Nei perni di rotazione degli assi presentano dei cuscinetti o delle boccole ? Grazie Do they have bearings or bushings in the pivot pins of the axes? Thank you
I have looked at the Scheepach grinder and it feels very "China copy" of a Tormek. I use an old Tormek that are from about 1990 and it still works perfectly. A sturdy welded steel body and very stabil construction, no flex in the tool rest. Tormek are giving 7 years warranty on the bigger T8 even for professional use and for the smaller T4 witch are more in the same range as the Scheepach they give 7 years for home use. I would put my money on Tormek, the quality are so much higer and you have to see this as an investment for many years to come.
M. R. If you look carefully it is the stone flange/sticker that is out of alignment. If you look at the edge of the stone wheel in comparison to the power outlet it looks consistent.
Hey, thanks for posting! I just got a machine like that, but i can't figure out what the knob on the back is for. It can be turned "+" and "-", but what is the purpose? Can you help?
Vh. Carsten
I bought a Tormek and sold it a month later. These types of wet grinders are VERY, VERY SLOW. It's poor design. Knives can be sharpened much faster without overheating/damage to the blade.
i have this machine , while the machine is very good the CHINESE Abrasive wheels , are ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE, they are extremely poor quality with massive soft spots. i had the original replaced under warranty, the second wheel was no better if not slightly worse. I am a retired ABRASIVE SALES REP, and have some knowledge in abrasives , bonded, coated , vitrified, etc these blue wheels are JUNK
Jeffrey Lord I am no abrasive expert but I have noticed the stone seems to release abrasive excessively and unevenly making the wheel go out of round and form high spots.
Jeffrey Lord thanks for that post, I just bought one of these machines and have had a lot of difficulty getting a square edge on my tools. Another buy will be a good stone! That will solve my problems!
This machine is a hunk of shit. Currently trying to refund mine after less than a week the leather has an air pocket bulging in one spot & is coming off at the join, the wheels not round or true & it doesn't come with a truing tool. It also has 2 huge plastic star headed guide rod fixing bolts that block you from passing your blade across the machine. A perfect example why it always costs me more when i try to go cheap. When will i learn!
Great, simple and straightforward demonstration. Thanks.

wonderful video thank you
Could you write what was not fitted? Heard to listen and dont understand that part. Have you had wobbling on the grinding stone?
1.44 "Or your wife really wants sharp knifes" Are you serious? Never, I repeat NEVER give the wife sharp implements!

Does this come with the knife jig and other accessories?
that was good, Thanks
the stone is of a terrible abrasive that split every tool you put on
thanks for sharing!
Just got mine, but the index for chisel sharpening is completely off. Did you have that problem? And if so, how can I correct it, please?
still using it after 5 years working ok ? :) any issues i need to pay atention, since im looking to buy one for 100euro
Tak for en fin video :)
Thanks for info!
What polish is that your using?
Danish too..??
Thanks for the rewiev.... I Just bought a 2000S
What is the granulation of the stone?
1.47,, don't need a dial gauge to see wheel running out of true.
Is the only difference between the 120 and 60 jig the with of the knife holder?
Why are the wheels off center and wobbling? Doesn't look very good to me.
Still worth the money.
ostrzymy pod prad czy z pradem ?z kierunkiem obrotu czy odwrotnie ?
can it be that your stone is wobbling slightly?
you get what you pay for...
@roscott : this machine wasnt exactly cheap. sure half the price of tormek, but for this price you expect the thing to actually work properly

i have it and in my case you can feel that the stone is actually of center
You didn't say anything about the jigs. Do they come with the machine?
only included is device 70 (universal device for straight standard tools eg chisels)

it tightens the grip between motor shaft and the shaft of the stone
'shaft of the stone'? Please explain, thanks.

look at the run out on the abrasive wheel, thats disgusting. Thats not right??

Sounds like a german accent.

And how exactly do you do that?
Why do you spin the wheel towards you when sharpening? That's a massive safety risk.

difflocktwo you can get a grey stone from SEALY'S ON E BAY
It will need a 20mm to 12mm in insert for the shaft . Much better wheel '
