This is a fantastic scope ,mine is the 12x50 the clarity is mind boggling, I've swapped my MTC Viper for this scope , buy one ,you won't be disappointed ,it's better than any of my FFP scopes , The build quality is first class , it comes with everything you need to mount the scope to any rail , dovetail, weaver picattiny , it does them all Steve Kemp
Hi Rich, any sign of the second instalment coming out? Also have you tried with night vision and are there any plans for a x8 or x6 version. Cheers, Mark
Hi Mark. The weather has been against me recently and most of my shooting has been at night with an ATN X-Sight. I used the Atom for a squirrel shooting session and my mate used the 12x50. 21 squirrels later we were impressed! I'm hoping for another session on the squirrels soon and will try to get some footage down. As for an 8x or 6x I'm afraid I have got a clue!
Hi Matt. Yes, perfect for the job. I have the smaller 10x30 Atom on my Ranger and love the combination. The additional benefit of it being zero eye relief is that you can use the rifle in its shortest configuration. For what it's worth, we sell the two MTC Prismatic scopes on the Alpha Militaria website: alphamilitaria.com/shop/mtc-swat-prismatic-12-x-50/
@@richsaunders6515 do you think it would look to big on the ranger xr or go for the smaller one 10/30 what's the range on these mate thanks I am just on your website know
@@mattunderwood7018 Hi Matt. In all honesty, I'd go for the 10x30. It is appreciably smaller and I think balances the Ranger XR well. Of course you have 10x instead of 12x but the field of view is still enormous and I've never missed that additional 2x magnification. If you want to send email to hello@alphamilitaria.com I'd be happy to send you a few photos of my set up if it helps.
The objective lens is on the end of the scope farthest from the rifle's stock. Its purpose is to transmit light back to the ocular lens, which is the lens closest to your eye.
@@richsaunders6515 That certainly is wide. I own the Hawke Airmax 30 Touch 3-12x32 which also has the short eye relief of 1 inch and at 12 times magnification it's 18.2 feet, which is about 5.5 meters. I guess the 42mm tubing on the MTC helps make a wider field of view too. Would love to see a scope like this in first focal plain going from 8-32x magnification, would be awesome.
Hi Rich I enjoyed your review, but I don't think they are a new idea a few years ago a Russian chap actually had scopes made which I think they were 10x same again they could only be used on pcp I can't remember what they were called I think there was a few sold though I do think they are a bit expensive time will tell but i am sure we will see more coming out of China.
Thanks Robin. You're right. In fact MTC had a couple of zero eye relief scopes before these - the Connect range. Its the field of view that's really special on the SWATs and I think you're also right that we'll see more zero eye relief scopes in the future...
@@MrRockstar1968 Hi Stephen. It simply means that you cannot zoom in or out like you can with a variable magnification scope - say a 3-9 x 50 or 4-16 x50 scope. The magnification is fixed at 12x with the larger of the two SWAT scopes, or 10x in the case of the smaller 'Atom' model.
Reviews on these are as rare as the scopes themselves, so thank you.
I would love to see more, and footage showing through would be tops.
Thanks Henry. I'm hoping to get onto some squirrels at the weekend and shoot some more footage then with the Atom.

Good overview of the scopes. Cheers
Great review. Really like the look of the atom. Be interested to see these in action out in the field. Just subscribed
Thanks Mark. I'm hoping to get some footage of them in action soon. Thanks very much for the subscribe. RS.

considering the brocock tape all around the box, it is unlikely your missus' feet is going anywhere near the content inside

Correct Neil. Well done. Sorry if I got that the wrong round in my excitement.
Not a problem rich
Always glad to lend a hand.
Save any confusion
What's the field of view on the 12x50?
Huge Stephen. Its like looking behind you. Officially its 10m at 100 m.

Are they FFP or SFP?
Hi Stephen. Thanks for watching. The SWAT scopes are SFP. MTC's FFP scopes are the King Cobra and Cobra F1.
