- Star Wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor gave a panel at L.A. Comic Con 2024 to talk about the role, his career, and what he would like to see for Kenobi in the future. And he tells a great story from Revenge of the Sith at the end of the panel.
Ewan McGregor played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith) as well as in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus. Other roles he is well known for include parts in Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge, Pinocchio, Doctor Sleep, Christoper Robin, The Island, Black Hawk Down, Emma, Down with Love, and Big Fish, along with many more.

Fans be looking for another GREAT film trilogy.. Go back to the clone wars, but ALSO concentrate on characters like Quinlan Vos and A’Sharad Hett.. compelling characters that are intertwined with the current main characters, that also pull in characters Ventress and Aurra Sing. If you know you know. As a life long fan since 77 I call that peak Star Wars!

If Vader is ever in season 2, they better not use AI for the voice again. They should have an actual voice actor instead.
Why? It’s James Earl Jones that signed off on the AI voice. There’s no “ethical” issue there..
@@TheLeatheryman the problem here is that with him signing that stupid deal, he isn’t letting any new voice actor succeed him. That’s a loss of a major job opportunity. How is this good?

I'd love to see a live-action CLONE WARS movie with Mr. McGregor, Mr. Christensen and Ms. Greenblatt. It doesn't even have to be more than 90s minutes... just a singular mission (not yet seen in animation nor live-action). 🎬
I wonder what he thinks of the clone wars show since we know Hayden watched it. But seeing a story with them in live action during season of 2 of the clone wars when we saw episodes with other characters we can see what they were doing those episodes.

I honestly love the clone wars era but I want to see Obi-Wan being trading by Qui-Gon or Yoda using the force and being a hermit. Maybe building his home we see in episode 4. Then he just going around. That would be interesting. Stay within the lore or the continuity of the movies. Have that magic, the wonder… the action part can be there but obi-wan can’t be involved because he’s getting too old to fight. The first season kind of did that but needed better execution.
