Napa is my favorite airport in the entire Bay Area. Wide open, beautiful. I soloed there in 1974, and flew for many years there. Then I moved to HWD, and now I'm at CCR. Back in the day, Jonsey's was open, and it had wonderful steaks and burgers. Due to it's location, Napa has not had much development encroach around the field...so there is plenty of open space, water, and natural beauty. The Napa Valley, and the Valley of the Moon... spectacular. Thanks for the nice video!
You're right Kevin - even if just to go and do some pattern work. I need to stop there one of these days and explore at and around the airport someday!
Fun to watch this one Misha (since I've done that little hop many times). Just had a long day of flying myself. KDVO - KPRB- KDVO - KTRK - KDVO. What a day!
@@zacharynorman397 That's awesome! I remember last summer when I flew 01W to KTVL. We basically climbed to 11.5 until the foothills and enjoyed the view over the lake. The takeoff coming back home was interesting - DA about 8000 but the plane handled it just fine! It was a great flight.
@@mtyukin KTVL is on my shortlist now too. I wanted to get Truckee done first since I sort of view that one as slightly easier than Lake Tahoe. I need to review the passes out that way and see what routing makes sense.
