Professors in our university don't allow phones in classes so I had to use an old calculator I found home. Your video saved me because I had no idea how to use it on the upcoming exam.
its quite strange there are only some limited models allowed these days, yes some are capable to cheat by storing cheatsheets, but TO NOT allow simple programmable thing is weird, as I 53 old now, was using primitive 45 steps programmable Ireland's Calcul PSR-98e (probably Citizen OEM) back in 1989 to write simple script to generate X,Y coords for polar graph of PID-regulator to be physically drawn on milimeter paper, just during the final HS exam in "automation systems course"... this mechanical help of machine helped a lot :-)
I just recently bought fx-991ms. I am glad I see this video to understand more about my calculator. Hope I will use this until my board exam in the next few years. .
Just bought this calculator and I really appreciated this video!!! Especially the chapters so that I could click through to the parts I need. Thanks so much!
I've been watching your channel for a month now. I have developed this urge to buy all the calculators you've used on your tutorial. From the Philippines.
At minute 15:06 when pressing the "a b/c" button, it is not possible to display the The "standard" format , this only works on calculators with a natural display(ES PLUS series and outers) , here is the observation of the guy in the video.
Excellent explanation and the quick index makes the full video quite useful. I wonder if there is any difference against the former FX991MS, besides the housing and display updates.
the video has chapters shown on the timeline. Just click and you see all chapters. I am not sure if this calcualtor has LCM or not. so find it there if there is any.
I already watched the full vid and it only taught on proper & improper fraction. My point is the format of fraction is like with fx 991ex and if you mind, can u tell me what chapter on the video? Thanks for the response.
can you post the battery description? any battery model number, size? I bought the calculator and would like to keep some battery as spare incase it runs out.
Hi...could you please let me know how to change the setting on my calculator to show the correct result in decimals. I have the setting at normal mode but if I divide 1 by 2, I get 500 instead of 0.5. .If I do any operations, the result is multiplied by 1000. Could you please help? Thanks so much. Spencer
it is not 500 but you have also m on the screen which means milli so 500milli=0.5 you are in Engineering mode. I turn Engineering mode OFF. or simply reset it.
didn't know the word "surd" so I checked it. it means exact value like like 2/35 etc. I have almost all scientific calculators. Just tested on a few and only Casio ES series can do it like FX-115ES, FX-991ES ruclips.net/video/-ldSlx5VMo0/видео.html, FX-300ES and FX-991EX ruclips.net/video/wOwCf3Kd8-4/видео.html and see the photo here equaser.com/images/casio_calculators_square_root_exact_value.html
I don't understand how to calculate sec^2(x) or any other reciprocals involving exponents? My other calculator works as 1/cos(x)^2, but this one is the only one I'm allowed to use for exams, and it doesn't give the same answer. For example, in radians mode sec^2(pi/4) = 2, but when I input 1/(cos(pi/4)^2) into this calculator, it gives me 1.23. I've tried 1/(cos^2(pi/4)) as well, and it just gives an error. I have it in radians mode to confirm that.
Hi, thanks for the lessons. I have Casio fxx-991es plus. When I perform 217*8.1, I get 17577/10. Why do I get the output in fraction terms? Also when I performed one of your calculations 6/(4*5), output is displayed as 3/10.
Hellow... But to use binary ,hex, Dec for that when I press the MODE ,base option doesn't show... It's shows COMP , SD ,REG, DEG, RAD ,GRA.. without base how am I supposed to convert hex to Dec or other
@@equaser I already watched the full vid and it only taught on proper & improper fraction. My point is the format of fraction is like with fx 991ex and if you mind, can u tell me what chapter on the video? Thanks for the response.
@@equaser hi, absolutely great tutorial, but at the 26:05 when you describe DMS conversions, you probably missed mistake(???) ... (I am comparing this with canon f-715sg because some your colleague described how to use casio 82ms to solve quadratic equations and on this device it is little different ... only curiosity, if they have the same chip, because UI looks similar... but I also here found FEW STEALTH differences ... ) - you are entering number using DEG key, while its usual as on GOOD old machines - so 5.1835 and THEN the "DEG" key... at least here on F-715sg it IS so ... result 5d11m06s ....... BUT IS it mistake when you then MIX it with "a b/c" key, which has nothing to do with DEG/DMS ?? I like your tutorial a lot, trying to finally grasp the stupidity of new calculator (AND theirs subtle differences ... !!) till now, rally ... but this single thing scratches my head ))))
hi, well, I will leave my confusing comment here....))) finally got it and it works on f-715sg the same, you were right, of course :-) ... and its interesting that "a b/c" key does the same for conversion as DEG key too ... interesting;
You are welcome. The best thank you for me is to subscribe to my channel. Your subscription is stamp of approval and my videos will be suggested to more people and this will help me. I appreciate it. thanks❤️
This calculator can do it and I have explained it. I checked the slides for the video and it was there. I should not reply to any question about this calculator as this includes everything and nothing is left out. But I did thinkin I might have missed it.
Always stay in mode 1. If you need to solve polynomial then change the mode. If you need stat then change the mode and do the calculations Jen go back to mode 1.
if this is full manual, then you should not have any question. I don't remember anything about this calculator. Either you skipped the video or this calculator does not have that features.
But you said 1/x and even if you are looking for T=1/f you can set it as A=1/F where A is period and f is frequency control . The calculator then will ask you to enter f. I have given example for that.
please watch . For this video there should not be any questions . I have given example of power in the first 10-15 minuets. Everything that calculator can do is shown with example. This is full manual including how to replace the battery and specs.
what do you mean MAT mode? do you mean matrix mode? keep watching or use chapters to just to Matrix section. I have explained everything there is no question to ask. I just replied out of respect.

why would you need a calculator?? abolute of -8 is just 8, absolute of -45345345345 is just 45345345345 . it converts negative numbers to positives

What is double value?
at 35:40, if there are only 2 numbers given to convert, do we always assume the hours to be zero and take them as minutes and seconds?
for any missing value, you must enter 0. yes.
