casually like 40m/h depends on lobby. routing veins is a massive difference as well, as you get more skilled you'll have to preserve energy more and more
This is insane. I do like how you can still make bank with this strat even though you aren't as technical with your movement as in this video. I am noob and my equipment is trash, but with pretty low effort I can still make 17 mil/h armadillo mining, it's just that good

I agree, it even says in the armadillos description that it will break ore in the crystal hollows, and gemstones are ores because of them being affected by fortune. Also I was hearing about arma mining a year ago, but none of the public knew how to do it before implodent came along so even more reason to believe admins dont care.
the admins have changed armadillo (fixing the hyperspeed bug, offset, compacting energy bar in gui) so they've definitely done something to it, and if they wanted to "patch" it, they would've already lmao
@@Implodent cant remember which admin but someone said something like yesterday about fixing the armadillo. Most likely they will make it so pristine wont work which will of course pretty much kill it. Im not sure if it was said they were definitely going to fix it or maybe but I definitely heard it somewhere

I've been ruby mining for a while now. I'm quite well invested in mining (max divan, divan's drill, ect, only thing missing is max powder and black belt). I'd hope it's worth getting into armadillo mining; is it much different? I assume it will be quite hard to get used to, though I know it's likely well-worth it. I'm sick of digging and running my route, so I see this as a beacon of hope for my mining regards. I've soulbound everything, so I can't quit (because liquidation is bad), though I truly don't want to. Would it be worth it, assuming the barrier-of-entry with the gear I already have isn't too harsh in money?

armadillo is better. they were both about equal, especially if you sky mall froze (because of setup times) but now since sky mall is patched i'd say armadillo is better. also gives way more mining exp and powder.
if you can only play like 3 hours a day i'd recommend doing ruby though. really, it's whatever you find the most enjoyable
@@Implodent I often find that I can merely slide half an hour of skyblock per day unless I dedicate the remainder of that day's conduct to mining (I know, L moment). Thanks for the information, mining man; I will likely explore sapphire mining nonetheless, as It is unprecedented for me, and may be much more enjoyable and refreshing after mining solely ruby.
Also I have a question? Idk if you've mentioned this in another video cos' I have the IQ of a ruby miner but have/could you go more in depth about your movement? I'm not particuarly a mining sweat but just currently grinding to get divan's drill and I'm about 1/11 of the way there with my 126m (I'm using a gauntlet... Cringe...) and I feel like I'm missing out on a couple mil an hour with my movement. Sorry for long comment but just wanna get better and up my cole weight.
i don't have consistent routing, it depends a ton on my skill level at the time (how much i need to energy preserve) i have some general rules of routing i guess i could go over in a future video

Would you theoretically make the most if both spiral and throne spawned next to each other, so you could run over and finish the other route whilst the first in regenning
Even just cycling through one of them fast enough to have even a few seconds downtime before the crystals regen requires really clean movement, having two entire structures for like 30 seconds at most would be excessive, and not really all that helpful
This is what happened in the video they both spawned right next to each other it's incredibly rare tho
@@alkali1460 not really, I have sub par routing and always finish a few seconds before. I think the made up downtime is what pushed it over the line
@@alkali1460 If ur skilled enough ur downtime is very large. For implodent in perfect thorne he has avg 1:30s of downtime
i used two structures in this video, and as i noted in the analysis i actually ran out of veins in the first loop because neither of the structures had all of their veins.
imo i stop doing armadillo mining bc some reasons
1.finding structure take average 2 hrs (once i spend 5hr for one) and even when u find one.someone could be using that.and if no one there someone get here later will steal or bomb too(ppl like to bomb strucutre)
so it actually take 3hrs to find one without ppl bothering
2.chunk loading mostly break the veins when u leave them
3.armaillo sometimes bug and drain more energy is suck
so the point is if u cannot play straightly over 3hrs this method WILL NOT WORK AS WELL

If it takes you 2hrs to find structure, you are better off buying the structure from implodent's discord.
Griefing is a very big problem and that is the only big problem with dillo mining.
I never had the armadillo bug, so cannot comment on it.

You’re able to break blocks with armadillo in most places in the crystal hollows, but we’ve only found it to be efficient in throne and spiral. The method is really only viable when you have access to massive gem clusters that you can just tear through with the dillo, otherwise the extra pristine and mining fortune from ruby mining would outperform it. As such, the only places where it’s worth it to dillo mine are places that have those sorts of gem formations, of which the only ones I know of are spiral, throne, and mines of divan (but the ones in divan are protected from dillo mining)

Vein distance doesn’t really matter because you can etherwarp so quickly, but implodent makes more in throne if I remember correctly because of there being more full blocks and full blocks giving more gemstones
He said that for hyper optimised players spiral is a bit better
for people with insanely high efficiency spiral is definitively better, but for 99.5% of armadillo miners it's down to preference

ikr! the most effort method deserves to be the best. the only thing wrong with it is that it's too easy to get into (no amber reqs and only 2m/2m powder)
@@Implodent indeed but you have to also take into account the structure finding and praying to not get bombed
render your videos at 1440p and the bitrate on youtube's end will be significantly better as it forces use of vp9 instead of avc, even if the source footage is 720p, uploading the 720p footage will be much worse than if you uploaded the same footage to youtube but it was exported at 1440p

personally I will take normal gemstone mining for less money just for the fact that I don't have to scroll and sweat all the time. I can mine and watch a movie or something, which will end with me making more money because I'll stick with it longer.

edit: yes I scroll wheel instead of hockey for hotbar. I've done it for years and can't be bothered to learn. I know it's worse but it ain't changing at this point.
Using keys like f, left alt, and the keys on ur mouse if you have one w extra keys makes is super easy
i mean i can do this method while my brain is turned off, but learning it is pretty hard yeah. also scroll wheeling to a fishing rod sounds fuuuuuuun :D
@@Implodent yeah add learning hotkeys at the same time because there's no way I'm scrolling between warping, fishing rod, and holding the drill with any semblance of efficiency which cranks the rates down anyway.
I have private gem coords where I stand on the same y level for everything so I never have to scroll basically at all. there's one spot where I'll usually aote to the next spot but that's it.

don't run around on it i guess. it'll also take energy if you're mining blocks below you, so try not to do that as much (mine in from the side of the vein) if you're running out

well the real argument would probably be that you are breaking the blocks without using energy, which isn't the intended functionality of the armadillo.
from a balancing perspective, having an easily accessible pet instamine only makes sense if it is limited, hence why it has energy in the first place.
that might not make it an exploit per se but it's a more valid argument than "jealous ig"
hard to be jealous about a method that literally has a lower barrier of entry for pets and powder... anyone can learn Arma mining so that's a bad excuse for an argument.

im making 30m an hour with gemstone gauntlet and if i had divans drill id go from 1583 fortune ( with professional ) to 1953 fortune and 0.2 more pristine and i still havent maxed my hotm tree which would give me another 125 fortune and if i had mining 60 that would be another 32 fortune so in the end thatd be 2110 fortune i think 2113 if i had black belt but i have 300 ping
that would be a 517 mining fortune improvement which is about a 32% increase which means at least 40m an hour
with the pristine i would go from 16 to 16.2 which is a which is a small 1.3% improvement so 40.5m an hour the problem is that i cant find a way to mine even faster

Probably avoiding using the armadillo energy with autopet, it’s not really a bug it’s more like an exploit, but it’s been in the game for so long and they haven’t done anything about it, so at that point I wouldn’t really even consider it an exploit 🤷♂️
