- This is a comparison between the @LogitechG Pro X 2 and the original G Pro X wireless headsets. Here I'm talking about the main differences and the subtle ones you might not be aware of. There have been some nice upgrades and the Logitech G Pro X 2 has now been upgraded with some nifty features to make it even better. So check them out.

My favourite features of the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed are:
- The swappable ear cushions included as standard (choices of comfort or passive noise cancellation)
- A solid headband design that includes pivot and tilt ear cups that can easily fit your head
- Both Bluetooth and wireless connectivity (though sadly not at the same time)
- 3.5mm connections on the headset AND on the wireless dongle, so you can wirelessly mic monitor and external mic or mix in another analogue source
- Good punchy bass and DTS Headphone X 2.0 as well as other satisfying sound profiles
- Logitech Blue Voice mic tech (for customised sound)

The first ones were on sale at Best Buy so I decided to pick them up. I love them.
From what I read, the major advantage of X2 over X (as well as most Arctis, Cloud and so on) headsets is no white noise/hiss in idle and in quiet audio. Hiss/static is a major issue for people who're sensitive to it, and it's very common in wireless headphones. Have you tested for anything like that?
This is genuinely the first I have heard of this.
I can confirm that G pro X 2 has absolutely no hiss.
Generally all the "newer generation" wireless headsets have a noticeable lower noise floor but Logitech was exceptionally quiet compared to others. (Cloud III wireless has some mild hiss but nothing compared to older gen)
the hiss on my X drives me mad when nothing is playing. i tried every wireless headset i could from corsair, razer, hyper x and steelseries. all had hiss. some worse than others. i ended up sticking with the X because i found it to have the best audio and comfort for my needs and the hiss wasnt as bad as some others. but i gave up my quest before the X2 released and i just use airpods when im not gaming. if anybody that has both headsets and can test side by side could confirm that the X2 does not hiss like the X I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Hey, how does the Pro X 2 compare to the Nova Pro Wireless in audio quality? Mic seems to be slightly worse but if the sound is much better I can live with that.
I have the g pro x wired is it better than the wired version? I hope they release a wired one with less weight

No, you can't steal the pro x 2 from the store and use it with the old dongle 😂😂
Not bothered by the mic, i have my own so mic its not an issue but everything else seems absolutely amazing

The X Lightspeed seemed to have some odd clicking when you were speaking - have you noticed this? Does this happen often?
is there any difference in how far the headset can be from the dongle while still being connected?
Something ive heard nobody mention is the pressure the Logitech G Pro X wireless applies on top of the head , im wondering if the new ones does the same ?
So normally the X2 at best it is 259 and the Z is 239. Right now the X model is on sale for 130. Do you think it’s worth it to spend twice as much to get the X2? Or just get the original
Probably not. I have the originals. The included mic isn't amazing but it works. I've had 0 issues with the sound quality or the headset itself and I've had mine for over a year
@@smoothestofbrains I ended up with the original ones. Like you said I wish the mic was a little better. It doesn’t always stay where you put it, but overall they have been a great headset. Esp for 130 dollars.

Please, would you advise which one for FPS games specifically? I saw some posts complaining about the GPX2 for hearing footsteps, I'm specifically looking for a wireless headset for FPS.

Can you please try plugging in the detachable microphone from the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) into this Logitech one, to see if its compatible and improves mic quality? Razer offers the mic as 20$ replacement part..
Curious question. I'll have a look but I doubt it. The notches where they attach to the headset are different.

With them no longer providing replacement part for the Logitech G Pro X Wireless, it should've been a $90 headset....Not $150 or even $200 headset...

Are the hinges any stronger? Went through 2 of the original due to the hinges just snapping off from normal use and I have no clue whether the new build is trustable.
What hinges? The first version has no hinges.
Next time when you buy them brand new or put them back together with zip tie’s..when mines almost snaped, i used zip ties from walmart and they were alot stronger then before lmao..
So I bought the X 2 because my Headset is dying and I wanted to see what close to 300€ gets me. While it feels great and the sound being very good, the microphone is a bit of a let down. I am going to get a cheaper one instead. However, it's quite sad that the original does not offer Bluetooth, sadly a K.O. criteria for me. Which is a shame as I just saw an offer of around 110€, which is a great deal.
That said, I might try to keep going with my old headset for a little longer and wait for some christmas sale on the X2. If I'm lucky and it goes down to 200 I might consider it worth the price tag.
Edit: Tested MMX200 which sadly hurts my ears over time. Went with the Razer Blackshark V2 as it's way more user friendly and has almost as good sound as the X2.

Not using Bluetooth and wireless simultaneously is actually better for those whose main focus is gaming. Why would it be running both? If I connected it to my phone, I don't want it ringing in my ear while gaming. I am not sure why most RUclipsrs who reviewed it highlighted this point as negative one?
Because it's a nice feature, especially for ps5 users so they can mix discord from their phones into theb headset. As a PC user, this is still something I absolutely must have if I'm going wireless.
I have an issue with the X2 Lightspeed when im in discord or ts my friends can hear every sound twice. Because the mic is recording the sound what comes out of the headset. I tried everything in g hub but nothing works. Has someone the same issue ? If anyone have an solution for this problem pls help me.

How does this headset compare to the VIRTUOSO RGB WIRELESS XT?
I was have the Logitech g pro x and swapped it to the Corsair virtuoso rgb I can tell with 100% sure that the Logitech is more comfort and has the best sound quality for gaming but no rgb and the virtuoso is better looking , now I'm thinking to upgrade to the new g pro x2
@@YA-xw3cs i have also x1 , and wondering if there will be significant difference in sound quality between the 2 , because im allready overwhelmed by the x1 , sound quality is amazing in games like bf2042 bf5.
Hopefully the new version isnt as fragile as the original (over 4 of them have snapped on me due to them using cheap plastic)

I just used my adult money to buy the newer model headset. either way, the duct tape made it feel the same as before, but the battery in it has gone bad which is why I bought the new one.

I just pick this headset for ps5, i have another headset for ps5 inzone h9 , but this logitech is amazing on sound, now compared with inzone h9 the inzone sounds a bit chopy...
Can come one confirm if you can save eq settings to use on ps5?
that's tied to G Hub, no onboard memory for EQ presets. I know you probably already know it, but it might help someone.

I went to the store. I tried em out. Turns out i have a really fat head. I was so f***ing dissapointed, ruined my day.

The original G Pro X hinge is terrible, those little screws (2 each side) which hold the whole thing together can easily break (plastic threads).
I can't recommend those, hope the new ones are built better.
Happened to me about a month ago. They probably wont repair it so now I'm trying to see if the X2 is worth the money :D
