    Fun fact about the Banksia flower - they were named after the botanist Joseph Banks who sailed with Captain James Cook who was the one of the first British people to travel to Australian shores and report his findings of the land, flora and fauna of the Australian mainland to British authorities and scientific communities in Britain. The banksia flourishes in many areas of Australia today and we sometimes refer to this flower as a "bottle brush" as it resembles the cleaning tool used on old fashioned bottles at the time.

    Hi Laura, in your cutout in Part 1, there is a bird (I think) in the same spot as the squirrel but on the left. It seems to be missing from your stitching. I say it again - thanks for all the work you are doing with researching the info. It is appreciated.

    Oh Laura, I am loving the educational bits you are giving with each section of the Sal. I haven’t started yet, but I’m saving your videos to rewatch as I go. I’m going to gift the finished piece to my great niece, who has just graduated with her teaching degree, focused on Mathematics and Sciences. I’ll list the names of each creature and a few details separately for her.
    Thank you so much for your encouragement.

    Yay, lemur time! That was the corner that really caught my eye in this pattern, glad its not the last part for us. Last time i thought the portion seemed large, but really i finished it a few weeks in, so its been easy to keep up.

    I finally got my pattern, threads and fabric finally on 28th of May 💃It only took two months! Normally it takes two to three weeks but this time there was an extra delay! Anyways I am really happy it's here and I'll do my best to catch up with you guys 🏃‍♀ Your part one looks beautiful as they do all the rest I saw on Instagram! Thanks again for all the info you give us about the pollinators we are going to stitch, makes it all more interesting! Going back to my stitching now and looking forward to seeing your next video 😍🐻🍯🐝🧵🪡

    So did you determine if the center was intended to look like a bear?

    • @theblueflower2115
      @theblueflower2115 2 месяца назад +1

      I can confirm that the bear was entirely unintentional, but now I see it every time I look at the design! 🤣🤣
