My main concern with this plate is that it changes the orientation of the PCV valve - the design of the PCV requires it to point down, and gravity assists it in closing during boost.

Great video, very informative. Just have 1 question, I have a mazda 6 mps (mazdaspeed6 I'm australian), and I just bought the cstage 3 setup, I'm curious if running the dual catch can setup will have any negative impacts running stock boost? I'm planning on increasing the power over the coming months and I'm wondering if I should wait to instil the occ kit.

so i bought the VTA OCC, and im wondering if i set it up correctly, i went from the (new) PCV valve to the OCC back to the manifold. sadly i didn't buy the PCV plate at the time. its seems to be working, but im not sure. no MAJOR mods beside the normal HPFP, intake, catback, and tune. THANKS!

Do I need a PCV plate? I don't plan on going past stage 1 with my focus ST. I don't race but would like a stage 1 setup for some added fun as my daily driver.

So will I need to keep the PCV valve when I install the catch can? Or does the valve get deleted?

It's not the same for every engine. I'd say it's worth checking every time you do an oil change. That's just an easy way to remember to do it.
