So uhhh,, are silk veil fans common with belly dancing? If so, can they be used outside of that form of expression? I do Color Guard so I was hoping to just use it as a prop for the dance portion of my personal choreography along with my flag.
Yes, silk fan veils are a belly dance prop. You may want to check with others in your field about cultural appropriation and Color Guard. We do not have that here, where I live. Always safe to check first :)
I sell silk fan veils. Some use it for belly dance. Some customers in US use them in worship dance and other kinds of dances. And we also sell flags by the way
