It's probably a lot of different reasons for behavior like red car idiot; but I wonder if some of them are simply ignorant of the physics involved in heavy trucking. They get mad because they can't make you spill your coffee. No accounting for stupid, is the short version.
I'm so fed up with the ridiculous driving here in the UK. A Mercedes found this out the hard way last year, they pulled out in front of me on a 60mph road and left me nowhere to go but into the back of them. They then tried to blame me for the crash but dashcam cleared that lie up and their insurers admitted full liability. I could have gone off road and damaged my car but then they aren't going to be stopping to apologise for causing an accident so I ended up driving into them. A person was killed on that same junction a few weeks later when an old man in a Volvo pulled out in front of a loaded 45T HGV which makes 40 fatalities on that road in the last few years. There are signs everywhere reminding drivers of the deaths but people just don't seem to care at all.
With that many deaths the fault has to be at least partially with the road design. And of course the government thinks putting up a sign will somehow fix it.
@@Peter_Riis_DK Normal junctions don't have that many deaths. So either that junction sees an abnormal amount of dumbasses for some reason or the junction is partially to blame.

It seems the red car's plates no longer exist in the Swedish Vehicle Registry for whatever reason. Tried to see if my suspicions were correct, but I have no answer.
Agreed - most of the events shown are the result of a singular stupid mistake, but this one was doing it on purpose for a while. Big difference. Causing danger on the roadway for any reason is not okay, but doing it on purpose is another level!
@@roevskagg For some reason, personalised plates do not show up in searches (e.g., biluppgifter); I am not sure why but they seem to be an "alias" that points to the car's actual plate instead of a completely new plate.
0:40 I drive that road all the time and probably 80% of drivers do the exact same middle lane driving at those two ramps (and all similar ramps around Gothenburg) and it's incredibly frustrating. It's often less traffic in the right lane than the leftmost lane because of these idiots so I always end up zooming past them on the right. Not sure what the police would say but it is what it is. Have thought about putting up a sign in the back window "keep to the right you idiots" but I doubt the effectiveness of it.
My grandfather told me about a horse he owned, who would go to great lengths to be first, if another horse was on the road. Otherwise plodded along. Many drivers are the same.
And why did it crumbe like that 😅 Here the roof needs to be higher than trucks so there is no potential of hitting it and the pillars and the diesel pumps are secured with steel bollards that can easily stop a slow moving truck before it hits the pump or a roof support pillar.
I must admit, at first glance, the title had me skeptical. But as I delved into the video, I found myself pleasantly surprised. People like the person in the red car have no idea what is is to drive a truck, or to find a little car in front of one driving like that... When you get your drivers license, a day in a truck should be mandatory.
"What causes this behavior" ego. It's his world, we're just allowed to exist in it as long as we acknowledge that he's the best/smartest out there. By flashing your lights at him you implied that he's not the perfect driver he knows he is so he has to punish you for it.

Come on man, it's Sweden. Swedish folks get on the highway and move over to the middle lane right away. Even if they're below the speed limit. In other countries you'd get a hefty fine but not here in Sweden.

The intersection in the first clip have been a major delay point when I drove the local buses in that area in 2019. it is even been shown in one of my own videos when I waited for about 5 mins before I was able to enter the road safely. It is now remodeled with a roundabout to make things safer. :)
I watch many channels showing idiots in cars….. I know HGV Drivers are not infallible….. But lets be happy that the REAL idiots seem to be found in passengercars only….

I know that you are in Sweden, but the middle lane travelers that won't let you pass in any lane are common here in the US. I have found, after thousands of interstate highway traveling, that the far majority of these people have their vehicles registered (licensed) in Pennsylvania, USA. They are also known for what I call the "Philly fade". Philadelphia, PA is known as "Philly" by slang term. A Philly fade is when you are in the extreme left lane and you have plenty of time to get in the right lane to make an exit miles ahead, but wait to the last minute and then cut off two lanes of traffic (the middle and right lane) in order to make your exit in time. When the drivers in the middle and right lane blow their horn, they are usually greeted with the middle finger of the offending driver. In order to qualify as a Philly fade, no turn signals may be used, the driver must give the drivers he cut off the finger, and he must cut off at least two other lanes of traffic. Drivers over here also like to merge into a highway going as slow as possible. I'll never understand why. When I merge, I'm going the speed limit or slightly above and merge seamlessly. Some people like to cause strife wherever they go.
@ 0:30 IMHO I have the following to consider: The driver needs all his concentration to survive the overtaking process without an accident. The truck driver's warning comes too late because the process is already running and can no longer be sustained. Disrupting the driver from his concentration and/or frightening him with the loud signal can have fatal consequences for everyone involved.
I think I figured out what's going on with the "angry red car". His license plate is an anagram of tardi, I know it's supposed to be spelled with y instead of I but it's close enough.
People who start fights on the road probably feel like they have no control in their own life. When in a car, they feel they can challenge other cars. We’re all just vehicles to them.

Driving bus for almost 15 years I've seen the same things. During rush hour, low speed and heavy traffic the sixth sense kicked in more than once. A passenger commented the acting noticing it. "It helps" was the comment. Driving in the middle lane is a common bad behaviour. One guy in car, pulling a light trailer, drove like that..... He was more slow then the heavy trucks.... Some drivers sits behind the wheel but acts like being a passenger... Sorry for not watching the entire video. It's too sad to see all bad....
Rhetorical questions around the 2' mark: many people drive according to how they were treated as children (I would say nowadays most). The cage gives the downtrodden driver a feeling of both power and safety plus anonymity. 'Nuff said.

When ever you come across a lost soul avoid (Never) drive up their rear end, never aggressively change lanes back and forth, never flash your stupid bright lights and never, never blare your useless, stupid, annoying and irritating 'horn' ! Just back off and let things go and after a minute, readjust your speed and things will always go smoothly. Confrontation will nearly always result in retaliation. ... and the majority of cammers can't understand their own behavior and always blame those who react to their stupidity.
I drive a Iot in Sweden including a lot of the same roads in the video and they are generally good drivers but there is a lot of dangerous overtaking and tailgating and that includes trucks

It is a garbage truck with a lot of weight at the rear. Doing sudden stuff with a heavy vehicle can have big consequences. And also, the road was pretty icy

When ever you come across a lost soul avoid (Never) drive up their rear end, never aggressively change lanes back and forth, never flash your stupid bright lights and never, never blare your useless, stupid, annoying and irritating 'horn' ! Just back off and let things go and after a minute, readjust your speed and things will always go smoothly. Confrontation will nearly always result in retaliation. ... and the majority of cammers can't understand their own behavior and always blame those who react to their stupidity.

I drive a Iot in Sweden including a lot of the same roads in the video and they are generally good drivers but there is a lot of dangerous overtaking and tailgating and that includes trucks
