Thank you Joe. I truly enjoy your videos. A year and a half ago, I started out with my first Nikon, a Z50. Since then a 6ii and most recently a 7ii. I cannot thank you enough for all I’ve learned by viewing your video’s. There have been other RUclips channels that have helped me advance during this time frame as well, but your demeanor and soft tone is greatly appreciated. What a gentleman! Looking forward to more tips in the future. Thanks again.
Hello Joseph..Meena here from Bangalore India. Looking forward to these settings for the upcoming festival of lights Diwali. Hope I get some awesome photos! Thank you for the video.
Joe- Thanks for the great info. My family and I will be heading out tomorrow for our local fireworks show and I can't wait to put into practice the things you have shared. Looking forward to some great pics.
I only got my Z5 back in April, so last night was my first attempt at getting fireworks. Thank you for the advice, I got some great shots, though I need to work on my timing.
Thank you for the tips! I will try to take some fireworks shots tomorrow. I only have 50mm and 85mm prime lenses, but I am pretty far away on the hill. Probably will use portraite orientation to get the height of the fireworks. Will have to use 2s delay timer and 4 shots in the row to minimize the shake and optimize the amount of shots. The landscape is just dark fields and a small area of ppl gathering by the bonfire.
Thank you for the informative video!! I have a question I have the opportunity to be in the pit with the firework technicians. Would that be a good place to photograph from or would I be better off at a distance? I'm torn and don't wanna miss some great shots being in a small town we only get fireworks a few times a year.
The info in this video is explosive!
Boom 💥

Hello Joseph! What settings do you recommend for fire show dance?

Thank you very much. Great info. One question, do you use electronic shutter or mechanic shutter?
Mechanical - never use electronic.
Thank you Joe. What white balance setting would you use please?
I use auto for these.
@@ShutterSpeak Thanks!
Thanks Joe,
Never considered photographing fireworks but now will be confident if I do.
Lots of great tips explained well :)
Be sure to send a comment if you get some great shots!
@@ShutterSpeak will do :)
I am going to try my Nikon D40
Sounds great - loved that camera when i had it.
I have a Nikon D7500. You didn't mention anything about deactivating the flash. Also, I was a little confused about how you set your focus.
Definitely do not use flash...
hi, does this work the same with shooting videos?
Do I need to set white balance ?
How do I set a 4 second shutter release with Z6ii?
Aperture priority mode or manual
Apparently you use Auto white balance? You didn’t mention where it should be set.
Great point. I shoot in raw and I can alter it in post so yes, I use auto. I also think it works really, really well.
