How To: Firework Photography

  • In my first short, I share some quick tips on firework photography. With 4th of July, Independence Day, coming up soon, I hope that this is helpful. Let me know if you successfully put any of this to practice.

    What Canon and tripod did you use?

      For the images in the video they were shot on the 40D, but any SLR or mirrorless with a bulb mode will work. These were actually shot with the camera on a large rock, but I usually use a mid range Bogen/Manfrotto tripod.

    Are this picture take with the r5 or its really 40d?

      Hi Manny, thanks for asking. These were taken with the 40D, well before I had the R5. Just proves you don't need the newest gear for thus type of photography.

      Ha ha, I still own a 40D but hardly using it. It’s a great camera. I may try it out next time.
