This beautiful song started to be played on the radio at the end of 1988. I was 24 then, with my head full of dreams. The biggest one was to "sail away" to somewhere very far. That dream was soon to turn into reality. Few months later I was living the most exciting experience of my life. I was living in a different country, hundreds of hundreds miles away from home, a place where I had a new home, a new life, a place where I found love, and found myself. Thank you, Life.

This is a lovely song.The previous album "Into the light " was probably his biggest hit as it included "The Lady in Red", but he followed up with an equally good album "Flying Colours" which was every bit as good as Into the light in my opinion.Legendary performer, I actually saw him in concert in 80's I think with my sister and her friend at Alton Towers, legendary.I prefer his early work than much of his post 2000 songs.
