This is truly the most proud Project I’ve ever been a part of! I can’t wait to share after the movies premiered. I have been waiting since October 2022 I filmed on the 24th and 25th and I forget the other days as originally a hospice nurse and then they asked me to stay on for another role. I’m a nobody. But to be a part of something so beautiful was amazing. The Director, the cast & crew was phenomenal that was the last project I worked on before I got too sick & it’s truly favorite!

@@KvellAnpei after watching it it’s so much bigger and more important. Yes I’m proud I played a very small role and you don’t even see me. Nobody would be able to pick me out but me out but me. But if you came really personal because the two characters Doris and her mother I am a special needs mother. I had a son in a coma. With a traumatic brain injury. I had another child. I was torn living in the hospital with a child who They said where is not going to make it I was being asked to take him off support. And I didn’t. So I get the mothers perspective but I also have so much empathy and compassion for Doris and her character. Like the human disposition the human condition is so conflicting. And as the years have gone on one child has more special needs than the other they both have special needs. Am I doing enough for both. This movie made me self reflect and a way that it wasn’t ready for therapy I do all the things I am lucky because my son did survive but there’s two years of recovery wheelchairs learning how to walk and talk. And it’s severely affected his little sister. We all are in therapy to this day it’s been over a decade do I know this woman was writing a movie that I could relate so much too. I was there in production and didn’t get it because I only saw bits and pieces. I mean I got the gist I saw the script. But until you see it masterfully put together. I don’t care that you can’t see me anymore because it’s not as important as it was the week before it came out. Because it’s the message. There’s also the child in me that relates to Doris. A child that grew up in Florida at the same time who is so disconnected and had no relationship with their mom as an adolescent. Around the same time frame I’m a little older I think. But this movie truly is a gift and I believe it deserves way more recognition. And I feel icky and dirty for bragging that I played a small role that’s not even noticeable because it’s not important. But it was because it was the last job I ever did before I got sick. And my family had to take care of me as I might be cured or I might be in remission I don’t know yet I’m struggling with these emotions. I don’t want my children to worry about me. I don’t want them having trauma despite knowing they do my son having a terrible accident that was trauma for all of us Uniquely in our own ways. And I feel gross that I got swept up in the part of the situation where I’m like I’m in a movie for the first time. But all those scenes are cut out basically. Which makes me respect the process even more the amount of money they pay background actors and they end up cutting them and not needing them because of Time constraints or budgets. But they still had to pay us. So yeah we don’t get credited. And I guess the human part of me wanted just a small piece of Credit and I feel so gross about that because I did nothing. This did more for me And my than I ever could’ve done for it. If any of that makes any sense. ADHD/CPTSD speaking after some self reflection since watching the movie I’ve been terribly embarrassed. Even if there was a second of me on screen I’m still embarrassed of my behavior. This was a movie born out of trauma and it was birthed into something beautiful and tragic. The only thing I could say is I’m grateful I got to see some of that crazy production behind-the-scenes because you truly don’t understand what they put in. The work that is put in until you see it front and center. And I only saw that part there’s post production. Not dimension scouting locations like everything preproduction. And then poor PAs herding cats during the beautiful scenes like some in the movie that I don’t want to spoil and there’s lots of extras those are real people not CGI. It was a monstrous task. I watched them film that particular scene from both perspectives from Doris and Woody character.
All I could think about was the emotions Doris was feeling. The feeling of the mother because I never left my side when they kept telling me he wasn’t going to live. And I knew I had to be there leaving his sister confused staying with a preschool teacher. we’re talking three and four years old were there ages. Yes I am proud I was able to see things I would never get to see. But this is truly about an amazing Director and her story that she shared with the world so graciously. The characters that were brought to life by amazing actors and actresses! Bravo!
My conscious has been eating away with me since trying to clean my small little part. And it was for my own selfish reasons because I was so conflicted and hurting because it was the last time I worked before getting sick. It was the last time I did anything I was proud of Besides being a mom.
And I mess up every day. I stumble every day as a human. And I think that’s what this movie is about. We never get it right we never will we can keep trying and move forward. Lauren Chinn Deserves all of the props!

@@snackbetch8081 I read your comment and can see you and your family have gone through a lot. Yes, we all as humans make tons of mistakes but please don't be so hard on yourself for feeling proud of a wonderful work experience. You should be proud, why not... you've done nothing wrong. I am also a mother and I think sometimes we have a lot put upon our shoulders and then we continue to keep putting things on our own shoulders bc we think it's better on ours as long as it's not on theirs... at least I feel this way. But please unburden yourself, give yourself some grace, a break, a breath... from one mother to another, it's ok to be proud of ourselves. Btw, nice job on being in the film! Even if you aren't really seen. Hugs to you and hope you get better. Sincerely.

What an amazing movie. Laura Linney is so incredible. Nico Parker?! Wow. A beauty and an amazing actress! This might not be easy to watch for some but the human condition depicted is profound. I related to the mom and teenager simiutaneously! So real. So relatable. No overly dramatized stereotypes. Also, great performance by Woody Harrelson! Wow. I'm still crying. Just FYI.

She is way beautiful also, and a real talented actor. Seems mature also.. I like the hair also. And woody harrelson is awesome. Somewhere on the top of my list of favorite actors. I have a bunch.. It's a long list. But yeah.. warm movie. Thoughtful. And the 2000ish feeling to it also.. Same with the her mom. Also a good actor i have seen in some other movies earlier. It was just a good combo of actors overall.. i liked it.

Just streaming fodder for streaming services. And you wonder why theaters are the way they are now. Throwing everything to streaming or soon after.
