put my mind to. You can do it!
I've been watching you guys since the beginning. Congratulations on the twins! I also had another baby during the same time and it set me back for sure. The last time I went carnivore the digestive symptoms became unbearable and I ended up stopping at 36 days. It's been hard for me to find anyone with good advice, i feel like most people feel incredible right off the bat. BUT I really want to try again.
Hope your digestion is getting better in the next try; some ideas: maybe you are histamine intolerant and so you could try just non-aged meat? Maybe you do not tollerate dairy, eggs or sea food / fish? Turned out for me that eggs do not work well for me. I do mostly lion diet. Good luck, you can find a solution! :) just keep on trying different options. Maybe transfer slowly into lion, then check if you feel well and slowly incorporate more like starting with butter and when it works out then generally dairy or eggs and watch hot body etc.
It took three weeks for me to get over my digestive issues, and then a further three weeks for my bowels to calm down. There were nights, in the beginning, that I would wake up so hot and with a racing heart, nausea, and afraid of what was happening. But that only happened a handful of times and then stopped. It's tough, but I encourage to try again and just push through! However, you may need to transition slowly. I went cold turkey, but there's a couple carnivore docs who say to go slow. Do what you need to do, but don't give up -- you can do it!
Congratulations ! I'm so glad you're doing well and doing this diet, because you're going to need lots of energy to take care of two little ones ! ❤ They're so cute. 🎉 The energy will be there, more and more. Carnivore also helps with depression and post partum depression. ❤
Thank you so much! I was good on carnivore for 90 days and lost 30 lbs but then “fell off / got off” the wagon for 90 days from social pressure. Pain and some weight came back and I’m ready to commit and partner with you! I’m hoping 30 lbs before Christmas! Love your recipes!
Glad to hear you are doing great! Today is day 12 for me. I'm only going to weigh myself the first day of every month. I also have a goal to lose 100 pounds. I started at my highest weight ever of 276 pounds. For only 12 days so far, I feel great. I can tell that my face looks clearer and thinner and I feel like my stomach has shrunk some also. The food noise is gone and I am just following my hunger cues. Some nights I'm not hungry so I won't eat. I have definitely been experiencing some headaches so I need to do electrolytes. When I was eating junkfood, I would always mindlessly eat even when I wasn't hungry. I was a sugar and carb addict. I have failed too many times before and hate having to start over. So I just keep focusing on how good I feel.
I couldn't figure out how to edit and add more. Anyway, I do not eat breakfast and I just have lunch and dinner. I usually wait until at least 12 to have lunch. Sometimes I'm not hungry until 1 or 2. So I just eat once I feel hungry. I do have coffee with half and half since I wake up between 6 and 7am. I'll have either 1 or 2 cups of coffee. Yes, it sucks that it breaks my fast but it is a habit to wake up and have my coffee and read my Bible before we begin our homeschool day with my 5 kids. So, you could swap and have coffee for breakfast and then eat for lunch and dinner. Eventually you could then switch it up and push your coffee back to lunch time. I have done black coffee in the past, but I'm definitely not a fan haha. Plain black tea is another option to not break your fast. I do that sometimes. But yeah, I always have the same thought about my body eating it's own fat lol.
Hey Melissa- congrats on getting back on track! It’s so hard to start again when you feel like you’ve failed so many times before- but we just have to keep trying 💪 and wow- homeschooling FIVE! that’s amazing - we’re doing a bit of at home preschool with my 3 yo (love it as a former teacher turned SAHM) but I don’t think I could do it long term like you! Nice!
@carnivorecouple Thank you! I finally weighed so I wanted to give an update. On day 1 on September 16th, I weighed 276 and on October 1st, I weighed 263.2 so I am down 12.8 pounds. I don't want to let the scale dictate my mood, so that's why I will just weigh the beginning of each month. It definitely encourages me to keep going when I see that number get lower. I look forward to continuing to hear about your journey. ❤️
Amazing weightloss in the past 30 days! 😍 You got this! Just keep on doing it! 💪 I am already at my healthy BMI range after over 1 year of carnivore and mostly OMAD but just tried my first 24 h dry fast and was pleasantly surprised. It was really easy, no hunger just a bit of thirst and a bit of headache but high energy and amazing mood. I tried it for weight maintenance and further healing (I do have autoimmune, already improved on carnivore). Thought I mention it to you as dry fast does speed up weight loss more than water fast as fat is broken down to water. Maybe dry fasting can be handy in your tool box in case you hit a plateau in 2025 and would like to switch things up. Good luck on your further journey. 🤗 Love your channel! ❤️
Your welcome. Just did my second fasting dry fasting day and no hunger and a lot of energy. 💪 Wanted to go to 45 h dry fast but stopped at around 30 h because I could not sleep. Always listen to your body. But I really like it. And the IBS symptoms I had the days before are gone since then too. :)
@@petuniaromania6294 Yes I think so. It's a very good source of fat. There's 14 grams of fat in a tablespoon. I like that the taste is a little nutty. I drink 2 coffee in the morning with half a tablespoon of Ghee in each. Love the taste. BTW I don't drink my coffee in a clear mug, I don't want to see that it's black coffee. 😆
Hmm if your current schedule is working, why move your meals around? Remember you’re a mom of newborns, don’t stress yourself out too much. If it stops working then consider longer fasts then. Maybe that morning coffee with some cream is more important right now just to keep you going.
Great job! I too have a cast iron grill pan I use on my grill! I think its brilliant! It makes for easier clean up and takes up less space than having two grills. Congratulations on your beautiful family! You are both doing the best thing you can for them and yourselves. New sub here!
Congrats on your twins, they're SO cute. Try unrefined coconut oil in your coffee. Or ghee. Put unflavored electrolyte drops in your coffee (hi lyte) and zevia, until you are fat adapted, or if it's really hot outside. Lastly, bundle up the kids, get them in the stroller, and get out there and get your 10,000 steps in. I've been carnivore for almost 2 yrs, have reversed my T2D & HBP, am 66 yrs old & have had a stroke. So I'm challenging you to match my 10k steps a day. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!😀 The 10k steps really help! Ps...I'm 5'1", used to weigh 200 lbs, now weigh 120.
Congrats on your weight loss and keeping it off! Thanks for the encouragement- and the CHALLENGE! I’ve been looking into MCT oil / collagen for coffee so thank you for the recommendation!
Use real butter in your coffee instead of cream. Has the same effect, and if you area already fat-adapted, it will not break your fast. If you want, you can slowly reduce the amount you're using until you can drink it black. Personally, I prefer the butter now. It keeps the fast going longer for me.
Happy for you mamacita! At this pace you WILL meet your Christmas goal. I’m rooting for you. Please consider demonstrating your smash burger making skills for us. Thanks in advance!
I used to drink a lot of coffee and also with HWP or half and half or milk and sometimes butter. I still do occasionally but I wanted a healthier option and switched to hot tea. I drink twinings black tea and buy it off amazon. Has a very subtle almost sweet taste. Not a harsh/bitter tea like Lipton/most brands i found in the store. Now I actually prefer hot tea over coffee. Good luck! I will commit to losing 30lbs by the new year with you. Been animal based since december and have lost but too many cheats. Starting strict carnivore tomorrow. Congratulations on the babies and your recent loss. Keep it up!
OMG those babies are adorable. I just found out my youngest daughter finally after all these years managed to get pregnant so we are on our way and I feel like it's going to be a girl and she would like to have twins and I told her she's nuts LOL but good luck with your bundles of joy
I started three weeks ago, first week was a ketovore, so I was kind of soothing myself into carnivore, then I went full carnivore two weeks ago. I don't own a scale for now, but my guestimate is that I started at around 265 Lbs. Yesterday, I measured myself, and I only lost inches in my thighs (Which is my major problematic area actually). I lost around 4 inches of each thigh, which is huge for me. Happy Happy!
Mindy Pelz says pure cream - as long as you don't have a lot - might not break your fast if you are fat-adapted enough. Also, the secret to water for me was buying three glass VOS water bottles and reusing them over and over since the mouth of the bottle is wide enough for the dishwasher. I made it a habit to fill two of them the first time I walk into the kitchen and put them where I will be able to get to them (on my desk since I work at home). I drink water without even thinking about it. I put LMNT in at least one of them.
Several comments here have mentioned having cream / butter in small amounts in coffee doesn’t break a fast- I didn’t know that. Will definitely have to look into to it. Thanks for the info 👌
A thought about extending your fast time could be eating breakfast with coffee (this way you don't have to worry about your coffee breaking your fast), having a late lunch, and skipping dinner. Some people feel they can't skip dinner because that is time with the family. Instead of eating, drink your water. That could help you stay accountable for drinking more water. Some may have a concern about energy during the day, and if you are forcing yourself to fast in the morning, you might not be giving yourself the readily available fuel from eating. Try different eating windows and see what works best for you.
I actually really like this idea- we have such a morning routine around eating breakfast and I normally wake pretty hungry but and naturally less hungry in the evening. Thanks for the suggestion!
I put 1 cup of my coffee in a Pyrex 4 cup measuring cup and froth, then add the remaining coffee and stir. No mess. I also add all beef protein powder, beef gelatin, a little pure powdered stevia and 1/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract. It makes a hardy delicious latte.
I do the coffee blended with 1/2 tablespoon of butter and a teaspoon of coconut oil- you must blend it in the blender. I add some electrolytes as well. It’s like a latte. Congratulations on such a great start to your health journey.
Wow this is excellent for a mum. And your hubby. I'm also on a low carb. By Christmas hope to loose more. I've lost alot also. All the best. Please share I'm also on magnesium. Take care. 🎉😊
There is a problem with not eating enough carnivore food in a day. Especially as a woman and new mom. There are such negatives to undereating even though we have learned our whole life to undereat if we want great results. I would suggest checking with Kelly at No Carb life and Bella at Steak and Butter Gal, for example, for more great information. Keep up the great work!
I don’t think I’m under-eating, I’m eating until I’m full and whenever I’m hungry. I think perhaps I had a whole lot more water weight because of breastfeeding? Unsure. Anyways, I’m making sure to follow that carefully so my milk supply doesn’t drop.
Congratulation on the babies! Breastfeeding - twins! - is more important than losing weight by an artificial date. Do carnivore if you can, but don't feel bad if switching to keto is what your body needs. Hopefully you have researched doing carni or keto while nursing.
Thank you- and yes breastfeeding to me is more important to me than anything. And yes I’ve looked into it. The main issue I’ve experienced is dehydration- so just having to drink SO much water.
I disliked black coffee also. A coworker brought me Juan Valdez coffee… I now drink that. It is totally different from our usual coffee. Smooth, not bitter. I couldn’t believe the difference. Try it!
For your coffee, instead of cream use a raw egg or 2 and froth it up and add to a small amount of your coffee slowly and keep whisking while adding the rest of your coffee. Many have said it's quite creamy and yummy. I ordered a frother from amazon and just waiting for delivery which at that point will be egging my teas and coffee's daily.. 😊
Put an egg in your coffee or 2 tbsp of butter or both....blend very well!!!!!Oh!!!! one egg, 1tbsp butter, blend and slowly add hot water, about a cup. Yum and 0 carbs.
Congratulations on your 18 lb loss and thanks for the tip on how to make a proper smash burger! Have you seen those human body fat replicas? I bought myself a 1 lb at Amazon. Hold one of those in your hand and then think about having lost 18 of those and it really has an impact. It really motivates me to continue my weight loss journey.
@@judithschneider6202 I use Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. I prefer the Mexican medium roast. Not all of their coffees are mold free, so make sure you check first. The last of my pain went away when I switched to mold free. Good luck!
I went back to drink and coffee cuz I really missed it and I went dairy-free because dairy does not agree with me gives me inflammation but I can eat butter and what I decided to do was add a chunk of butter and use my frother and whip it up , now I have to admit that I do use flavored sugar-free syrup it's not for everybody but it doesn't affect me and I like the taste of the caramel pecan it's like a treat for me so don't crucify me in the comments people but that's just me and I don't recommend it for everyone. But if you're missing coffee and you can't have dairy put some butter in it and just whip it up with the frother ,yummy.
LoL I've never been a coffee drinker. But I used to Think I needed caffeine in the morning. I cut out the jet alert caffeine tablet in the morning and I don't think i need it at all ! But you might want to try them. Each tablet is 200mg caffeine. Equal to about a cup of coffee. Beautiful babies ❤❤
Yeah I'm struggling with the creamer and coffee too because it's got sugar and some carbs. I've actually switched to tea, Black tea has caffeine in it and it doesn't have any real major amount of sugar or carbs and that might help you with the caffeine though it isn't as high as coffee
I just started the carnival diet. I walk 5 miles a day and I’ve been on the carnival day for nine days. I start at 270. I’m down to 251. I did because I have high blood pressure and I tried all kinds of other diets and things and I wanted to get away from the blood pills so far everything seems to be OK.
I know this won’t sound very tasty, but I have found. I don’t need coffee to get energy if I have a can of sardines and I hated sardines and once I started eating them and made myself eat one can a day and I eat them in the morning all of a sudden I feel like I’ve had 10 energy drinks. I am clear and I amenergized and I don’t need to have coffee any longer at least not to wake up and have energy.
Women typically need a higher fat content to protein in order to lose weight. If you find your weight isn't coming off like it should, increase the fat. Just use half the cream that you would normally put in your coffee. And don't worry about it. The fat in the cream is good for you.
Congratulations on the beatiful birth of your babies. It is such a blessing. Are you nursing (if you don't mind my asking)? Because i nursed. Headaches I get all the time when I fast. I need that coffee. Good luck❤
The headaches, nausea, dizziness, or fatigue mean you are not getting enough salt and other electrolytes. Drink a cup of salty broth, pickle juice, or ketoade. You will feel an improvement very quickly. Just salting your food isn't enough at first.
Yes, well I’m exclusively pumping (it’s easier with twins / they were premies and one of them still can’t latch). I think I’ve finally discovered I was just really dehydrated- once I’ve added in a lot more water plus electrolytes the headaches have thankfully gotten better.
Great job and congrats on your babies!! I am breastfeeding my 3 week old and have been wanting to go carnivore/ketovore but have been hesitant because I don’t want my milk supply to drop. Has your supply taken a hit at all?
My supply has not dropped (I’m exclusively pumping mainly btw as it’s really difficult to nurse both at the same time when I’m alone). However, everyone is different and I’ve always been an over-supplier. The main thing I’ve noticed is it’s SO much easier for me to get dehydrated. It’s a constant battle to keep my (pee) sorry… a good color because I’m flushing water from low carb and flushing water from breastfeeding (usually pumping 60+oz a day). So that’s been my main issue.
I know they are so damn Delicious, but Kraft singles are only 51% cheese and it's processed nastiness, seed oils or not. But hey you keep going you're doing great and fantastic results
@@carnivorecouple i just use real cheese slices...still delicious. But i get it, my wife is hooked on those...still better than your standard american diet. You're doing great- whatever you gotta do to make it work
I am 64 went on the conivore for 30 days znd didn't lose weight etc and I feel like crap so I like to know what I am doing wrong drink 2 cups of coffee with butter eat eggs ground beef with butter steak with butter a slice of cheese on a hamburger patty drink the lmnt, drink 2 glasses of 32 oz of water.
I think the idea is you’re truly in ketosis, fat adapted, before you’re starting fasting. If your body is still fat burner. When one is fasting, the body gets this as a signal as hunger So it will slow metabolism.
I guess you are not nursing, if you’re considering fasting. If you find that you have any issues with elimination. You may need to eat more meat and fat. Be consistent but don’t try too hard. Hope your babies will sleep though the night before mine did! Once you get that 8 hours, it like being reborn! Thanks for the peek of your little twins!

Will do!! Thanks for the encouragement ❤️
You could try pouring your coffee over ice and having black iced coffee. I found it a much easier transition.
Same
Will give it a go- thanks for the recommendation
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Keep it up!
So glad you’re back on your journey too! Thanks for the tea recommendation
Great job!!!
Thank you!!
Yep. Coffee with butter, MCT oil and I love the chocolate Carmel LMNT in mine. Keeps me fasted. Different for everyone. 😉
Thanks for the ideas! Will definitely look into it.
Girl, I'm right there with you!! My goal is to lose 30lbs by Christmas, so consider me your sidekick in crime for the next 90 days! ;)
Yeah! We got this! 💪 -30lbs for both of us for Christmas
OMG those babies are adorable. I just found out my youngest daughter finally after all these years managed to get pregnant so we are on our way and I feel like it's going to be a girl and she would like to have twins and I told her she's nuts LOL but good luck with your bundles of joy
Haha! Congratulations on your new granddaughter!
Wow! That’s amazing 💪 great work!
Good job! 👍
Coffee with butter is delicious 😋 you can use a frother to turn it into a latte.
Great idea!! Thank you
I haven't figured out how to keep my handheld frother from frothing my coffee right out of the cup lol.
I definitely love Heavy Cream and Splenda in my coffee. Can't do black, but I've been doing plain black iced coffee, and it's good
Wow this is excellent for a mum.
Yes, I worry that she is undereating but she will know if her breast milk supply goes down. She is so brave going
I don’t think I’m under-eating, I’m eating until I’m full and whenever I’m hungry. I think perhaps I had a whole lot more water weight because of breastfeeding? Unsure. Anyways, I’m making sure to follow that carefully so my milk supply doesn’t drop.
Congrats, you're doing great.
I love smash burgers too.
I got a goal to lose 25lbs by the end of the year.
You got this!
The Deluxe American cheese is very clean. Laura Spath has talked about that cheese also.
It’s my fav for sure 👍
Wow guys interesting I'm wanting to go carnivore myself ...i guess I'm afraid to take the first step
You could always start with keto/ketovore and see how you feel. Best of luck!
Try it!
I might have to try that- the bitterness is the only reason I currently add stuff
I replaced cream in coffee with chocolate caramel LMNT. It’s so good 😊
Congratulations on your 18 lb loss and thanks for the tip on how to make a proper smash burger! Have you seen those human body fat replicas? I bought myself a 1 lb at Amazon. Hold one of those in your hand and then think about having lost 18 of those and it really has an impact. It really motivates me to continue my weight loss journey.
I have not seen those- that’s really cool and puts it into perspective.
Go for mold free coffee and MCT oil powder. Super rich and creamy in coffee. Put chocolate LMNT and it's perfection!!!
What is a good coffee?
@@judithschneider6202 I use Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. I prefer the Mexican medium roast. Not all of their coffees are mold free, so make sure you check first. The last of my pain went away when I switched to mold free. Good luck!
Fabula is mold free
I have never heard of mold free coffee- will have to look into it- thanks!
I use that sugar free syrup also
That sounds delicious - and I totally use sugar free syrups sometimes too ❤️👌
LoL I've never been a coffee drinker.
I had completely forgotten about tea- thank you for the suggestion!
Your babies are so cute God bless you
Thank you! ❤️
I know it's a typo but "CARNIVAL DIET"Sounds Great!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know this won’t sound very tasty, but I have found.
Decaf right, what is ur favorite brand? Great video ❤ congratulations on babies 😇❤️
…. I’m always drinking the caffeinated coffee 🙈 we honestly use great value coffee most of the time 😂 or 8oclock
Women typically need a higher fat content to protein in order to lose weight. If you find your weight isn't coming off like it should, increase the fat. Just use half the cream that you would normally put in your coffee. And don't worry about it. The fat in the cream is good for you.
Awesome!!!!
Thanks!!
Butter won't break your fast. Try whisking a little bit of butter into your coffee instead of cream for that first cup.
Try an egg and some milk in your coffee. It’s not as good as creamer but it isn’t bad.
@@carnivorecouple thank you so much for the reply and the info!
Rewatching ❤❤❤
I like americano ..single or double shot espresso and then hot water 8 oz or to your liking ..great job ..carnivore on 💜💜
Hmm never had one. Will have to try!
Try bulletproof coffee, really creamy and delicious 😊
Thanks for the tip!
Bulletproof coffee works for me.
Many say heavy cream does not break a fast.
After reading several of the comments on here I’m finding many mentioning that - I didn’t know! Thanks for the info
I got sick and fell off the wagon. I know I need to get started again. I didn't have cravings for "crap food." I wasn't hungry all the time.
It’s so hard when you get sick. You can get back on track! One day at a time
In the mornings, I have black coffee with some butter, salt and iodine in it. Protein and Carbs break your fast.
Several people have mentioned fat (like butter or cream) not breaking the fast- I’ve never heard of that. It makes sense. Thanks for the info
@@carnivorecouple Dr Berry said it as well. I probably use at least double the butter he says 😇
Women lose weight differently then men do..
Yep ❤️
I know they are so damn Delicious, but Kraft singles are only 51% cheese and it's processed nastiness, seed oils or not. But hey you keep going you're doing great and fantastic results
Yes- I mean right now it helps me eat the burgers. Maybe eventually I’ll be able to transition away to something else.
@@carnivorecouple i just use real cheese slices...still delicious. But i get it, my wife is hooked on those...still better than your standard american diet. You're doing great- whatever you gotta do to make it work
Heavy whipping cream in coffee
I am 64 went on the conivore for 30 days znd didn't lose weight etc and I feel like crap so I like to know what I am doing wrong drink 2 cups of coffee with butter eat eggs ground beef with butter steak with butter a slice of cheese on a hamburger patty drink the lmnt, drink 2 glasses of 32 oz of water.
I think the idea is you’re truly in ketosis, fat adapted, before you’re starting fasting. If your body is still fat burner. When one is fasting, the body gets this as a signal as hunger So it will slow metabolism.
Actually whole cream could be good because it will start your body burning fat, once it burns the fat from the cream, it will start burning stored fat
Cute couple.
I know this is hard, so stop coffee and stay with water!
Try chocolate Lmnt in your coffee
Never tried that- will have to!
Great job! Keep your protein and fats but especially fat high during breastfeeding
I am breastfeeding - just doing what makes me feel the best and not drop milk supply
@@carnivorecouple ❤️that’s great! Your babies are getting the best nutrition then.
Green tea in the morning.
