I painted my black ‘93 Cobra myself in my 2 car garage/makeshift paint booth in 2020 and while not perfect it turned out amazing to me. Car was in similar condition when I acquired it 12 years ago perhaps a bit better. But as an AZ car the sun likely aged it. Something to be said for doing this work with your own hands - a certain level of appreciation. I definitely appreciate the details you describe here like pulling the quarter windows and all the trim. It’s the only way to do it right.
Hahaha, funny to see another channel I enjoy watching, with a superleggera none the less, commenting on a foxbody video! Good to see the fox getting some love.
Loving the Series dude. The production quailty is so good!! It feels like you've been doing this for seasons on seasons lol! I cant wait to get the next episode. Keep of the great work!!!
hi! i'm new to your channel, and i found it through a video by effspot on RUclips. i noticed you said you have at least some 70+ cars in your private collection. i swear, with that many pieces, you can make a whole series of "best of my current collection" with a simple walkaround, interior overview and possibly a fire up at the end. younger viewers will litterally never have seen some of the cars in your collection, and the vintage guys will comment on every possible detail, especially if something is not "right" in their opinion 😂🤣😂🤣😂 on the internet we just have to ignore the "bad", and focus on the good!
Glad to see you yanked the quarter windows. As I was watching them yank the window trim, I kept saying, "They better not just tape the quarter glass off." Amazing looking progress.
I was just going to post that lol, so true. Only way to do it correctly since I've seen so many repainted cars with issues in that area after a short period of time.
When you’re done painting the car, have Jakub clean the undercarriage with his dry skin ice machine. He did that on my black 93 Cobra that’s on his page.
I was just wondering if you were going to such detail on the front bumper, removing the wing and the quarter glass, why didn't you remove the mouldings, the rear bumper, the side skirts, the hatch, the doors and the front nose? So that way there isn't any over spray on anything and you can get 100% complete coverage on all edges. I think the car looks fantastic and would love to redo my mustang one day. Looking forward to the end result!
Door mouldings should stay on... The replicas from LMR aren't as good as the originals not even close. As for the side skirts.. I think it's ok to leave them on I did leave them on my 92 GT when I sprayed it.
@@roccosvan I understand that. Those metal strips inside the mouldings are very easily bendable. And then they're done once bent. Great job on bringing this car back to new!!
@@claymcclanahan9191 you're not wrong about taking the skirts off... But I think it depends on how bad condition they are in. Brew2l took his off for eg.
Hi Clay. The reason why we did not remove the side trims and some of the other parts off the vehicle is because ( If damaged during the removal process) the replacement reproduction parts available will never fit correctly like the original parts from Ford. Unfortunately, some of these OEM parts are discontinued from the manufacturer.
@@cmsmotorsports7616 I understand that. The edges are always a concern on any repaint. But the risk of messing up the mouldings or any other trim isn't worth it. Looking forward to seeing the end result!!
You may have answered this already, but what are the plans for this baby? Thanks my friend, really enjoy watching these videos! Always been a favorite for me 🤘🏻
Hi there! I’m a huge Mustang enthusiast and love the channel and contact. Very nice 93 Mustang. But once I saw those rear wheel come off, I started second guessing myself about the vehicle actually being a real 93 Mustang Cobra. The vehicle should have rear disk brakes, not drums. I’d double check the vin or call SVT if that’s a real 93 Cobra. A lot of those vehicles got retagged during the 90’s.
Agreed. Having a ‘93 Cobra. It shouldn’t have drums on the rear. Plus other tiny elements in watching the video. Curious to see the final product for the other ‘93 specific details.
I agree, it’s definitely a cobra. Im guessing it was in minor theft recovery. Probably they stole the cobra rear end and replaced it with a gt drum rear end.
Good morning, I just discovered your video website. What type and brand of drive on lift do you have and are you satisfied with it. Good luck and take care.
Is there a reason why you used Glasurit vs PPG paints to get your M6729A finish? Just curious as I would like to refinish my car and want to get the closest match to the original Ford paint. I am not tied to any of them or saying you were wrong, just wanted to know why.
Hey love the channel question I have a 91 gt that needs to be repainted it’s black it has about the same amount of work that this cobra needs how much would something like that cost to paint?
drum brakes (9:01) are not OEM on the 93 cobra...it is 4 wheel disc with 4 lug. Not original parts for sure. Who would put drum brakes on an SVT car? Shameful
EffSpot brought me here. I have 91 civic I bought in 1998 when I was 19 years old. I still have it, it’s completely stock. I was looking to do some restoration work on it, clear coat is peeling. Great stuff. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I’ve seen your cars at the car shows. Got to tell you, they all look great. Keep up the good work. You and your brother are great guys👍 it’s Joe with the Saleen SSC
Lots of hard work time and skills to get a car done proper, can,t wait to see the stang finished live and go for a cruise to the coast...Keep up the good work bro ,Im getting motivated to get my pony done up.

Cheers for the recommendation... this usd like a TV series. Awesome. Impeccable work. No wonder you go here. Keep grinding Gordon.
I LIKE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN everything with detail 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Awesome work on the fox bodys...
It is looking great! Hoping to see that you guys took it back tom as close to original as would be reasonable.
Thank you Eli.
Hey Shant - episode 1 popped up on my feed, this is awesome. Love the show!
Glad to see you yanked the quarter windows. As I was watching them yank the window trim, I kept saying, "They better not just tape the quarter glass off." Amazing looking progress.
Thank you Kevin. I appreciate it.

Going to be absolutely spectacular! 💯🙌✌
Awesome! I think you should show us the process again. You can use my car.

Found your channel by chance and really enjoyed it. You have a new subscriber
enjoying this series. Love the 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra. I wish I could get my hands on one.
When you’re done painting the car, have Jakub clean the undercarriage with his dry skin ice machine. He did that on my black 93 Cobra that’s on his page.
I would love to see this channel do a video showing off that process and the outcome.
Sure will. Definitely in the plans for the future episodes.
Awesome Job 👍🦊🚗🔧🇺🇲💪👊
wow, great show!
Much appreciated. Thank you. Stay tuned for more episodes.

I got a 1993 ford mustang 5.0 that I'm trying to get restored
This Cobra looks a LOT like my '88 GT. I'm hoping to do some major body work this summer and have it on the road by August.👍
Sweet! Good luck on you 88 GT project.
i need to do this to my 93 lx coupe

Is the car going to make it to fabulous fords forever? That would be so cool 😎
Unfortunately, not this year. But definitely in the up-and-coming Ford shows.

What's up with the drum brakes?
Stay tuned for more episodes.
Excellent! Do you plan on sourcing cobra wheels or keep the cobra r wheels
Hi there! We have already sourced the 93 Cobra period correct wheels.
Hey love the channel question I have a 91 gt that needs to be repainted it’s black it has about the same amount of work that this cobra needs how much would something like that cost to paint?
Thank you Daryl.
Why House Of Kolor reducer?
Good observation! With some formulas, House of Kolor reducer works best.
drum brakes (9:01) are not OEM on the 93 cobra...it is 4 wheel disc with 4 lug. Not original parts for sure. Who would put drum brakes on an SVT car? Shameful
Great catch! It must be a rear end taken out of a regular GT.
Hi Matthew. Good observation. Stay tuned for the future episodes.
You pulled the quarter windows but painted over the plastic 3M taped on side body mouldings? I don't understand that on a car this valueable.
Remove the ground effects and moldings. Not that hard. Replace the metal retaining strips. I guarantee they are rusted.
Awesome job on the fox wish you guys could do mine

Amazing. Welcome. Your 91 Civic is a super cool car. Good luck on the restoration.
awesome job
Is that the vibrant red? It looks really orange
Hello Kyle. Yes, its factory vibrant red color.

Amazing transformation so far boys. You all are very skilled and talented!
