네버랜드의 피터팬은 어른이 되어 어느 신도시 아파트를 영끌로 사고 출근할때 마다 오늘은 칼퇴근을 하는게 목표인 어른이 되었습니다.
나이 마흔에 노래를 듣다가 눈물이 났네요
진짜 내심적으로 늙어가고 싶지 않는 어른들은 동심라는 메시지 너무 깊게 와닿는 것 같아요. 너무 감명있게 들었습니다. 루시 음악해줘서 너무 고마워요. 항상 루시 음악에 위로 받아서 살고 있죠. 루시 최고!
유치원, 어린이집 4년차 교사입니다. 코로나로 아이들도 교사들도 많이 지쳤던 순간들이 많았던 시간들도 있었지만 그 안에서 항상 아이들은 뛰어 놀고 친구와 소통하면서 성장하는 아이들을 보고 저도 많이 배우는 시간을 갖고 있습니다.
루시 놀이 노래는 우리들의 추억의 놀이 뿐만 아니라 지금 우리와 함께 살아가는 아이들의 놀이를 통해 세상을 보는 눈을 가질 수 있도록, 순수하고 즐거웠던 그 시절의 눈을 보여주는 노래 같아요 :)
루시 노래를 듣기 시작한지 얼마 되지 않은 왈왈이지만 원상이가 전하고 싶은 메시지의 동심을 느낄 수 있어서 출근할 때, 퇴근할 때 루시 노래로 많은 위로와 안정감을 느끼는 요즘입니다. 노래가 나온 8월 17일 저녁부터 그 다음 날 출근해서 아이들을 마주할 때 오늘 하루 더 신나게 재미있게 놀면서 아이들도, 저도 '오늘 하루 진짜 재미있게 놀았고 즐거웠다!'라고 느끼게 해주고 싶었어요. 전보다 더 긍정적이고 사랑스러운 눈으로 아이들을 볼 수 있게 해준 노래라서 앞으로도 오래 기억에 남을 거 같아요.
멋진 곡을 만들어준 원상이, 그 메시지를 목소리로 전해주는 상엽이와 광일이, 악기로 분위기를 이끌어주는 예찬님과 고마워요. 뮤비 보면서 나의 어린 시절과 우리 아이들을 떠올릴 수 있어서 행복합니다☺️ 앞으로도 루시 노래 들으며 힘낼게요!
해외나가서 멋지게 찍어온 뮤비들도 좋지만
뮤비부터 가사까지 현실을 봐주고 위로해주는거 너무 최고다ㅠ

모나다거나 덜자랐다는 의미의 '어린 마음'이 아니라, '어릴 때의 마음가짐' 을 갖고있으면 무엇이든 할 수 있다는 메세지를 꾸준히 던지는 게 너무 좋다.. 우리는 철들지 못한 게 아니라 그저 아이같이 즐거운 마음을 안고 살아가는 거라고 말하는 점이 정말 많은 위로가 됨..
루시가 정말 좋은이유는 요즘같이 어두운 노래가 대부분인데 되게 항상 밝은 노래로 사람들한테 희망을 주는거 같아서 좋음 이런 노래가 다시 한국에도 많아졌으면 좋겠다.. 너무 삭막학 세상속에서 힘이 되주는 노래
진짜 루시는 위로가 제일 잘되는거 같아요... 들으면 들을수록 편안해지고..
At the end (3:50) his mom said ; "son, dinner's ready!" which is what moms commonly say when their child is out playing and it's time to eat, basically calling him to go home and eat before he can play again. This is such a minimal detail but it means a whole lot, and to think that the more we grow up the more we grow apart from everything we didn't know was special at the time. And i also noticed that each of the lucy members is trying to bring out the child inside the stressed individual to remind him that it's okay to be child-like sometimes and to not grow up too fast. Wonsang and him on the train (1:03), when they bumped into each other they could've had the chance to talk and maybe even become friends instead of just ending it with a "sorry", but he didn't, 'cause he's grown and he has worries. Yechan when they were eating barbecue (1:57) , he kept smiling widely at him, to encourage him to smile back and enjoy the feast with him, but he didn't, he kept focusing on grilling the meat, lending the meat to others, and finally took the last burnt piece, but even then he still doesn't look happy, 'cause he's grown and he has worries, unlike what was shown in (2:45) where the child him was having fun (playing) WITH Yechan, with no worries and no problems. Sangyeob with him in the taxi (2:20), as you can see Sangyeob kept on talking to him to encourage him to not completely focus on his worries, just as he was when he was just a child, but as sangyeob kept talking he became more occupied in his thoughts and once again focused on his worries and problems, he's grown after all, huh? Unlike what was shown in (2:39) where he was having fun (playing) WITH Sangyeob in the taxi. And at (3:20) we can now see him interacting with Gwang-il, still too occupied in his thoughts to talk with or interact with Gwang-il even further, and just simply not being in the moment. Gwang-il looked at him at (3:39) maybe hoping for him to someday "make a smile like the days when we used to play". All of these instances that the members kept on wanting to "play" with him, kinda reminds me of their song "Snooze" where they said *"We just want to play with you, Woo feel our childhood. It won't wait for us".* And in the Snooze MV, they were just like this man too, stressed, grown, has the feeling that he has to be mature enough to face his problems, that kind of individual. Not until they took out their instruments one by one and started re-finding their passion and started "playing" with themselves. So I have the feeling that, now that they found and brought back the child in themselves again, they're helping others find it now, meanwhile not forcing them, but trying their best to play with them. That's why when you look at Gwang-il's eyes at the end, he's like saying "there's not much we can do" all the while watching him leave, but in the end, he found the child inside him all by himself (he looked happy and relieved when his mom called him to eat dinner). And maybe, just maybe, that's what they want for us too. For us to be mature but child-like at the same time, that it's okay to feel like a child sometimes and to feel childish feelings.
And I'm reminded that in their "Snooze" MV they also sang "But you don't have to be an adult, be immature sometimes" which adds the feels to it more huhu i'm not crying YOU ARE.

what a great interpretation.. I cried when reading this.. it's so hard being an adult, and this song really hits me as a young adult
When his mom says "let's eat" (that's what I heard) it feels like everything is going well. It feels like when you was finally at home, despite if your day was great or horrible, despite if your friends make you happy or someone make you sad.
I'm not sure but I think in that end, with his mom saying it... He finally realized that sometimes being a child (again) it's okay, it's like going home.
(Idk if I'm right cause I'm also not English speaker jksjks it's hard thinking in English jksjks but yeah that is what I thought when I heard that. Thanks for reading and sorry if I wrote something wrong >3)

어렸을땐 모든게 (운전, 직장 다니는것) 재밌어보이는 놀이였는데 크고나니 재밌어보였던 일들이 지루하고 탈출하고 싶은 일상이 된거.. 그래서 놀이하듯 하루하루를 재밌게 살던 때를 추억하며+지금 나의 삶도 그렇게 지루한 일상이 아닐수도 있음을 알려주는 노래

when the mother said "wonhyeong-ah let's eat dinner" at the end.. it's a simple line but it succesfully made me cry. it reminds me of the time when i was a child, when i was busy playing with my friends until dawn then my mom will call me to come back home and eat.. those little things that little me thought it doesnt have any meaning, but as you get older, you realize that you'll never experience those moments again..
The more you watch the MV, the more hidden messages you get from every scenes. From that guy who walks alone in the same way, the thrown paper turned into paper planes on your innerchild view (like your hope), overcooked samgyeopsal scenes, the way the only thing that you can do is put your earphone when you're tired, how he hopes he can rest for lil bit from his day 🥺 hope everyone will get comforted by this MV too as well.. please don't forget to take your time to rest or to play like the day when you were a child 🥺💙

I started listening to this song after it was sung at the build up, and I just realized when I saw this video clip it turned out that one of its members named Sangyeop had participated in the duet song festival, he sang with Ken from VIXX, I already liked it from he sang there..I'm proud of you ❤

This kinda feels like a continuation of Rolling Rolling, not just in the theme of remembering your childhood (LUCY's concept in general) but how the song itself sounds. But y'know, as a young adult, I never realized how much I needed to hear songs like LUCY's until now. Of course, I'm still young, but there's only one childhood you get to live, and you don't really realize what you've lost while growing up until you're grown.
THIS! There is something so beautiful about the way their concept, lyrics, and music all flow together that helps remind us to stay young no matter how old we are

놀고싶다... 대학 가는 후에 가끔 어린 시절이 생각났어, 다시 봐도 유치원부터 고등학교까지 항상 공부했었어, 수많은 수학, 생물학, 물리학과 화학 문제 풀었었는데, 칭찬도 받는데, 행복함 하나도 없음. 근데 고3때 루시가 내 인생의 들어왔어서 힘이 받고 지금 부모님의 소원말고, 대신 내 나만의 길이 걸어중, 루시 덕분에 행복을 찾았어 💙💙💙

To be able to remind a person their childhood through a song is amazing. Band Lucy is truly talented.
What a wonderful song from LUCY once again... love how it's both a nice continuation to "Rolling Rolling" with their common themes of adulthood/childhood, personal growth and the seeking of hapiness, but also with their similar sounds which have both upbeat and emotional vibes. It may be even more touching and nostalgic than "Rolling Rolling"... as it conveys perfectly the struggles of growing up and settling into adulthood.
Many people idealize adulthood when they're still children, thinking of it as an exciting state of life, in which they'll be able to do so many things they aren't allowed to do as kids... basically adulthood equals freedom in their minds and dreams, so they want to grow older quickly. However when they finally hit adulthood, they soon discover how it's far from their innocent/naive expectations. Instead of the freedom they craved for, most of them realize that they've actually lost the freedom they were already granted as children. And now, it seems that many adults miss the time when they were still kids, when they could run outside freely, act carelessly without much consequences and let their imagination take them to beautiful places, devoid of the pragmatic and realistic worries that define adulthood. Some adults even want so bad to just go back in time and be kids forever instead of living as grown-ups.
And this song and MV also express really well this nostalgic feeling and the desire (or even necessity) for many of us adults to preserve the child that's still alive somewhere within ourselves. The child that we're pushed to repress and hide away for the sake of "growing up" and conforming to society's rules, of fitting into the shape of the adult and respectable member of society we're expected to become. This alone can end up as a cause of depression for so many adults around the world. Because somewhere in the process of becoming an adult, we may feel like we're losing our true self : the child we once were and who was dreaming of something brighter than all of this.
But just as "Play" and "Rolling Rolling" illustrate through their lyrics and visual imagery, comfort and joy in adulthood can also be achieved by preserving our child-self identity. It reminds me how some of us, soaked in gloomy exhaustion after a long day of work, suddenly manage to bloom in relief, excitation and happiness once at home. When we can finally take off our heavy suits and ties and adult-shaped personas, put aside our responsibilities and anxiety, getting rid of the stress and hectic schedules and constant talking and shouts for a moment. When we can forget about the expectations that were laid upon our shoulders and just be our true selves once again for a little while. It's just so comforting, in the shelter of our home and far away from the eyes of society, to watch silly videos or listen to music or draw or hide beneath our blanket fort and forget about reality for a bit, diving back into our imagination and passions that we're meant to conceal during the day. These fleeting moments are what keep some of us going... the moments when we can act as the kids we actually never ceased to be.
As always, LUCY's songs never fail to carry their messages and to spark some emotion and reflexion within us. Apart from its musical and aesthetic qualities (beautiful instrumentation and vocal parts, great lyricism, artistic and intelligent visuals), "Play" has the power to stimulate the listeners' imagination and lead them to introspection - and hopefully to self-acceptance and a more positive mindset. As expected from our ultra-talented artists who gifted us with another masterpiece !
