  • Effortlessly infuse wort with pure oxygen in less than a minute, maximizing the level of dissolved oxygen to dramatically decrease lag time and yield vastly improved yeast attenuation. Equipped with a 16" aeration wand, the Oxygenation Kit 2.0 ensures oxygen infusion into even the deepest pockets of your fermentor. Provide the yeast with an optimal fermentation environment to ensure they produce the optimal brew.
System comes with valve to attach to an oxygen tank, tubing, hose clamp and a 16" aeration wand tipped with a stainless steel 0.5 micron air stone. You can find oxygen tanks at any hardware store.

I've seriously sat here for 5 minutes with my comment written out because I don't really want to post it. I am a loyal fan and customer, but I think this needs to be said:
I'm sure I can't be the only one who is confused by these videos. I got into homebrewing largely because I found the original BrewingTV videos somehow, and I was entertained and intrigued by them. If there was product placement, I wouldn't say it was discrete, but it was certainly tastefully done. And I get it. These videos are great to embed on the website, but Northern Brewer has another youtube channel for that kind of stuff. I seriously think that calling this BrewingTV is really more of an insult to the BrewingTV Fan/Northern Brewer shopper.
Please continue put up these videos, because I think they are helpful, but I would suggest switching channels and changing out the BrewingTV shirts and banners for Northern Brewer ones. BrewingTV has some pretty loyal fans, and you aren't going to convince them with logos plastered everywhere. This is not BrewingTV.
    IMHO.

wow, I came to this new video thinking the same things. WHAT HAPENED???? These videos are soooooooooo far off my initial reason for subscribing to to brewing t.v. Please bring back the original guys. Nothing against the new guys, just the people running it.

15-30 seconds? I've always been told 60 seconds for average OG wort. Wyeast recommends 60 seconds for 12 PPM.

at 1:47, how many PSI is the regulator set at to be producing that aeration?

Pure oxygen is about five times more concentrated than normal air. The act of introducing oxygen into the headspace and then shaking the carboy is probably as effective as using a bubbler. The headspace is in equilibrium with the liquid phase and as oxygen is consumed in the liquid phase by the yeast it will be replenished from the headspace.

Do you think we could use these stones in a hydroponic setup with an air pump running?

Hey there. Im JUST solving a method to oxygenate my kombucha Brew, but getting a bit confused about this. I thought that yeasts work best at anaerobic conditions, otherwise Bacteria Is pumped up by oxygen to disolve the etanol. I know Its a bit different colony in Beer And kombucha, but the process should be simmilar when IT comes to enviroment that works best for those yeasts/Bacteria?

Also, can the stone be disconnect/replaced if it gets clogged? If so, what kind of fitting is it and where can I get it?
