I love that you show us what you do with your thrift finds after you buy them! You have such great decorating ideas, and you find great items at the thrift store. I also have that problem about thinking about redesigning a room in the middle of the night!😊
Thank you so much! Yes, it just keeps going, haha :) Now to deal with the other side of the room (there's actually a desk/bookshelf that need attention over there!)
Great job on the guest bedroom! That duvet is beautiful! What a steal! I am going to start paying more attention to those items! I love what you did with the windows. It is very picturesque now! I bet it will be so beautiful in the Fall with all those trees! I love your videos. You really inspire me! Thanks!
Thanks so much! I love to hear that a video has given someone inspiration 😊 And yes the guest room view is fabulous in the spring and summer as well with all the green 💚 Thanks for watching!
I LOVE that the mouse drawing made it in the room - just too cute not too and I'm a fan of big plain windows (no cross hatching, haha) - it looks great.
Thanks! I love the mouse too :) And it's funny, I had already taken the cross pieces off the windows in our dining room, which were the same. Why I didn't immediately think to remove them in the guest room, who knows. But I think it made it look nicer too. Thanks for watching!
Well... Up close I'm not sure they're as neat and clean as they perhaps look on film. But I can't complain! I'd rather them keep their prices low then keep their store spotless. Thanks so much for watching, and I hope that you have a good find or two very soon!
Good items. One thing - the typical placement of beds is so often smack under the windows. Sometimes there's not much choice - but often times against a wall is an option. Makes enjoying view easier & possible sleeping better without seeing light at dawn.
💯 agree. In this case due to the other side (not shown) having our computer desk, and one wall have two closet doors, this is it 🤷🏼♀️ If it wasn't also being used as an office, I would definitely have the bed against the far wall so that you are looking at it as you walk in.
WOW!! You did an amazing job. I can't believe how much you did and changed out on such a small budget. So amazing!! You should be very proud of your accomplishment!
Before you even started talking about how hanging by the rod wasn't the current in thing to do, that was my first choice verses using the tabs. The room looks very pretty.
I absolutely love your ideas, it's amazing what can be done with thrift finds! I like too that you can take those cross bars off your windows, what a difference it makes.

Hi, I am new to your channel. I enjoy watching videos! I live in the Raleigh area, and would like some suggestions of great places to shop, Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, etc. Thank you!
Welcome 🤗 Wow there are so many! We like to make a loop in north Raleigh and also like the Goodwills in Holly Springs/Apex. I really like Dorcas thrift store if you haven't been there!
Love that! Yes mine was specifically planned to be pronounced this way, but I do have it pronounced like Tosha all the time by strangers, so I'm used to that way too :) Thanks so much for watching!
Your goodwill clothing prices are so much lower than ours!!! 😮 All shoes are $5.99 and dresses are $8.99. Jackets are almost $10! That’s what I buy the most, so those are the only ones I have memorized. I think our household prices are the same though.
Oh wow! Yes that's a good bit different. Funny that it's only on clothes and not household... I'd be interested in knowing where you're located if you'd be comfortable sharing. Thanks for watching 😊

During covid my grandson said Grandma you should try u tube. I didnt even know what u tube was all about. Now im a u tube crazy woman. You give me great idead. Love rub and buff, too but usually get antique gold but may have to try European gold do you know the difference?
You are too kind! Thank you so much for watching. Antique gold and European gold are pretty close. Antique gold has a touch more rose tone in it I think. European Gold I think is kind of the most neutral toned gold. Close to a champagne gold. They're both very pretty!
Grear finds! The refresh on the guest room turned out really beautifully.. and at that price.. Wow that's awesome! The curtains look good either way. I need a Troisa thrift store near me! You really scored there! Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing😊
Good morning. I have seen those pottery pieces in Seagrove. I believe it's an apple baker. And, I totally get how you think of to dos all the time. I'm guilty!
I too am a home decor thrifter and thoroughly enjoyed your video, specifically how you showed the way you used the items and the tally of the cost. I do the same thing! I recently pinch pleated a set of IKEA curtains by watching a You Tube video. It was simple and gave inexpensive curtains a high end look. Just an idea I thought might interest you in the future 😊
I love everything in your guest room! Just curious- have you thought about rotating the bed 90° to be on the wall that currently has the blanket ladder? I bet you could find a lovely headboard in a thrift shop and it would open the window up even more to the room. Obviously I don’t know the dimensions of the room to know if this is possible, but it was just a thought.
Yes! In fact that's what I wanted initially. However just off camera there's a desk/computer equipment that needs to stay there, so I couldn't center a bed on that wall without things looking off balance. I get it though! I am still looking into headboards though :)
Yes, I had the same concern but I just throw them in the washer. If I'm just keeping the insert I'll only wash that but if I'm keeping the whole pillow I'll put the whole pillow in. It doesn't harm either polyfill or down filling to put them through a wash cycle or in the dryer. In fact, they're nice and fluffy after! Just make sure you dry them really well so that they aren't still damp on the inside (to avoid mold) and use a low heat setting for any synthetic filling like polyfill.
My first time finding your channel. I will surely subscribe. I am thinking of refreshing my guest room and the ideas are great. Now i have to find a thrift store that has good things at great prices! I rarely look at bedding or pillows but think i should start.
You are super talented when it comes to finding nice things at low prices! I would suggwst adding two fluffy pillows behind your sage pones to fill in the space a bit more :)
Thanks! Yes I think they were? They are the type that are just attached with little tension clips that push at each edge (not built into the frame). So luckily they come right off, yay!
The bedroom update made such a difference! The curtains and the windows really complete the look. I also think that wrapping the tray handles with the leather straps was such a clever idea!
I think you should lower the painting and print over each nightstand so that they tie into the nightstands better, they look too floaty right now (IMO).
The prices are ridiculous. It’s crazy to think that as a person on a low income, now second hand shops / Op shops / thrift stores are now out of my budget.

Hi Tasha…great finds and your home looks gorgeous. The way you put up curtains might not be trendy, but they look so much nicer that way. Our Goodwills are high and we don’t have many thrift stores. For some reason one Goodwill prices anything a little big at 24.99 . It is crazy. I think I told you we go to estate sales for great prices. I love the painting in the living room. I still can not get over the prices being so good. If our Goodwills would get Hearth and Home they would raise the prices probably higher than our Target. I love that younger women like vintage things and thrift. ❤❤❤
Right! I ended up putting them up using the back tabs but I just wanted to show that good old rod pocket looks nice too 😀 I didn't go for clips this time since they were already plenty long and clips make them hang even lower. I'm sorry to hear your stores prices are skyrocketing... That takes ALL the fun out of it 😭
Is it common not to put duvets in a duvet cover in america? I am from England and this seemed really odd to me when i saw it. I loved the duvet cover colour though what a great find.
Thank you for replying, and i hope you didn't think i was being rude, i was genuinly curious. I have binge watched all of your content and this just wasnt super common, but it makes sense now... duvet sets, covers etc are super common place in England, where as comforters aren't and i noticed a difference in bedding styles when i visited family in the states, curiosity got he best of me. Its really pretty. though and your style is lovely. @@TashaatHome
@@tinkerncodigital not at all rude! A valid question 😂 I forgot to mention in the video that I needed an insert, although I meant to. Duvets make more sense to me for washing purposes than comforters 🤷🏼♀️
Your room looks great! You found some really nice things, and the duvet was a big score! We used to live in Holly Springs, and my daughter and I would hit all the goodwills around the area and find the best things! Sadly, I can't find anything good at the goodwill here in South Ga.
Oh thank you! Yes we lived in Cary previously and I agree the thrift stores around there are great! Better than Durham in my opinion, but I still manage to find things. 😊 Thanks so much for watching!

Great finds, especially the duvet cover which is so pretty. That was a super bargain. I’m curious about why you didn’t put the comforter inside the duvet cover. Was the comforter a different size? I’ve recently subscribed and am enjoying your channel and like your style.
Thank you! You are a spot on. I actually meant to explain in the video but guess I didn't. The duvet is a king size and I need to find myself a king comforter or duvet insert for it! It will look even better when it's filled! 😂 Meanwhile the comforter shown is just a twin or full, I think. The bed is a full size but I do like the oversized look of the king duvet on it.
@@TashaatHome I thought so. Good luck finding a king size comforter. FYI, check inside the duvet to see if has ties in the corners and look for a comforter/duvet that has corner ties too so that you can tie them together to avoid the comforter sliding around inside the cover.
I suppose some of it has to do with the luck of what area you live in, but I will say for every thrift store you see me go in and find something, there is one that I go in and find nothing.
I go into some of the same thrift stores as you but you definitely find better than me! I think you have a better eye and go more often! 🙌 Actually I’ve only been in Trosha once and didn’t find a thing! LOL, "I must have gone right before you" :)- I have definitely been in Trosa multiple times where I have left with nothing! I guess it's more about frequency. I'm not sure what I'll do for a video if there's a week when I have found nothing at all all week, haha!
I love to watch you thrifting. You find such beautiful items and display them so well. I am in love with that couch. Do you mind telling me where you got it?

Question - do you wash pillows on washing machine? That is mu apprehension about buying those at thrift stores. How do you launder them?
Yes, I had the same concern but I just throw them in the washer. If I'm just keeping the insert I'll only wash that but if I'm keeping the whole pillow I'll put the whole pillow in. @@TashaatHome I thought so. Good luck finding a king size comforter. FYI, check inside the duvet to see if has ties in the corners and look for a comforter/duvet that has corner ties too so that you can tie them together to avoid the comforter sliding around inside the cover.
How do you have things that nice at your thrift stores?
I suppose some of it has to do with the luck of what area you live in, but I will say for every thrift store you see me go in and find something, there is one that I go in and find nothing.
I go into some of the same thrift stores as you but you definitely find better than me! I think you have a better eye and go more often! 🙌 Actually I’ve only been in Trosha once and didn’t find a thing! You must have been there right before me! 😂 Thank you for the inspiration and saving that little mouse! You are so talented! @@TashaatHome
Thank you! Sure--the sofa was from Wayfair a couple years ago and unfortunately it's no longer for sale. However, I found a very similar one. I love that you can get free samples of the fabrics
@@TashaatHome 😊 thanks
