Thank you for the video. Your playthroughs are so clear and easy to follow. What makes your videos a joy is that while you are competitive, you are still incredibly kind to each other.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Jason! We try to practice exactly this in our daily lives so we really appreciate you mentioning this. Thanks again!
So, I made it a little less than halfway through the playthrough before I looked up the game and realized it is only sold at Target right now. Then I looked in my local area and found out there was only one game left. I quickly paused the video, ran out to that store and couldn't find it on the shelf. I then had to find an employee and have them look in the back... I am now the proud owner of the last Trails game in my city!
Completely random, I got this game at Walmart this morning for $9! So happy to see Monique and Naveen have a Watch it Played playthrough! Thanks you two!
Just played Trails for the first time. I won 57 - 50. I had 14 birds and my husband only had 9 so I won the bird trophy, plus I had two badges that gave me +2 if I had the most birds. Always surprising to beat my husband since he wins much more often than me. What fun! Thanks for your teach and play-through. It prompted me to buy the game.
Picked this up for my girlfriend and I a week or so ago. Have to say it’s honestly a great pickup especially for its price. Ever since we dove into the board game rabbit hole, every time we’d get a new game, we wanted it to be bigger, better, and deeper than the last. Eventually though we got a bit burned out on these hour+ long games and looked for more simpler and lighter experiences. At only $20 I’m very surprised at how much game you actually get with Trails in such a small package. I look at something like Azul, which is great game, but I can’t help but feel like it shouldn’t cost as much as it does. Trails costs 30% less, feels fuller and more cohesive, more thematic, and offers more variety in terms of player decisions. Plus you can literally toss the game in your backpack and take it wherever, the box is so small. Trails was everything I want in a lighter game especially given the price, easily one of my favorite additions to our collection this year.
Monique. You know in your bones Nevine is going to pick scissors first every time. I feel like he's setting up for some long game meta far in the future.
Not quite, you only get the top bonus when the sun marker is pointing to it, which was resolved them Naveen got to the end of the trail initially: ruclips.net/video/wGtkfnbBSAs/видео.html Then the sun moves, so the next player won't get that bonus. You can find our full tutorial for how to play Trails here, it will explain this in greater detail: ruclips.net/video/Z3cCbsKDHG8/видео.html
tldr: thanks for the video playthrough! This is a mass market game currently selling for $19.99 here in the US at your local Target store. For me it is a no brainer.....it looks like a fun little 2 player filler game & I am always looking for those to play w/ my wife, who is the very definition of a non gamer :) Yes, it does look like it could play a little samey from game to game but even if we play it a half dozen times it works out to be cheaper than going to a movie nowadays so.... I buy a lot of games & also sell nearly as many, it is more of a hobby to me than anything else & I like a steady stream of new games to explore, therefore I am heading over to the store tomorrow to pick it up!
The order the badges come out and that roaming bear should hopefully give some variety - hope you both have a great time, and thanks for joining us for the playthrough :)
Great video as usual! I enjoyed this game and would play it, I do reckon it's not the most 'balanced' but it seems light enough and quick enough for that not to matter tremendously. I like how it feels similar enough to Parks to warrant being part of the series, yet different enough to be its own thing.
We only have a few games in, but so far we enjoy it. Components are excellent, and it's different enough from Parks to make it a keeper. My only critiques are - the potential for a runaway leader - the badges that reduce resource requirements to earn future badges seem a bit too powerful, especially late in the game
Hi Christopher! Thanks for picking up TRAILS. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the hike. Saw you mention “badges the reduce resource requirements”. We’ve heard others mention this as well. Are you thinking of the Research badge here? That badge comes at a reduced cost depending on other badges you’ve collected and only applies to itself. No other badges are discounted once that’s in play.
@@KeymasterGames Thanks Keymaster team! Yikes, we definitely interpreted those types of badges incorrectly as granting reduced costs on future badges after purchasing the Research badge. It is definitely more balanced on a discount on purchasing the Research badge itself at a discount.
@@WatchItPlayed for example 5:40 while buying second acorn cartography badge (costs 3 acorns + 1 leaf), you already have another leaf cartography badge, so you can pay 3 acorns from tokens + 1 leaf paid from the previous leaf badge you bought... (similar to Splendor mentality, combination of cards & tokens for the payment) but I think this game isn't played like that?

I was reading this comment, hoping it would have a happy ending - so glad it did. Well done :) Hope you have a great time playing Jaayse!
I've been in similar situations with other games glad you got it
"I'm just going to move my resources over on top of the photos..." Said by Monique moments after Naveen tries to take her stone. 🤣
LOL I have to keep an eye on him!
Wise play :)

Great video! I'm been on the fence about this game because we already have Parks. It was helpful to see a playthrough. Thanks!
Thanks so much for checking it out!
So nice to know it was helpful Billy - thanks for joining us for this hike!
Great Game! I've been wanting to get this for a while. Thanks for the play through, looks like a fun tight game!

There's a lot of fun to be found in games of all sizes, right? And nice when you have a game you can easily pack on a quick trip!

LOL, he plans his strategy knowing I always forget he likes to go with scissors
I want to be there when it happens!
Love this crossover!
Thank you!
Really glad you're enjoying this Eric - they're a part of the family of creators here now!
This game is fantastic! I am definitely picking it up when it comes to retail. Thank you for the beautiful play through. ☺️
Hi! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I hope you have a great time playing too Ivaylo!
It is available at Target
Good job on guys, that was fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I got poison ivy from playing this game.
No bear bites though?
Why didn't you count the symbols on badges as resources while buying other badges? During this gameplay you only used tokens for the resources.
I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can help explain - do you have a time stamp?

hi
it seems like another game PARKS ...i don't see a new game but a copyright of another game...
This is a different game by the same designers/publisher team, but that uses some of the same concepts.
