Im a Canes fan so this is bittersweet for me. Obviously i like it when Fsu loses but i understand and have felt this type of loss. But seeing Fsu and Miami struggle with lesser teams is just sad! I wanna see our teams have good years and matter again.
It's sad because Miami and fsu were once mighty Powerhouses growing up watching it's hard to believe these programs hit rock bottom
I miss they days where both were top 10 schools. And every game we played against each other were dog fights.
As a Gators fan, I miss the good old days when Florida, Florida State, and Miami were dominating their respective conferences, and all three were Top 10.
Same. I hate Miami and Florida, but those were the best games and was so much fun when we were all good
Likewise. I've been rooting for Miami too. College football is so much better when we both beat the breaks off everyone else and have a dogfight for the state and national title.
Corey Clark is the only good thing about FSU football currently.

@@josephm3615 this wasn’t on JT or KZ though. Norvell and his staff lost this game. Maybe some of it is all the penalties and dropped passes, but this wasn’t a QB problem. This is a coaching and execution problem. As a UCF fan I have watched KZ up close and he is a baller - but you have to have the cast around him and the coaching staff to get it done.
We don’t have the cast so he doesn’t fit this team. We’re a running team and he doesn’t help with that and as a passer he’s not head and shoulders above Jordan Travis

Gators fan here. Not to gloat because I watch you guys every week. I love all the warchant lineup, everyone is first class. I'll just say I love my Gators and love college football. And college football is great when FSU is great. Rooting for the noles to make that comeback

As a 41 Year Seminole Fan the whole issue is very simple just as it has been for the past 4 seasons........Its called "Basics" FSU players on both side of the Ball are Failing to do "Basic" techniques of football...Tackling, Blocking and are Failing to Execute plays.

You guys are saving Norvells ass!!!! This coaching staff looks like trash. This is the low of all lows. This is not a FSU football problem, this is a FSU athletic department program. Not giving a National champion coach like Jimbo what we wanted to say at FSU was the first and the biggest problem for FSU. Everything after that will be a downhill fall and a up hill battle.

For the most part I agree. I don't think Norvell should have been hired, just like Taggert should not have been hired. I don't fault the play calling last week against notre dame. Neville did not ice the kicker. He challenged a call that put the kicker 10 yards closer to the end zone. Any coach would and should do that. 4th down in their own territory....jimbo did that practically every other game, and usually worked. But because it is norville and not jimbo....i guess we can't have any of that.
ND squeeks by FSU last week...JSU gets beat 31-0 last week....ND lucky to beat Toledo 32-29, GA crushes UAB 56-7, FSU loses to JSU 20-17....that says it all. FSU is under coached, no recievers, no QBs, and our best athletes are our RBs and we refuse to shove the ba down a l'esser opponents throat because we want to spread out instead of play action. We block better running...also im sick of Defenders stepping over the opponent after every tackle, acting like they are tangled up. Its bush league begging for attention. They'd do well to play smarter and make play once in awhile

I told y'all that Notre Dame is overrated, and that our performance last week, was not a good barometer for this team. Notre Dame should have lost to Toledo today; point blank. Jacksonville State lost to UAB last week , 31 to 0, with 154 yards of total offense. UAB got beat by Georgia 56-7, with 174 yards of total offense !!! What does it all mean? Simple, we suck, and we'll be lucky to go .500 this season.

Guys listen, I am a UCF fan and have adopted FSU this season because of KZ. You guys have a baller, but Norvell and the staff along with poor execution by defense and receivers is doing this to you. KZ needs to have a cast that will help him get it done in order to win. Those guys need to step it up with NOT dropping passes. Coaching needs to make a damn decision on who is QB. I’ve watched KZ play and he will you to win, but the team and coaching HAVE to do their part.

Honestly, i'm not gonna question the decision to get rid of Willie. I think it was the right move. BUT ANSWER ME THIS. Jimbos teams, they quit. The Houston loss in 2015 Oregon loss in 2014 and the louisville blowout in 2016. Then willie came along, alot of the same players and his team quit. Here's what baffles me. After all the transfers and new faces etc. How is this team with a coach that should be instilling his culture why do they look just as bad. We're 4 years into this 3 coaches and the same result. There has to be a common denominator here

As a die hard NOLES fan since 1990, these past 5 years have been super difficult. Last night's game was a complete embarrassment. Last night was embarrassing. I will ALWAYS be a NOLE win, lose, or tie but we need to get better !!! I hope that our football team most especially the coaches do a better job next week. ONE LOVE from Beautiful Pensacola!!!! Haven't checked in here since the big Boise State loss. FSU fans were beside themselves over that loss. I'm guessing they're suicidal now.
Dillingham is who everyone should be fuming about. Anytime you throw a fade on 4th down, that shows you have no faith in your own playcalling and are just hoping your guy gets the ball. Corbin and Ward are by far the best players on offense and should be getting 10-20 touches each. Toafili is a good change up but he's good for 5-10 touches max. The line is far better at run blocking and it builds their confidence. Milton can be a good game manager, but he hasn't shown he can carry the team. The wr's are not good at all. Everyone w/ eyes saw that we got back into the game vs ND by running the ball. Why are we trying cute little gadget plays when we don't have a comfortable lead? Stick to the basics, especially against such an inferior team.
Defense had zero help for the O, but did well until that last play. I don't think Fuller should be getting so much heat, but Dillingham can go today and Norvell should def be on the hot seat. If the recruits go, then he should too. I thought the embarrassment was over. Had such high hopes for this team.

This offense will never be more than below average. It is a single read passing attack. That makes it easy on the QB, when that read is open. If its not, now the QB is scrambling around and looking for an open receiver. The other big element to the offense is the read option game, which is eliminated by having a non mobile QB. Defensively, what a mess. FSU has some talent on defense, but the DC is a joke.

If a head coach in football doesn't actually call plays on defense or offense then is the bad play calling on the head coach or the person/persons calling those plays?
Like Nick Saban doesn't call plays he has an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator for that. And how many times does that happen before the offensive and/or defensive coordinators are fired and new ones are brought in?
And how times of that happening do you fire a head coach?
That's the question. Because this defensive secondary was gashed by Notre Dame for 366yds and Jacksonville St had 242yds. Thats over 600yds in 2 games.
The offensive play calling isn't much better. The direct snaps, bad 4th down play calls, not running Corbin and Ward more early on and consistently, poor reading of jsu's coverages, the throws, the dropped passes, and so much more. Just abandoning using Travis at all. It was a complete failure on both sides.
Norvell may not call the plays but he allows it. The difference with saban is he takes his coaches to task after a bad play call not after a whole game full
I think it's more not preparing the team. There way more athelitic etc. They just don't know what ot when to do things. Like catching the ball, reading blitzes.o doubt there even practicing.

Defense should’ve never even been in that situation in the first place. The offensive game plan was atrocious and the playcalling was a perfect example of “playing with your food”.

The issue is Norvell brought all of his buddies with him from Memphis that are absolutely unqualified to Coach at FSU mainly the DC and OC period!! Norvell your DC & OC needs to be fired pronto this is not about being buddies it's about winning damn Football Games. One more thing, kick the damn FG and put points on the board a win is a win forget trying to show your not scared to go for it on 4th down. Poor play calling. Stop rotating QB’s. Run the ball 3 times and punt. Receivers can’t get open. Run crossing routes or run routes. The DL played great. Punter was great. Keep climbing. The worst loss that I remember was 31-0 to wake. This eclipsed that.
And continue to coach and play like this. Watch some of the recruits start to decommit. Probably just helped those not commited with their choice by taking FSU off their list.
