I was a sailor on a warship. When I finished my service time on that warship, I vowed that I would never get on a ship again. But if I am to spend a night on this ferry, I would not mind getting on a ship again. Quiet and spacious. The ferry looks better than a cruise ship to me.
What strikes me as one of Japan's most outstanding feature is how most people (read everyone) are so extremely courteous and considerate of not just visitors but also of each other. Etiquette and efficiency is of course top notch, and while I'm sure Japan, like other countries, must have its problems, its people have seemed to keep the positives alive..which is what makes Japan so special in my eyes. I've heard stories from my grandaunts, dating some 30 years back, about how even strangers will rush to help if someone on the road is in trouble or distress. And we all know the system of Japanese slippers/shoes, that are kept facing outwards, making it easier to put on while exiting a room. It is one of my life's biggest wishes to be able to visit Japan one day. What a great video, and how gentle you were with opening/closing doors, walking, etc... Thank you for sharing with us :)
Hello from Austin, Texas USA! I am loving your videos, they are very relaxing. I have never visited Japan (although I did fly through once) and have always wanted to go. That cabin is unbelievably nicer than the cruise ship cabins I’ve been on in the US. As far as transportation in my country goes, the one thing I do like having once or twice a year is an Interstate Highway trip. There is something about watching the city fade away into countryside that is mesmerizing and soothing. I also like the fact that you can drive for a while, stop when you want to stop, and control the pace of your trip however you wish.
This is the third video of yours I've watched. I have to say I really enjoy how you put the focus on the experience vs yourself while using captions to describe things and let your viewers know how much you're enjoying yourself. Keep up the good work. :)
こんにちは from Sydney, Australia. Thank you for your videos. I really enjoy them and find them informative. Thank you for the English subtitles. My parents were business people and loved touring Japan in the 80`s. When Japanese delegations would visit my home country of New Zealand, we would entertain them in our family home and invited them to try both Western and Japanese cuisine... which pleasantly surprised them. I also hope to visit Japan one day. ありがとうございました and さようなら.
I have been home for 9 months because covid will kill me. I am also too disabled to travel to far. I wanted to say thank you for this window on a land I have always wanted to see..and for giving me a chance to see it...and to travel through you...while we are home in Quarentine
It's weird to ask, but since it's been 9 months since you posted this comment I wanted to ask if you're doing fine and staying safe. Hope you're watching plenty more of these videos and staying strong during this.
I have never seen a ferry like that before, looks like a cruise ship, so nice. Where I am from a Ferry is a small boat with everyone on the same deck the whole ride, and no rooms.
Ferries come in all sizes. Ones that traverse long distances are large, with state rooms. You’ll find these in Europe and Asia. They usually operate overnight.
I wish someday when this pandemic is over, we can already be allowed to travel from here in the Philippines to Japan, one of my favorite places on earth.
Honestly, it's nicer than any cruise ship I've been on. I don't think you would find that much space in the stateroom or on the balcony except in the most luxurious suites. A "balcony stateroom" on, say, Norwegian cruises tends to have just enough room for two chairs and a tiny table, and the bathroom is about the size of a linen closet.
In New Zealand we call that a barge where you drive on and stay in your car, or walk on and sit in along the sides, our ferry doesn't have rooms but has lounges etc
Your channel got recommended to me and boy, am I happy it did. Your wholesomeness of enjoying every part of the journey made me stay. Keep up the good work!
Your videos are so soothing and informative at the same time. I’ve never been on a ferry before, it seems a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I just wanted to take the time to tell you that I love your videos. It really shows the beauty of Japan. From an honey to modern you really capiture the true essence of everything you record. I kind of love everything Japanese so I’ll always be subscribed to your Chanel. And I’ll also have this translated just in case you can’t understand
Like it. The fabric on the bus seats there is the same colour and pattern as the fabric on the coaches here in Ireland. Seriously, why on earth would you choose to fly - unless speed is of the essence - when you can travel by ship which is far more relaxing and serene.
It's going to 12:00 am.. Aniki you are amazing and the way you make the videos.. you bring me to a whole new level of calm and peace.. You are my favorite RUclipsr and a Blogger you are different unlike others who talks bla bla whole time it's irritating to watch anything on others vlogs.. trust me they should learn from you.. how to make beautiful video.. I really want to settle down in Japan Aniki and I'm sending you lots of love from India ♥️and hope this channel grow more and more and you keep make those beautiful videos... Thankyou for letting me experience Japan from my home.. ♥️🤗
Really love your videos! Maybe you could also consider making a conclusion is n the video showing your travel route? For people who don't really know the geography in Japan, this will help. Arigato!
I love all of your videos, only with natural sound but very informative. Almost once a year me and my family travel to Japan, at this pandemic time, we miss Japan very much. Thank you for your video, it reminds us that we have lot of fun memories in Japan.
The best bit is probably the air conditioning for sure right? Whoever did a HVAC installation for every room was a genius. Even on the Marella Discovery 2, a decent sized cruise ship, they didn't have decent AC for the rooms.
@@dumbbellenjoyer I missed that part about the HVAC system but it would be cool to see the setup. Typically we would use so large HV chillers to cool down water before sending that off to the actual AC units that then condition the air for the rooms. The more important the cabin... The fewer cabins are on that AC station 😏 and no the captain and crew are not considered important for the most part 😆
I am glad I found Kuga's Travel. Kuga's vlogs are the morning (or evening 😉 after) a sensory overloaded weekend. There is an ASMR quality to the vlogs that is definitely calming and soothing. I'm not sure if this is great editing or a reality that has a 5 on sound and a color palette warmth on 6. The camera angles are reverential and gives me a feeling of respect for the views. Nothing appears out of place or happenstance. Except for people. Kuga gets 4 stars (of 5) on my vloggermeter. Great job! I wonder if Kuga offers guided tours (music included). 🙂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful video. I am deeply jealous of what japan has to offer travel wise. I loved the shinkansen while I visited back in January. The subway system was most efficient. I love my country but yours willa lways hold a special place. Can't wait for this virus garbage to be over so I an return. If I ever had another place to choose, Japan is it.
I enjoy your videos very much. I took some of the trains and ferries when I visited Japan four years ago, such as the high speed train from Tokyo to Kanazawa. I can’t wait to come back to your beautiful county! Thank you very much.
Once I've been on an overnight ferry from Beppu to Osaka. That ship wasn't nearly as beautiful as this one. It did also have a public bath, which was very interesting :) I was in a simple private single room, but at least I did have my own sink and a small desk. It was still a brilliant experience. We left at 19:00 from Beppu and arrived at Osaka at 7:00 the next morning.
I enjoy watching your videos. I’ll probably never make it to Japan this lifetime, but I am enjoying the glimpses of Japan through your fantastic videos. They are beautifully recorded, the information is right on; I have watched many of your videos, and they are all wonderfully informative and just beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing! 🤗
Wow, honestly the fact that they included a hair tie in the amenity bag is what really shows me how thoughtful they have been. As a woman with very long hair, there is nothing more annoying than when you lose your hair tie or it snaps and you don't have a spare. The people who run this ship are obviously incredibly detail-oriented.
For tourists, this is often cheaper. You leave in the evening, have a hotel stay on the ship, and arrive in the morning. Very efficient and you don’t need to pay for a hotel stay. Otherwise, you pay for the flight, get there in the late evening, then pay another $250 for a hotel.
Thank you for the video. I live in Southeast Alaska. Travel on ferries and small 6-seater airplanes is very common here. The Sunflower Sapporo is much nicer than our ferries. The rooms on ours are very small. Our ferries also have simple cafeterias. I've been to Hokkaido many times because my wife is from Sapporo. Maybe we should try the ferry next time.
Yes I have been on a ferry years back then. Shorter trips around 3-4 hours to reach to Tioman Island from the port town of Mersing. It is a beautiful island ❤️👍 I love this video. Informative and provides alternative ways to travel around Japan ❤️👍
Ah, so relaxing. Love this video. The last cruise ship I was on was during a hurricane 20 years ago in Florida. Not fun, but at least the captain kept us safe and informed. Food wasn't good either. :(
While I thought the menu for each meal was terrible, that has to be the best bathroom I have ever seen in a video doing these presentations of Japan. It was no super fancy or anything, it was just well laid out, large and all of the functions were in one place. Very appealing to me.
I love to watch your videos. Especially the ferry videos. I see things I've never seen before. Like your accommodation on a ferry. They don't know that in Europe. I've been up and down dozens of times between the Netherlands and the UK and they are certainly cruise ship worthy. Even once took a ferry from Hoek van Holland to Hull, because it was wind force 12. Never enjoyed it so much. Keep going. I enjoy your videos.
So luxurious. Nothing like the overnight ferries I was on years ago travelling from Ireland to France. Can’t remember if they even had showers, yet alone a bath or a toiletry bag full of goodies or a balcony!
Thank you for your relaxing videos and the English translation and dollar prices from my view that particular part of Japan does not seem expensive thank you
I get motion sickness 😩 so I would be miserable and throwing up from the movements of the ship and the trains you always take ( the motion sick pills I take if I have to travel by ship or train always knock me out and I would just be asleep the whole time and miss everything lol). But at least I can experience it through your eyes.. thanks 😊 🙏
7:51 You know it is beyond clean when Japanese said "super clean".

This video is created with perfection, so are your other videos - quiet and informative. Keep up the good work.
Yes
As many times as I have been to Japan, the prices never cease to amaze me. They simply make my head spin!
I'm so impressed how you close the doors without slamming. So considerate of your fellow travelers. In the US very few care; doors slam all the time.
Good manners don’t exist in the USA
@@georgiamorena2145 They certainly do where I live 🤔

What an amazing trip! I had such a good time!! Thank you for taking us with you. My goodness what luxuries.
I’m amazed there was a bathtub in the restroom. Most ships have showers except if you’re in the suites. Lovely room. The entire ship looks wonderful.
I love how everything in Japan is so neat and orderly. The room was awesome, bigger and nicer than most hotels. Thank you for sharing. I miss Japan.
Since no one is traveling at the moment, its great to see travel videos, with a lot of details. Better then the UK ferries.
It's also massively more expensive than a UK ferry at £335 for an overnight
