I agree. At the end of the day, we are the Professional Drivers, and as such we are expected to anticipate the moronic nature of some road users. I take pride in being able to pre-emptively 'call' bad moves from road users, and taking apprpriate actions to avoid a nasty outcome. I get paid by the mile, so getting myself involved in incidents, just coz I'm right, is not a cost effective way of driving.
I really liked the driving school teacher giving the finger haha.

@@janhofmann Jag skulle inte vilja påstå att trafiken är en lek och det gäller även hur handledaren agerar. En vacker dag pekas det finger åt fel person och då kan allt hända.
Som handledare måste man visa lite bättre attityd än att peka finger åt folk.
@@anestisantoniou5326 Att skita i blinkers är ett stort "fuck you" åt alla andra trafikanter. Då får man tåla ett "fuck you too" tillbaka. Kan man inte det utan att ta till våld ska man avlägsnas från trafiken och helst från samhället. Det är sådana som du som backar för antisociala rövhål som gör att de flyttar fram mer och mer. Civilkurage måste börja någonstans.
That guy from 1:24 to 4:41 gave me a headache. Sure, in none of the clips the wrongdoing was their mistake but the absolute total lack of proactive driving is off the charts. You can see the danger from miles away but the driver does absolutely nothing and rather stands on the brake pedal at the absolute last moment. Almost every situation would have been made into a no brainer if he had slowed down early but nope, flashing lights, horn and emergency braking it is.
Male, age 20-30. If you drive a motorcycle like this, you are dead within 2 years.
I agree he could've reacted more proactive but, at some point you just had enough. Let's just assume it was one of those days and not blame the truck driver for the full 100%. I'd say a 80-20 split is fair here.
Yeah, same here. I kinda understand the need to really prove a point, show that someone else is wrong, and try to punish people for their mistakes (especially when they are due to absolute disregard to other traffic). However, such behaviour does not belong on the road, especially if you are a "professional" driver, or you are driving a heavy vehicle. Large ego can end up being lethal. Sure, the truck driver is likely not suffering any major injuries, but a passanger of a car or a bus will.
The drivers should be notified for their behaviour. It would be nice if the police had a channel where you could report serious incident (with licence plate number and video evidence), and if the police gets multiple reports for the same vehicle (say 3 or more reports a year), they could review the videos and decide on further action (give warning, suspend licence, sieze car). Unfortunatelly this kinda channel doesn't exist as far as I can tell.
For the bus incident it should be quite easy. The date and time is known, the licence plate of the bus is clearly visible and the number of the bus and the line are clearly visible. This is more than enough information for the bus company to identify the driver, and give them a warning. You will likely not get to know if any real action has been taken, but it's in the best interest of the bus company to get rid of drivers who get complaints (with video evidence) often.
Accidents rarely happen just because one party made one mistake. Good drivers fix other drivers mistakes, and report the reckless ones to the police.

@@thelanittaja4765 Nicely put and you are right. I have been a courier for a year and a half and caught myself on that behaviour. Your piece made me think I could've solved situations better and with less risk. Luckily it all went off without a hitch.
Recently I read a quote that seems fitting here too.

kind of specific and maybe not quite about what we are talking about in this instance, but I think it is too good to not share.
Yeah especially the 4:41. The cammer should know as he himself is driving a big truck that a bus just can't turn everywhere. I think he was backing into some small property at the end of that road.
So he had no other option to reverse there from the main road. As it would be more dangerous to back into the main road from that side path.
That guy changing the speed signs must just want to watch the world burn...but I have to respect their style

Ser ingen skylt för väjningsplikt och det borde vara högerregel i korsningen. Det betyder att det finns krav på särskild försiktighet och att lastbilen har väjningsplikt. Verkar som att lastbilen missade båda dessa.
Kan vara huvudled eller utfartsregel där, och isf åsidosätts högerregeln.
@@SonsOfLorgar Syns som sagt ingen skylt för väjningsplikt. Finns inte heller någon ny skylt för huvudled i mötande riktning innan korsningen, så kameran kör inte på huvudled. Korsningens utformning ser ut som en gata in mellan hus. Inget som antyder att det är en utfart från tex parkering eller tomt.
Solklar högerregelkorsning...Gällande hastighet är nog 50 km/t där (tätbebyggt område) så lastbilen kör alldeles för fort och det är stor risk för att te x barn kan komma ut både från korsande vägar och busksge.
@@OctaviaRSDashcamStockholm Apterarvägen och Stämplarvägen i Uppsala. Inga huvudled eller utfart, 70-väg. Lastbilen har väjningsplikt och verkar också missa särskild försiktighet.
@@korvid Det var precis det jag skrev så det kom en liten repris på min text med den skillnaden att 50 km/t blev 70 km/t.

Seems like some of these truckers don’t brake until the last second, maybe trying to intimidate the drivers that slowed them down. I understand their frustration but we all have to share the road.
while that is true sometimes drivers need a realitycheck on how close they´ve come to cause an accident...
Ye can be true in some cases, but when you watch the video from the dashcam it's much easier to spot a slow car or hindrance. So the late braking can just be slow response etc.
More like expecting the driver ahead to start accellerating like a normal person, realizing too late that they need to brake rather than just coast.
They are just trying to maintain momentum. A truck burns a ton of diesel when accelerating.
I feel the trucker in this video is very aggressive and very unwilling to break. In many of these situations there is real danger but he just powers trough, only braking hard the very last moment when he is absolutely forced to. You can hear him swearing for 3 seconds before he starts braking at all, so it's not him not paying attention. Braking does not start with pressing the pedal - braking starts with being mentally willing to brake. Other drivers doing random things is part of life on the road. Relax, take a breath, roll off the gas, hold back and just go with it. Your shoulder will be lower and your driving will be safer. Greetings from norwegian bus driver.

A lot of those traffic clips had me shaking my head. But the clip of the snowy drive in Norway was wonderful. Snow is always beautiful, especially when you don't have to actually be out in it! Yep, being a Southern Californian has spoiled me, weather-wise.

@Bee Whistler Rain! Oh goodness, rain. I live in the desert so I'm lucky to see at least a drizzle two or three times a year. Now that I miss! With snow, however, I have problems with the chilly temperatures and ice it brings if it hangs around too long.

The headline caught my attention and reminded me of an episode in Denmark a few years back. A school bus was driving on a small country road and the kids were running around screaming and shouting despite of the driver repeating again and again that they should stay in their seats, not only because of regulations, but also because it would be dangerous for them if he suddenly had to brake.
The kids continued to ignore him completely, so finally he had enough and decided to give them a demonstration of him braking while they were running around, so he slammed the brakes...
Unfortunately he hadn't noticed a semi truck on the road right behind the bus, the truck slammed into the back of the bus, completely obliterating the rear end, but miraculously nobody was seriously hurt despite of both vehicles getting wrecked beyond repair.

Hmmmm, I am learning so much from this channel. special words, colorful phrases and word modifiers are usually the first to be assimilated when learning another language....none of that junk here but it could be.... I hear the frustrations in the drivers voices but the algorithms keep the good stuff out of the channel .🤣🤣

Just indicate on a roundabout, it is not that hard. And I don't understand, if they themselves would be kept waiting for nothing they would probably hate it too. But some people just lose the ability to think when they close the door of their car 😮💨

Fun to watch on youtube what I see everyday in my job. Driving all over Sweden and aproximately 70000 km a year. Sooo many people that shouldn't have a drivers license. 🤣 Also fun that some clips were from Rimbo near where I live.
I drive fast but plan ahead... Maybe thats why I haven' seen my driving in any vids yet 🤣 I don't drive a truck tho. I'll keep an eye out for Pikachu while on the roads 😁

Det är blandade insändare. Men, allt är ju under en längre tid.
De flesta lär nog ha svurit ett par gånger under sina senaste 5000 mil eller liknande. Nu blir det bara komprimerat ner till ett par minuter.

Some people have zero consideration for anybody else , they are willing to risk their life just so that they can be first and by doing so the endanger the life of others.
Isn't it excessively deep ditches they have in Norway? But of course with the amount of rain they have every year coming from Atlantic Ocean, it's somehow understandably! Haha! And yes! Take a world tour in your Volvo to make videos of *all* mountain roads and show us! Then you will have both relaxing or horrifying videos to show for rest of your life and some generations after! ;D [Kommer troligtvis iaf bli bättre betalt än Försäkringskassan?! :] Ps. Go to the mountains in Japan also and visit Pikachu's family. They may have heard from him?! Or have a sibling willing to follow you around rest of the World.

5:55 with the speed camera. The sign says 30. Paus and look for yourself. Probably because of the crossing at the camera ahead. I am not so sure about the supposed overpaint.

@@truckdriver1982 The curvature on the number 3 vs 8. The circle inside a 3 is round and in an 8 they are somewhat oval. I´m not saying I am 100% certain but I believe it is a new speedlimit before the camera and after the intersection there is a new 80 sign. I guess you drive by there all the time so you would know in that case.
always try to find places on google maps usually when there is a sign like 5:06
Den utanför Götene är ett kul litet spratt! Tydligen satte någon upp 120 skylt bredvid skolan och satte 30 skylten där du körde 😂
Jag blev rätt gött irriterad då båda bilarna körde om mig precis efter sil rondellen, och sen tvärnitar vid kameran, reagerade inte på att de satt en 30 skylt där, och en normal person borde förstått att den inte stämmer 😂

@@akebengtsson1223 så du menar att om det är någon som tycker det är kul med ett spratt å sätta en 120 skylt vid en skola så måste man följa den? Samma som att någon gör ett spratt å sätter en 30 skylt på en fullt trafikerad 80 väg ska man tvärnita och följa den, jag hade då aldrig kört i 120 förbi en skola även om de satt en 120 skylt där.
Sen om jag inte minns helt fel från när man tog både A/B och CE så får hastigheten inte gå från 80-30 utan antingen en hastighets sänkning till 70 eller 50 innan, eller varnings skyltar om att hastigheten ändras inom ett visst antal hundra meter, och det fanns inte på platsen,
@@Etrisoom Du verkar inte förstå hur hastighetsBEGRÄNSNINGAR fungerar. Du måste inte köra 120 vid en 120 skylt. Du får max köra 120.
@@akebengtsson1223 klart jag förstår en hastighets begränsning, men en hastighets begränsning gäller om den sitter upp under rätt omständigheter, vilket inte den här gjorde, då den satt där utan en tidigare sänkning så var den alltså inte giltig,
Jag kan inte sätta upp en 30 skylt på en 80 väg och få den giltig, samma visa vid den som satt utanför Götene.
Hade vart väldigt spännande om alla kan springa runt å sätta upp egna skyltar för att man vill

The speed is calculated by GPS and will always lag behind a bit.
I always show my "indicate"-finger when drivers dont indicate out of the roundabout.

6:16 Viktigt att komma ihåg att vid hastighetsändring så står skyltarna på båda sidorna. Finns en kamera utanför Värnamo där det först visar 70km/h+kamera, fast först bara på höger sida. Det betyder att hastighetsbegränsningen har inte ändrats än. Dock så siter det ingen kamera-skylt vid 70-skyltarna som kommer 200 meter senare.

Whether or not the bus should've waited (here the buses have priority in these situations within reason) intimidating a bus full of innocent passengers with a 50 ton truck is neither brave nor clever, and in the UK you certainly wouldn't want to advertise that you did that if you want to keep your licence. Similar with that truck pulling out where he has limited visibility and you're on a road that is 50kmh literally so you have time to react to things like this - but which you decide to be an aggressive dick instead. Ease off the gas, and drive like you're not the only person who's allowed on the road, and remember that you make mistakes, and possibly wouldn't be alive if others were as intolerant as you.

Stämmer de att det är ett bra riktmärke att tidigast byta till baka till högerfilen när man ser strålkastare i backspegeln gällande omkörning av lastbil?
De är lite svårt att säga så...beror på så mycket annat. Hastighet väg, backspeglar med och sånt....antar jag :)

@@ceciliaaberggren Ett bra riktmärke är att byta tllbaka till höger körfält när man ser hela fordonet man kört om i innerbackspegeln.Nu pratar jag ju såklart om omkörning på motorväg där farten är högre..På landsväg gäller nästan samma sak men det beror på vägen,omgivning,mötande fordon etc.
