I’m loving this home aesthetic trend of natural wood. Wood and marble is my favorite combination.
I love the whole vibe going on right now, and it feels like "home" to me. Calm, warm, earthy and low key. I have had guests comment that they love the decor because it's "calming" and I think the natural materials, as you say, play a big part in that.
Love how the table turned out. It’s beautiful! It really warms the room up, and looks very expensive.

Wow what a difference on that table. I rinsed off a small table like that before & the type of wood caused it to swell. Glad that didn’t happen to you. 😊
I guess some swelling is part of this particular method (and it happens to the whole table not just one part) but if you're not looking for it to happen, that would be bad! I'm glad it turned out okay 👍🏼

Just a tip for working with Citristrip. Put it on very thickly and then wrap the furniture piece with a few layers of Saran Wrap. Press the Saran Wrap down against the surface of the piece. Let it sit for 2 to 3 hours. When you remove the Saran Wrap a lot of the paint will come off along with the Saran Wrap. Then just scape as usual. It is a lot less work.
I will try that next time for sure!

The table looks awesome! White was pretty too, but this is just chef’s kiss 💋 Citristrip is a very effective stripper! You really do need to slather it on, and then, and then, Saran Wrap it! If it’s allowed to dry, it makes for hard work. Keep repeating the process through the varnish, and the stain. Of course if you were looking to raise the wood, I have no experience with that, but I do appreciate the effectiveness of Citristrip. You’re really good at curating your home. Did you pick up a pair of those 👠 for the party? Circus 🎪 theme was adorable - happy 4th! 🥳💕
Thanks very much! I had heard about the saran wrap; if I do another project like this soon I'll definitely try that. The shoes weren't my size but I just love vintage items and thought it was a nice collection 🥰 The party went swell, thanks. It was my first time making a circus tent cake for sure!

I loved the oval coffee until it was painted white. It was ordinarily boring. You have redeemed yourself with the do-over. The table now is stunning and has a personality. Good job. Loved the wood branch candle holder. Really cool.

Just a suggestion. Maybe try putting the brownish stems (that seem to be a bit larger and flow out more) in the tall vase and the asparagus stems in the shorter one.
Really love the thrift with me and your narration! The table also looks so much better with the warm wood, grain, and shade variations- very organic modern.

I discovered your channel. You have a great eye for vintage potential. I’ve been a thriftier for years, but you’ve given me some exciting ideas. One suggestion, not to be critical but watch how many times you say actually. The table looks wonderful!

Personally I would of left the table white it looked really beautiful.
I've seen people use that paint stripper before but what they did is after they applied the paint stripper, the wrapped their item with cling wrap and left it on over night (or some time you can look it up) and then the paint comes off easy. I love your table done with the oven cleaner. I have a couple of pieces like that. I like it :)) And aren't the thrift stores getting to be so expensive. I've noticed that in mine. It's almost worth going to Ross or something. I've been shocked looking at the prices in thrift stores. But, I still find some things sometimes :))
I'm definitely going to do that next time! And yeeees, prices are going up, even at thrift stores. Occasionally I will pass on something even though I like it because it's overpriced even at the thrift store😞
Love the coffee table! I wish my space would work with a coffee table, but I have 3 boys who tend to russle around... so maybe when they're older haha!

When you use Citri-strip try and cover the surface with plastic.. drop cloth, garbage, bag, saran wrap, etc. .. it keeps the stripper from drying out and does a much better job and lifting whatever you’re trying to get off.

Loved the maple tree. A little jealous. Even 2nd hand I haven't found quality thrift ones for under$60. I loved the bowls, vases and woven green bowl. I loved the redo on the coffee table. Stellar work.
