Walking into my home town I suddenly heard a tune I knew the opening to so well. A guy in a disabled buggy came nearer with "Art for Art's Sake". BLASTING out. I had to give him a cheer & raised hat as he went by. One of 10cc's best tunes & a vinyl 45 I spin often. "Art for Art's Sake, Money for God's sake" is the cry of many an artist & musician

This is my favorite live version at Wembley in 1982. Most marvellous performance! Eric Stewart is sooo cool!! He's the greatest guitarist. I'm completely fascinated. Getting goose bumps!

Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, ELO, ELP, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Billy Joel, Eagles, J Geils, Bob Seger, Queen, Alan Parsons, Kansas, Joe Bonamassa and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Amazing stuff. Saw them at Wollongong EC a few years back. Seriously one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I seen a few too. So tight and true to the original sound.
This is just amazing! The synthesizer solo by Vic Emerson (?) is really the coolest and most creative use of the Yamaha CS-80 that I've ever heard, the ribbon bends are wicked! Also the duel guitar leads by Stewart and Rick Fenn kick major ass. 10cc really made some of the best music ever. Thanks for posting this gem!
I am bummed that I did not follow these guys after their big hit I'm Not in Love". Technology has made it much easier to acquire their music without having to jump through a lot of hoops. I think it did require a more refined taste to follow these guys in the 1970's. I have discovered a lot of neat 1970's groups thanks to RUclips. Another individual that I found thanks to yt is the late great Ronnie Lane and his former band Small Faces/Faces. Once again since I am in the states instead of the Uk exposure was somewhat limited unless I I imported more albums. 10cc or Faces did not have the marketing arm or outreach of say Queen or Stones. So if we were lucky we could stumble on them thanks to a good buddy. Otherwise it was pot-luck. These guys were pure geniuses. Well I can get my ears tickled anytime I want to now!
@@nathanfrahm Definitely. They didn't hit their slump until "Look Hear," but even their lesser albums were great...with the obvious exception of their last one "Mirror Mirror."
