    We're staying in Sarnes.
    We went up to Nordkapp.
    I found most drivers good. Particularly on the icy roads.
    But some drivers coming the other direction almost ran us off the road because they were going too fast & taking up too much road.

    That merging at 4:55 is pure cancer. I'm driving through almost daily and had many close calls. If you don't force yourself into the left lane, usually no one let you merge and you end up blocking the right lane and pissing off everyone behind you. I think there should be vertical sign showing zipping traffic or something.

      Vet inte om det blev någon konstig översättning där, men det är absolut inte högerregeln som gäller där.
      Det är en utfart och då har man alltid väjningsplikt. Högerregeln är den sista som "styr" en korsning.
      Jag kan inte tänka mig att Norge skulle ha ett annat upplägg.

      @@truckdriver1982 Det er ikke en utkjørsel fra parkering, selv om det kan se slik ut. Det er ingen kantstein der, og det er skilt med gatenavn, det indikerer at det er en vei, og det ser ut som om den fortsetter til høyre ved huset. Dårlig design.

      @ChristopherBerge-tw4nk 10 месяцев назад

      @JonRogne er det Mercedesen eller Jaguaren du referer til? Mercen har vikeplikt trekanter i veien og Jaguaren kommer ut fra en tomt (i en 60 sone eller mer (som kan sees på gulstripen)) begge tilfellene har fører av tungt kjøretøy med dashcam forkjørsrett...

      @@truckdriver1982 Enhver bilist må anpasse farten etter forholdene, og det betyr iblant at tyngre kjøretøyer må kjøre litt saktere for å ta forbehold for eventualiteter Trafikkreglene er litt ulike i Norge og Sverige. . I visse deler av Norge er dessverre de lokale bilistene på småveiene med fartsgrense under 60 alt for konsekvent på høyreregelen, og de lokale kjenner hver vei de må stoppe for - uansett om det er grus eller asfalt. Typiske eksempler er småveier i deler av Agder, og Lillehammerområdet. Derfor blir det ofte krasj av dette, som når Oslofolk kjører i sidegatene i Lillehammer by. Så har vi 2 veiskilt som ser nesten likedan ut, og lett kan forveksles (om det ikke er maling i veibanen) - Et veiskilt med et eget veinavn, som "Sideveien", her har du vikeplikt til høyre. Men så har vi et skilt med husnumre (som 211-233) og iblant en malt pil i enden, og da har du normalt ikke vikeplikt om ikke skilt eller maling i veibanen forteller deg noe annet . . , for det er en avkjørsel. Det skal ikke være lett, og jeg er fullstendige klar over at stort vogntog har lengre bremsestrekning (jeg tok førerkortet for stort vogntog og buss, da du gikk i barneskolen - 1991). Men husk du må uansett ikke kjøre fortere enn at du kan stoppe med det kjøretøyet du fører, som nå om våren når det er mange unghjort som krysser veiene - de kan ikke trafikkreglene. Kjører du på en hjort så blir du tidsforsinket mens du varsler viltnemda/politiet, og skaden av din bil går på din forsikring.

    Beautiful nature, but many Norwegian roads are way to small and in bad condition. Imagine how many lives that could be saved and how much easier transport would be if we had a proper highway network with 4 lanes and speed a limit of 130 km/t between the 4 biggest cities and Tromsø. A 2 lane railroad system should also been in place on the same routes.
