- Fishing for HUGE Striped Bass has been something Dana has never been able to join us doing on the Chesapeake Bay , due to her motion sickness on big water. In this video, we selected a river system known to produce good fish, and set up a charter with Tennessee River Monsters and@wickedoutdooradventures6694 . We had to postpone our trip due to the lockdown, but rescheduled as soon as restrictions were lifted. Unfortunately, Captain Manning was unable to take us on the new dates, but he was very accommodating, and he hooked us up with Deuces Wild Fishing Charters, who hooked us up with some really good fishing! We boated more than a dozen fish over 20 pounds, and numerous fish in the 10 to 15 pound class. Join us for a morning of nonstop fishing action! If you would like to book a trip of your own on the Tennessee River, I'd recommend these guides. They both went out of their way to get us on the water and put us on BIG FISH! Use the links below to contact them and find further information on making a memorable trip for anything from big stripers to trophy catfish!

People are so friendly in Tennessee.
Yes they are!
"Heading down the Blue Ridge Mtns" that alone is worth it. Dang, Dana "FISH ON!" Nice job.
Yes it is! Especially nowadays! Hopefully things will start turning around, and we can all get out there and do this stuff a bit more!
@@SharingTheOutdoors Let's hope so.
Congratulations Ya'll make great decisions when planning adventures between bow seasons - Well Done!!!!!!
Yes indeed! Got to take a break from the treestand now and again!
Those are some big stripers. Great catches!
Having fished the Chesapeake Bay for trophy stripers here more than once, I was impressed with the quality of fish in that river for sure!
🐟 holy ginourmous fish Mike & Dana. You guys were slaying them monsters & got some good eating size hybrids for the freezer, you can't ask for anything else. Big baits = Big 🐟 lol. Well done. That water was rocky as hell with them letting the gates open. This was surely a good time for you both. Congratz. Stay safe & be well my friends.
Yes we will. We had had to postpone this trip because of the lockdown, but it worked out. Good Lord is looking out for us, and put us out there on a day we will NEVER forget! Shame we couldn't get on fish like this when we went down to Lanier, but we sure did stock the freezer that time! Stay well my friend!
@@SharingTheOutdoors Good times even during the rough times. Cooking video time lol.
Nice work Dana..Thanks for some entertainment Mike..
You know it! Amazing day on the water! Now if I can just get a turkey to cooperate.
@@SharingTheOutdoors There are so many turkeys here in South east Michigan it's crazy. 20+ in groups..
I’ve fished this spot a few times, love the scenery along with the fishing!
It was very impressive fishing!
"Big Catch" Dana does it again!
So glad we could finally get her out to get a big striped bass!
Wow that is crazy striper bite Love the Video 👍👍🔥🔥😎💖
It was a memorable trip, no doubt about it!
@@SharingTheOutdoors thank you !
Perfect timing on that trip
Yes it was. We caught it just right!
Man that looks like a blast. I’ve never fished for white bass or striper. Really good video and as always Dana does it again lol
You know that's right! We've fished for big striped bass in the Bay before, they troll, hook a fish, keep right on going and you real it in while they drag the fish behind the boat. Nothing at all like this, with 25, 30 pound fish hitting on a dead drift and stripping drag! You really get to enjoy the battle!
I have pulled some giant catfish out of that river. But we used to catch striped hybrids in the Cumberland River when I was living in Clarksville
Yes, they have a mix of hybrids and true stripers due to TVA's yearly stocking of pure strain stripers. Captain Mark was telling us he fishes for monster cats too! Might have to give that a try in the furture!
Man that looked real fun. Great job crew
Thanks! Got to admit, we've done a lot of fishing, but this trip is right up there in the top ten, if not the top five!
Hope you released them all.
@@MattyRox the big ones? Yes. We took a few of those five pounders for the skillet though for sure. Stripes are great eating!
@@SharingTheOutdoorsamen to that. 🤤
I was told blue back herring are ileagle on watts bar are they looks like they what yall were using
While we were not fishing Watts Bar Reservoir, you are correct, blueback herring are banned not just there, but in all of Tennessee, But you have mistaken Gizzard Shad purchased at a local bait store for those.
Great video guys! Those were some amazing fish. Cheers from Delaware!
It was an amazing morning!
great fishing, like 35
They were some good fish! Incredible day on the water!
Dam!!!! I might actually contact the charters and see about doing this! Looks absolutely amazing lol awesome vid man!!!! Did u check out the herping vids? I'll have another one up Tomorrow evening
We have been on the go since Tennessee opened back up. We darted right on down the road! Then we got after those turkey as soon as we got back. Not having much luck, too many people out with everyone off work. But I'll make a little time to catch up on my subs this weekend! By all means, if you can get down and fish with these guys, go for it! They fish for everything from stripers, huge catfish, and our next video will be of us catching white bass for the cooler with them! Very reasonable rates, and a great way to start getting back out there without having to deal with crowds!
@@SharingTheOutdoors heck yeah sounds amazing! I'll definitely check Into it! Also haven't had any luck with turkeys yet or talked to anybody who has it's a weird spring for them
What's the best time of year to fish for stripers in Tennessee?
We asked the guide when we booked and he advised late April early May, and we certainly can’t complain about the results! But they do catch them over the summer and fall too
What time of the year was this awesome trip? Can you catch these year round or is there a best time of the year?
We went in the spring. I know they do catch them all year, but I don't think they hit as well at some time of the year. As far as the best times, contact the Captain. They should be able to give you a better idea of when your best chances are.
Hey dude, great video! Can you tell us which cities/towns are close to this section of TN River? I am thinking of moving over there. Thank you guys.
Knoxville area. Eastern Tennessee.
Nah.....you don't wanna move here....we're full. Too many people here already. Texas is the new hot spot. Try there
What county of the Tennessee river or Dam were y'all fishing??
That’s fort loudon dam, Goodluck
Do you have to release or is there a limit for person?
There are limits to allow anglers to keep fish for the table. We did keep a few of the smaller fish, but in this trip the guide requested we release the large egg bearing females so they could spawn. You can check the TWRA fishing regulations online for the current possession and size limits, which may have changed since we filmed this video
@@SharingTheOutdoors okay thank you we wanna go from Asheboro NC but wanna make sure we can take some home 😅
🔥Hey guys! Just started a sick fishing channel is its going to be popping! Awesome funny and quality fishing content! Small Channel just doing our finest! 👍 👍😀
Awesome!
what is a good bait for these fish and when is a good time to go....
We used live shad, and fished in May, but if you use the link in the description for Deuces Wild Fishing Charters, the guide who took us, you'll find they are still catching nice stripers in the river even now, but using different methods.
Wow awesome video, what kind of bait are you using?
We were using live shad.
What bait were you guys using?
Live threadfin shad
If you're ever near Decatur, Alabama on the Tennessee...Pretty sure there's some fish under this! Found this huge SHIP that carries rockets for NASA, on the Tennessee! -ruclips.net/video/5PD9lSYxmeA/видео.html
Thanks for the tip!
That’s not a hybrid. It’s a striper
We caught a mix of hybrids and stripers. The ones with lines that are straight are pure strain striped bass, the ones where the lines are broken and do not line up are hybrids.
@@SharingTheOutdoors Incorrect. some stripers have broken lines as well. Those yall caught were stripers. Need to inform the captain a little more.
Just found your channel form a post on another video new subscriber here. Awesome channel. If you don’t care go check out our channel we do some cool fishing videos and reviews thanks
Cool! You mentioned the "S" word in a comment and it got put in the likely spam folder. We'll give ya a look!
