Kuga, you are the best! Something very unique about your approach. I love you 'rescuing' stuff from the machines; and your American idioms are hilarious; and you do it all so very quietly. Arigato beaucoup!
If you haven’t seen other videos of Japan, there’s several million people just in Tokyo that is full of people daily. If you love to be an introvert, you can do it on your own without going to Japan. Travel alone away from people, sit alone away from people, go anywhere by yourself and you can hide in your room alone, anywhere in the world! 😁😊😃
@@JMarieCAlove You can still enjoy another individual’s culture, and still have that introvert time to yourself. It’s called escapism, be bothered by other humans one day, the next…..NOT‼️ In 2024, a lot of people, can’t be trusted. 🙁
I've watched others use this same ferry line, and I'd say the reason for it being so empty was the time of year. People showing trips in the Spring and Summer have had much more populated runs.
Another peaceful journey - it was lovely thank you - I'm sure if i ever go to Japan i will definately know how to use a vending machine and will rescue some things as well :)
Fantastic idea from Japan once again! Vending machines, capsule rooms and spa, entertainment decks.. it would be like an ultimate "beer ship".. Finns would definitely love such.
I just discovered your channel, and really like it. This ferry journey from Fukuoka to Tokyo seems quite epic, especially considering that you can cover the same distance in a short flight, which will also be probably cheaper than taking the ferry. I totally understand, that taking the ferry is a very much and more special experience. However, as I get seasick so easily, that would be nothing for me. Thank you very much for sharing this journey with us. It seems that there were not many other passangers on the ferry, and whilst the vending machines are really cool, a restaurant would have been good in my opinion.
Now this is a cruise except for the not having a bathroom and sink in your private room. Mr kuga san, I really enjoyed the vending machine part because you can pick what you want to eat and you can also buy amenities that usually your not allowed to take home when your on a long train or ferry ship cruise. Arigato gozaimas mr kuga san for your awesome video content on traveling your native nihon, Europe and beyond. Blessings mr kuga san and blessings to all the people of nihon🙏📿✝️⛪️🤲🇯🇵
Thankz Kuga, you never disappoint. Your 70 year old digestive system is much stronger than mine. And your bladder too. Like the Patagonia sweater. Mine is natural.
I am so jealous, Your vending machines are fantastic! We don't have any-thing that even comes close in America. I'm so impressed with the variety of food, it wouldn't get boring. Thanks for another great video!
3 days = First class room, if one can afford it! Your room looked like the Reception area of a 1980s out-of-town business park…..(A wonderful video, as ever, of course!)
It looks so yummy!👌😋 I never use microwave and its hard to believe that vending machine food could be tasty but it's actually mouthwatering to watch😛 And it's so fresh and clean everywhere, I think it's a big plus for the appetite. Thanks for the review, you're doing a great job with your videos
I might be wrong but the reason why there aren't any people at the check in area is because this ship is mainly to transport vehicles across japan so most passengers embark from inside the ship instaed of at the check in area since they drive their car inside the ship and then get off.
Damn, those prices for frozen food are insane! I'd expect fresh street food at those prices(note to self: buy a bunch of bentos from the supermarket if ever going on a vending machine ferry)
Could you please let us know about those two Galaxy Express 999 statues? I was in Kokura about a year ago and didn't see them... Are they in the station?
i wanna spend eternity on this ferry so i can enjoy all the drinks and delicious snacks. mr kuga-san did you by any chance during your train travels in japan get to ride the SC Maglev hypersonic 603KMH (375 MPH) train. it is being constructed on the chuo shinkansen line and they only have nagoya to osaka to tokyo half done and the rest will be completed by 2045🚄🚅. keep on traveling and be safe
I have watched his videos and a couple other videos of another RUclipsr going on a ferry boat around Japan and the ferry’s are practically empty. I see about four or five people or maybe a few more but every place that’s full of tables and chairs, no one is there. Is there any time those ferry boats are full to capacity? It’s great sometimes if you don’t like crowds even on a boat, but how do these ferry boats keep in business? I really do enjoy your videos. I’ve only been on one visiting a friend in Toronto, Canada years ago but it was less than an hour ride. There’s ferry boats used in the state of Washington, just two states from where I live in California, and of course in San Francisco but those are also short boat rides. I need to travel to Japan! ☺️
Another wonderful trip! Immaculately clean ferry boat and facilities. Vending food looks awesome, better than many restaurants! Tokyo, spotless and no homeless bums defecating everywhere. What happened to America?
I've seen a video that explained that place is a tribute to him which explains the statues, etc.. There is actually more there than was shown in this video.
They don't have wifi so you will spend more at the vending machines and slots .. haha. I would not be able to live off machine foods need my fresh cooked variety but no doubt many people could. Bushyboy Oz.
36 sind aber nur anderthalb und nicht drei Tage.🤦♂️ Und wenn ich mir vorstelle, anderthalb Tage von diesem Automaten-Fraß leben zu müssen, wird mir schlecht! 🤢🤮

9:37 the preset microwaves ARE A GENIUS‼️ That way no guessing involved on the right temperature, no over cooking or under cooking.
Always love your solo travel content. Definitely can't wait for more to come.
Japan looks like an introverts dream…
Indeed, when you don’t want to be involved with a bunch of people, everyone keeps to themselves.
That's bcs it is. I went to Japan In December and it was heavenly for a Introver like me.

3:35 mark, " Yay Kuga isn't alone on this huge ship!" thanks for sharing :)
Honestly, thank you. This looks really fun and a cool way to do something interesting and different during one’s trip.

aaah at 1:30 remembering the Galaxy Express 999 movies, such classics! thanks for the video!

Selected route less and ease inland traffic. best vlog
I like the vending machine idea as don't have to worry if too late for breakfast.
I don't like reading captions but I appreciate that you use captions rather than computer narration. I absolutely despise computer narration.
Another great video! Such an interesting ride. Japan's vending machines seem to have such a wide selection of quality foods.
久我さん、本当にありがとうございました!!! 👍
Awesome videos thank you

Enjoy your videos. Are there translations available for the vending machines for non Japanese speakers? Thanks!
Thank you Kuga, I really enjoyed the video.
Very nice. Thank you.
Let's take a look a̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ along the room FTFY 😄
Good value and good fun!
Love the videos I’m hoping to one day visit your beautiful country
Thank you for the trip! 😀
Nice!
This is so cool
Neat video, gotta try this sometime.
That was a beautiful sunset your second night. What are the first class cabins like? Thank you Kuga!
Great trip. Bit curious, Which one do you prefer, onboard restaurant or Vending Machine? since both of them have Advantages and Disadvantages.
Mais um video top demais gostei bom
good price, good conditions... finally cool option 👍
I enjoyed watching this video. Does this ferry line offer a return journey?
You not the only one that sets alarms like that. 24:29
Where you been. Haven’t shown up in my sub feed in like a year it seem. 😮😊
This looks fun 😊
About 15:05, an old VW Beetle parked down by the terminal.
❤ I love the vending machines.
Verry nice 🎉
Thank you
wauu nicee view in japan they are so many place we like to find vending machine and you find it in ships wauu thats wild like western say

22:00 if you ever wanted to see and hear what Kuga does on all these trips alone in his room at night
24:28 That looks just like my own phone's alarm list, hah. (I get up at around 4 for work.)
Looks like the weather was in your favour!
This is another go as you eat adventure! All about food and what's wrong with that? Think you read my mind!
オーシャン東九フェリーは数年前まで、2日目の朝&昼食のみ、徳島港付近で掛けウドンと巻き寿司or稲荷寿司のセットを出してました。
が、それも廃止され乗船客がガクンと減少しました。
Must be nice for you to get back to familiar food.🙂
👍👍

I am always telling my husband if I win the lottery we are moving to Japan and getting an old house in the country. He just laughs.

Bonjour 👋🇫🇷
Would have loved to see the Tokyo night arrival into port.

An orangutan occupied the White House for 4 years.
Capitalism.
Way back in 2001 I took the hydrofoil from Fukuoka to Busan, Korea. I wonder if it was the same ferry port. Probably.
No it wasn't. He said in the video... the port was Shin Moji, he had to take a train and bus there from Fukuoka.
Any explanation to all the Matsumoto Leiji memorabilia in the beginning ?
I've seen a video that explained that place is a tribute to him which explains the statues, etc.. There is actually more there than was shown in this video.
15:40 what type of scones were those?
chocolate chip. 👍🏻
that’s how i set my alarm too
21:51 relatable bro
8:43 You might have to define "free" here....
Free from the machine. That should have been obvious.
That would be "liberated" from the vending machine :)
@@englishatheart It was a joke how it was going from machine to tummy.
Hello!!
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO THANK YOU FOR POSTING IF YOU BRING YOUR CAT PET WITH YOU IN A CARRIER IS IT OK TO TRAVEL LIKE THIS

How can they keep running with. So few passengers
Thank you for doing a small vegetarian one
Did you feel seasick?

You have beautiful skin
Are you doing enjoy your video? Were you the only person on that ferry? And don’t you get lonely hello from New York City
clean, no tagging..........wow
Rats, I was hoping you'd get off at Tokushima, ir was a beautiful place to live!
Not sure I would like to do 3 days of eating vending machine food, but still interesting nonetheless!
Not sure I would consider 36 hours as 3 days but maybe time passes slower where you live.
@@roger0929 the title of the video says 3 days which is where I got that from, but yeah he’s not counting the full days
That is one expensive Vending machine man. If you go to the Yoshinoya 700 yen you can get a full course meal.
Three days eating vending machine food: Nope.
Y la cama donde esta
21:45 WHAT flavour??

"Hmmm" means questionable, or suspicious. If you want to say "It tastes good" or "delicious" you want "Yummy" or "Yum"
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

It's not a party ship 😅
3 days and living on vending machines no thanks you got a lot of guts lol
Kuga, are you shaking or the boat? Seriously dude, your hands are shaking
What's the reason you want this ferry cancelled?????????
