He seems like he's a genuinely lovely bloke. Although, I've gotta say, seeing "ol' goalpost head" as an old man with balding white hair makes me feel really old myeslf lol. Holograms don't age 😉
G'day to you ! Well done you what a nice Guy he seemed, I met Edward Woodward once here in Perth West Australia by chance in a Greasy Burger Bar ,I could not believe I was standing talking to Callan, he gave me 2 Tickets for the Premier of "Breaker Morant!" !
I was working as crew for a convention many years ago, the entire cast of Red Dwarf had been persuaded to attend by Danny John Joules, but when they all arrived they were told that Danny would not be attending, because he had swanned off to the Caribbean to play a role in the short lived (still running now) Murder in Paradise. The cast roasted him magnificently during one of the live talks. On the last day of the con, the crew were clearing away the venue, and many missed getting signed cast photos, Chris Barrie and Rob Llewellyn stayed in the car park an hour after the event had officially finished signing photos on the hood of Chris' Land Rover and just talking to people. Both very class acts in my opinion.
Loved RD growing up it was one of the programmes I could escape to as a teenager when life was getting too hard. Also it's something we would talk about in school the next day. Happy memories.
@@fitz9983 Rewatching them. One the DVDs . . . something that was a thing in the distant past . . . there is story boards for a sadly unfilmed episode where Cat meets fellow cats, and Chris Barrie does all of the voices. I thought it was Danny, but it was Chris doing Danny. Frighteningly good. Smeg!
Ah Chris Barrie genuinely a nice bloke. Hard to come by in TV nowadays bar Keanu Reeves. Would love to meet him! Very jealous! Thanks for the video w x
They should start writing new books for Chris to record the audio for. I’ve been listening to him read infinity welcomes careful drivers and better than life and it’s just insane how well he gets all the voices spot on it’s like you really are hearing an extended episode of the show that makes those audio books timeless. I just wish we had more!
Congrats to you for meeting him and yes what a great guy he was to spend that time talking with you too. We didn't know it was on but will do better next time it is on. Thanks for sharing this vid.
I met Chris, Danny and Hattie at Reading a few years ago and this is exactly the experience I got from all of them. Really genuine to the fans, Danny made sure that the guy in front of me got a really good selfie and was surprised that I remembered his role in Blade 2 when I lamented that the chances of me geing Ron Pearlman's autograph on the same picture was practically zero.
I met him at work one day when he was filming for Massive Engines and it was very entertaining watching him getting his words wrong. 😂 As everyone is saying, he's a thoroughly nice bloke. 👍🏼
I’ve only seen 2 cast members in real life: Robert Llewellyn at a book signing in early ‘95 (too many people so I didn’t queue up, but saw him from an angle), and Craig Charles when he did his “Live on Earth” show at the 1999 Melbourne Comedy Festival.
I almost thought that wasn't him, i did not recognize him right away with the glasses and receding hairline, so was he wearing a wig in the 2020 promise land movie????

So what if he's bald? That's what happens when you get older, look at me, I'm just a brain in a jarl😄😄😄
@@KRPTVI wonder how Rimmer would deal with going bald though.
@@Richard-ss4jg I think he'd prefer that to having a Helen Shapiro beehive! 😆😆😆😆
An utter legend, watched every episode of RD growing up on tv.
Truly brilliant writing and casting.
Oh how far the BBC have fallen since
Such a heart-warming interaction. What a guy
Thank you 🫡
I used to bump into Norman Lovett when I was walking to Clapham South tube station. Always said hello when I greeted him.
Amazing 🫡👏 from what I've heard the whole cast are nice people IRL

Sweet. I can't count how many times I have watched Red Dwarf. Love it.
Same here. 🙂
OMG, I'd be asking him to do the Rimmer salute 😂😂😂
I too was there and met him. What a guy!
What a gentleman he was. Hope you had a great time 🫡
I did thank you. You may have seen me walking around, 6ft 6 with glasses lol.@@fitz9983
He seems lovely. Brings back good memories of being 13 watching red dwarf. A bit later some of the britas empire also.
These days I consider Brittas Empire to be my personal #1 sitcom ever. Red Dwarf top 5 easy.
@@frankbrodie5168Brittas is criminally underrated. Pure chaos.

Hardly recognized him, until he started talking 😄

When Patrick Stewart first saw that hairstyle, he was straight onto his lawyers.

@locutus155 I LOVED the Hilly character and have always liked Hattie Hayridge as a stand-up, even. I'm sure she was lovely.
What happened to Mr. Brittas' hair!
I love him.
I love the fact that the Polymorph episode was one of his favorites.

Happy Birthday, Chris! :)
Smeg! I need a Red Dwarf injection stat.

Think he lives where I’m from in burnham and a chelsea supporter 😉
10k views! Wow, thanks everyone
And you didn’t even need to smoke him a kipper!
Sounds like you nailed the outfit!
Is that the “give quiche a chance “ T shirt you were wearing? 🙏😎
Thank you! Yes that's right, from the polymorph episode 🫡

He was most definitely wearing a wig in the promised land

What?
Smeg.
What about Chloe Annett? Have you ever met her at the convention in person?
I haven't had the pleasure yet, hoping to get the chance sometime this year ❤
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd where do you think your going 😂
Is that hattie with him?
Unfortunately not, she was a volunteer at the event
"Rimmer"? Really?
