Mr. Smith is a sweet addict--too funny. I also appreciate that he is so very suited to his profession. He loves teaching and helping those boys grow into good young men.
If you don't like marshmallows, it's quite usual to put pecans and brown sugar on top of the sweet potato casserole. Their pies look like tarts, not American pies.
Jolly just had their first Thanksgiving meal in the UK at that American restaurant in London or wherever it was. The owner (American guy) is the same guy who baked all those pies for Jolly in a previous video and he made that Frito pie for Jolly as well.
That kid who disliked everything was mildly annoying. 😅 He makes Aidan look like an adventurous eater! 😂 Hope you guys have a great weekend! Love from Florida. 🥰
The Thanksgiving after sandwich with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and a bit of mayo is just excellent. Another very satisfying leftover turkey is to put loads of butter in a pan and fry it. I promise that you won't be disappointed.
Just for the record, not every Anerican puts marshmallows on a sweet potato casserole. That seemed to gain popularity in the 60s. My mother, as well as myself make a pecan crumble to top the sweet potato casserole. You can even just put a little butter on top. Marshmallows make it too sweet! There are homes all over America where sweet potato casserole is NOT topped with marshmallows!
When it comes to sweet potato casserole, most, especially in the south black families do sweet potato, while most people in the north they do pumpkin. But even though I live in New York, we do, my family does sweet potato or candy yams,
That pecan pie doesn't look quite right. Usually there are whole nuts on top but the filling is more creamy and sweet. That looked like whole nuts all the way to the bottom.
There's always one child who doesn't like anything he's served, isn't there? He should know that he's lucky to have festive food on this special day of the year. There will not always be someone to bring you something wonderful to eat. I made do with a quarter pounder for my Thanksgiving dinner.
I grew up on it. We just called it turkey left over sandwich cuz my Mom wasn't about to cook the next day and bread was one thing we always had on hand❤
@@smallsparry Leftover turkey sandwiches are one thing but dumping mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and all that other crap on it is not a common deal.
Happy holidays from Northern California 🦃 My family doesn’t have green beans at all, we have collard greens or mustard greens, and also southern fried cabbage. We’re also a bit weird we don’t have mashed potatoes but potato salad. That is really specific to my family because my mom was famous for her potato salad, it is served with almost every big family meal. We also have sweet potato pie as one of many desserts and candied yams (which are actually candied sweet potato) as a side dish. This year we’ve opted for a smaller non traditional meal, since I’m in the middle of moving house. I’m just making a meatloaf, cabbage, cornbread and black eyed peas. Next year we are planning to travel, and maybe do a theme park with some family members.
The black families i know in SC, have seeet potato pie instead of pumpkin pie. Corn bread dressing and collard green and regular steamed green beans seasoned with smoked meet, mac & cheese, turkey (fried, baked, grilled), fried chicken, yams, etc... Green bean casserole isn't much of an original black people food dish but more black people i know are making it now.
Happy Thanksgiving to you lovely Brits!! I just watched this video at 2:30pm (1430) before heading to my brother's house for dinner. Haven't eaten all day to save room. LOL
HAPPY THANKSGIVING enjoy your Family and your meal. Ours was so good. My Husband made an epic dinner for us 2. It's just him and I. I'm disabled and really miss cooking. The turkey was so moist and delicious. Love From Michigan ❤❤ we're under a winter storm warning

I don't know who came up with that sandwich or who eats it but yuck. Just give me turkey, a slice of cheese with some Miracle Whip. Perfect sandwich. Only time I eat turkey sandwiches is Thanksgiving and Christmas. I detest cranberry sauce.
Absolutely love how humble and polite are. Love watching your channel.
My family makes regular green beans for Thanksgiving. Each family Thanksgiving meal is very diverse.

Canada has thanksgiving, too, very much like US thanksgiving, but ours is always on a Monday in October.
I know! I celebrated there too 😊 love a turkey dinner I do 😂
Hey, I'm in Kentucky. Crazy to know you were so close this time last year. Happy Thanksgiving from the bluegrass state my British friends!
I never make sweet potatoes with marshmallows... definitely a pecan topping 😊... and never had a sandwich like that 😮
I always love the reaction to pumpkin pie split into halves among one of the pairs. Also Jolly dropped a new one.
I love sweet potato casserole and candied yams. You don't put gravy on it, who would do that?
We usually put a pecan topping on the sweet potato casserole. But I'm confused. Why would anyone pour gravy on sweet potatoes. No one does that

To be fair we don't put gravy on everything on the plate mainly just the turkey, stuffing and potatoes

And some who do use marshmallows, use a tenth of the amount used there. A sprinkling here and there, not covered an inch thick.😊

They really need to try a proper roast turkey with gravy mashed potato and all the other fixings. Still good vid.
Some people may have ham instead of turkey on Thanksgiving.

I’ve never known anyone that crammed a bunch of leftovers into a sandwich.
It's just something that happened in a show, and now people think it's real 😂
A chain around here in Boston (D'Angelos) has one year-round, complete with gravy on the side. It's rad.
I grew up on it. We just called it turkey left over sandwich cuz my Mom wasn't about to cook the next day and bread was one thing we always had on hand❤

Are u crazy???? Literally everyone i know eats turkey sandwiches the next day...
I’m surprised they didn’t give them some stuffing, green bean casserole, etc

Interstate 95 is a Parking Lot for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

i liked sweet potato casserole with butter, brown sugar, coconut shavings, and pecans on top. its the best.
Happy Thanksgiving from America

Not American but us Canadians also celebrate thanksgiving but ours is in October
Not all Americans like sweet potato casserole.
that scotland stuff ended up being a scam
Your Giants are in a close game right now at half time
Cheers all!
I'm an American dude and can't stand green bean casserole. I love long steamed green beans with garlic. Not over steamed, mushy beans are no bueno.
Happy Thanksgiving all
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Also sweet potato casserole is absolutely a dessert
back in the day nuts were cheap, now they are sooo expensive
You guys already reacted to this video last year lol.
I’ve never seen marshmallow on sweet potato casserole. We have it with brown sugar and pecans.
I've seen both. I prefer pecans, but the kids prefer marshmallows, too bad I make all the food 😂
Never been to Boston Market??
I much prefer a sweet potato pie made by East Coast black people. (Not over chopped to where it has the same texture and taste as pumpkin)
British tastebuds can't handle flavor!
4th of july isnt a horrible guess tbh
American here and I really don't like sweet potatoes and i can take or leave marshmallows, so the casserole is a hard pass for me.
You high? Wyd with gravy 😂😭 you boys need some American telling you what we actually do. Yall triggered most of the US 😂
