The very first skit was Chevy emptying a vase, while giving the audience the impression that he was peeing. Contrast that with Conan O'Brien's first skit, where everyone at NBC told him "you'd better be as good as Letterman." The show began before he could hang himself from the pressure.

Darn.....you beat me to it because I was going to post the exact same thing. I will throw another one up there -- The Brady Bunch Variety Hour. Even if you were a fan of the sitcom, this one is brutal. And, if you're on that kick, there's also The Brady Brides which is beyond painful. My vote is, as a form of interrogation, force suspects to sit through these shows and I guarantee that will confess to crimes you weren't even accusing them of.

I would have expected to see a show like "Turn On" on the list. If you've never heard of it, it was ABCs attempt at copying the success of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In". But to have them sell the house and run a hotel, at their age no less (particularly Sophia) was a bad move, not to mention having Rose and Miles split, and "killing off" Stan (even though he faked his death to avoid getting in trouble for tax evasion). #8 ~ Cancelled after only a season and a half. Not two. Fell had trepidations about the Spin-off. Wanted to stay on Three's Company. Was convinced by producers when they informed him that if the Spin-off got cancelled after one season or less, then they (Fell and his character's wife) would be able to return. With that promise put into the Spin-off show contract for both of them, they agreed.
The producers sabotaged any hope of the Spin-off being successful, by later changing its time-slot. It was now competing with a hugely popular show on a rival network. Fell was outraged! Knew the Spin-off was destined for cancellation after that. He felt it was done intentionally. Might have actually been right! When it was cancelled, Fell and his co-star tried to return to Three's Company. Only to be told that their Spin-off show lasted over one season. So, the producers were under no legal obligation to bring them back. They were both out of a job. The spin-off wasn't that great. But it did have its funny moments. Fell's character and another male character already living in that neighborhood, didn't want the Ropers living in the new neighborhood. But their wives loved it there. So both men were stuck. But didn't realize they each wanted the same thing. Scheming took place to get the couple out of neighborhood, which never worked. It was never meant to be good. Just a way to get rid of Fell and his co-star from Three's company. And, to do so legally.

It's basically Three's Company in reverse; these two guys have an apartment but need another roommate to help pay the rent, so they advertise in the newspaper and, lo and behold, this super hot blonde applies. They say okay, but in order not to piss off their girlfriends, she has to say she's their maid. Oh, the hilarity...you can guess what happens: she doesn't know the first thing about how to keep a house, and she spends a lot of time "accidentally" sticking her butt and breasts in their faces and just being a ditzy blonde. This show, like the others in my previous comment, are miles worse than any of the shows on this guy's list.

Which was supposed to be funny. It started making jokes about alien genitals. After ten mins of the first episode. Which was a clear sign of desperation. I gave up after fifteen.
2: The Outpost. Sci fi channel fantasy series. Had the budget and look of Hercules and Xena. But those had smart writing and good acting. This had bad writing and bad acting. Right from early on in the first scene I was thinking 'umm...this isn't very good.' Sixteen mins in lead character is rescued from a monster during the night by knights on horseback. This filmed on location. Then they talk in such extreme close up it was clearly studio bound and both actors weren't in the shot at the same time. I gave up. After twenty mins.

You wanna see bad TV? Try some of these shows:
    Madame's Place
Enos (the Dukes of Hazzard spinoff)
Supertrain (Love Boat meets Hotel, but it takes place on a high speed coast-to-coast train)
Hello Larry (one of the lowest rated shows of all time)
Rango (Tim Conway as a bumbling Texas Ranger in the old west)
Small Wonder (Punky Brewster ripoff, but instead of a little girl it's a little girl ROBOT)
Thunder in Paradise (Baywatch meets Knight Rider, except with a boat instead of a car, and starring Hulk Hogan)
Watch some of these shows, and then we'll talk about bad TV shows, my friend...

You missed Canada' s The Trouble With Tracy ( CTV 1970-1971 Weekdays 130 episodes)The economic and time pressures of producing 130 episodes in a single season (seven shows were filmed every five days) meant cheap, wobbly sets, no outdoor filming, a laugh track instead of a live studio audience, the use of single takes, the reuse of 25-year-old radio scripts, and other shortcuts that resulted in a poor-quality show. Even flubbed lines and bloopers sometimes ended up airing, because the show could not afford retakes.

Huh. I was expecting “Heil Honey, I’m Home!“ to get the top spot. After all, it has been criticized as “the world’s most tasteless situational comedy” (which I’d say is very accurate) and was immediately cancelled right after its pilot episode aired, with a lot of people hating it for trivializing WW2 and making light of one of the most despised men in history.
Another contender I expected was The Fred Show. Not only is the whole premise utterly brain-dead, but Fred is quite easily among the most annoying, exasperating, and headache-inducing characters ever to exist. He’s like Tom Green but younger, louder, shriller, and aimed at kids. This show is actually worse than The High Fructose Adventures of The Annoying Orange, which is truly astonishing.
Though I will say, *THANK YOU* for calling out Barney and Friends! I had to put up with this stupid show for years because it was my sister’s favorite as a kid, and my aunt worked at PBS so she was able to feed her addiction with VHS tapes of the show and various Barney specials (I still sometimes remember the musical numbers from these things out of the blue, especially from the predecessor show, Barney & The Backyard Gang; it’s like random traumatic flashbacks that just hit out of nowhere, and don’t go away until I distract myself with more powerful earworms), merchandise, and tickets to his occasional live shows until she finally, *finally* grew out of it.

But to be honest, they aren't produced with the same standard as regular shows. They are just cheap packages thrown together for home makers to have easy to follow entertainment. Friends for sure. I haven't seen Big Bang Theory other than tiny snippets here and there, I don't know enough about it to have a strong opinion. But growing up my grandpa liked to watch tv during dinner (all night really), and he went through a phase where he loved Friends and I couldn't stand it. It's a dumb show about dumb people. I liked his Frasier phase more, Frasier was so much better. Until Niles and Daphne hooked up, anyway.
At least he had an undying love for the Simpsons so that was consistently on, two back to back episodes every night usually just as we were sitting down to dinner, no matter how many times repeat episodes came on, and I loved The Simpsons. I am very well versed in those 1990s era Simpsons because of that. LOL
