It isn't remotely surprising that Hugh Grant is doing Horror. Nearly 30 years ago, I saw him in 'An Awfully Big Adventure.' Grant's manager of a travelling theatre troupe performing Peter Pan finds himself filling in for Alan Rickman as Captain Hook. I can tell you his Captain Hook was far scarier than Alan Rickman's, even allowing for Rickman's over-the-top theatricality. I've never forgotten that, and I always thought Hugh Grant had hidden depths that are only now becoming apparent.
I loved the first half of 'Heretic' but felt the second half struggled to maintain the tension and I found it increasingly difficult to suspend my disbelief... so I would have to change my choice of door based on which half of the film I was watching.
👌as usual Peter It was a gloriously creepy film and Hugh Grant is superb I suppose it fed into my fantasy of trapping these types or Jehovah’s Witnesses in long dialectical conversations out of badness 😂
As I was watching Peter summarise the opening 15 minutes of the film I was starting to wonder when he’d actually get around to reviewing it. Was it well made? How was the pacing? The music? The performances? Was it worth watching? (Yes). And then the “review” ended. Sheesh.
Far, far too much talking in this film, zero scares or horror, too much explaining and explaining and the central premise as it's revealed is not convincing at all. Hugh Grant excellent however.
This what a review should be about succinct, informed, witty. Well done.
I must have another look at The Lair of the White Worm. I couldn't quite believe it first time around.

Hey Peter do all you critics ever hear and have expectations for a movie before seeing it and reviewing It
1:38 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
sugary rush trick or treat intro
Was it any good?
I lost the plot a bit, (but I'm nearly 70!) I'd be interested what others thought, I thought it was creepy, surprisingly nasty and very well acted!
yes, Hugh Grant's having a lot of fun, and so did I
So did you like it?

90% of this "review" is a regurgitative summary of the plot. Lazy.
