Good video, and nice solution for stuck pin removal. I had to cut those half and with long punch i was able to hit stuck piece out of caliber. In my opinion, dont use copper paste with aluminium calibers. It will corrode aluminium for bad condition. Use instead white ceramic installation paste which can take over 600celsius heat and is safe for aluminium.

Great job mucker. Now for rear pads. Answered some questions. To go that far to remove disks is worth renewing them at the same time. Cheers

Is it possible to remove stuck pins with vice grips (mawl grips) with the rotor still on?

I spread it over an evening and a morning lol. If your brake pads have been replaced in the past year or so you should be fine removing the pins

Never put WD40 on the piston brakes!!! It destroy the rubber O ring. Put silicon grease.

Quick questions, when you tightened the 2 bolts that hold the Caliper in place, what torque setting did you go with?
    Thanks in advance

Probably a bit late, but maybe it'll help someone else out... 170Nm.

Are the rear pins the same size as the front ?I have discs and pads all round but can only find pins labeled for the front are they universal for the front and back ?

No loctite on caliper bolts? 🤔

I generally like your videos but technics like this are why they seize. A butcher like you with a vice grip scores the pins and then they rust solid. Just get a small bolt and a lump hammer not a Fucking nail hammer and 2 good taps pops them out. Another thing to note you didn’t torque the caliper bolts. (105nm)
