- Today I tested some arts and crafts hacks involving hot glue...they were terrible. Making erasers, hats, gloves, and phone cases DIY with hot glue? um yeah ok. See what happened! A LOT of them were fake..they said "extremely helpful" but I think we all know the truth.

Chloe, I am just going to give you this warning. Ad-Tech is the cheapest brand of glue gun out there. And not just because of the price. NEVER, EVER EVER leave your glue gun laying on it's side. The glue will flood into the inner chamber and it can short out the heating element and cause an electrical fire.
It happened to mine. Blew a fuse in the wall, and literally lit up in blue electrical fire. I am VERY lucky I wasn't holding it.
I highly recommend getting a Surebonder. They come with lots of safety features like an auto-shutoff, an on-off switch, and an internal fuse in case there's ever a power surge.
I also called the Ad-Tech company and left them a message about their glue gun LITERALLY CATCHING FIRE and they never even returned my call.
For your own sake, I suggest chucking that one as soon as possible and investing in something that costs a little more but has the peace of mind attached!!

@@ChloeRoseArt I can recomment the Aleene's. You can still find them at Michael's. They come with several different nozzles for ribbon, thin line, etc. Well worth it. I have put some serious mileage on mine and it still works like a dream.
@@ChloeRoseArt YW, it's one of my weird soapboxes ever since it happened. I get very anxious whenever I see glue guns laying on their sides!! My surebonder not only looks badass (it's black and green, like some kind of crafty hackers computer code screen, lol) but it also has these little 'wings' on the sides that mean if you DO set it on it's side, the nozzle is still lower than the chamber. The peace of mind when I use it is amazing. And the on-off switch is great. No more leaning down to unplug it if I have to leave the room for 20 minutes. I just shut it off, and click it back on when I come back!
@Palitato, could you recommend the proper way of keeping a glue gun while it's on, instead of on its side? I recently bought my very first glue gun and am not entirely sure about the proper protocols, and the warnings on the package are vague at best

Br44n5m I was thinking the same thing. A 3D pen wouldn’t stick to anything. Also it’s red. I’ve never seen red hot glue sticks! Lol
I actually have seen red glue sticks before, in some craft kits around Michael's. I do agree, though, they're using something that definitely isn't hot glue :P

The hair tie was very obviously just a hair tie they used to fake it. Hot glue is kind of tacky and it would get stuck in your hair.

My hair is currently in a bob and has been for the better part of 2018 (either via a salon or random spurts at 2 AM of “I wanna cut my hair”). I’m serious when I say that nothing has made me miss my long hair, it may have made me remember that my hair isn’t long anymore or remember the times my hair was long, but I’ve never missed it-heck, I don’t miss it now, it was just Chloe’s video that made me go “Dang, I miss my long hair”.
I got an A-line bob and the back part has just reached the end of my neck and I say that it’s too long.😂😂😂
I’ve also found hair in my pencil case. 😂😂😂

The easier way of using hot glue as an eraser is just using the actual gluestick,
But I guess it’s too advanced and complicated to be a life hack.
You can also use parchmentpaper/bakingsheets instead of waxpaper.

By that giant watermark in the center of her video at the start I can tell that her videos have been stolen and she's trying to prevent that. Good job. I'd recommend putting a mostly transparent watermark in one of the corners of the video for the entire duration along with the inital prominent watermark in the center.

I used to have something similar made of plastidip and chicken wire. I put my actual gloves on the hollow hands to increase air circulation and dry them out.
That said i set them on a heat vent and i really cant picture doing it with hot glue.

I like to "sculpt" with hot glue. You have to let each layer dry before adding the next, otherwise it will sink into a blob. If you dunk/ or pour cold water on it, it dries clearer and faster!
