I love Charlotte Tilbury Elixir and her Magic cream !Since I have been using them which has been over one month and I have received many compliments on how great my skin looks (radiant ,even tone and no blemishes)plus I must that my skin feels so hydrated like never before !❤️Charlotte Tilbury products and they are not as pricey as other brands that I like and use such as Chantecaille ,Chanel and Guerlain !
This was SUCH an in depth review. Thank you Stephanie! I have been using it since it was released, and admittedly I've prob been using too much, but I'm not mad about the result! I do like this serum- It's only been a positive addition to my skincare regimen!

Thanks for your review, Stephanie. When I see those very long ingredients lists, I often wonder if there is enough of any key ingredients to be effective. I would love to see someone discuss that.
I've loved it so far and have a similar skin type. I also love the new Light version of the Magic Cream. It's great for the summer and doesn't feel heavy at all but still retains all the things I like about the original.

Thank you for this Stephanie! Like you, I have mature rosacea prone skin. Although I love Charlottes cosmetics, I decided a while ago to only use medical grade skin care. I hate when cosmetic companies add fragrances like essential oils and explain them away as “natural”. They can cause long term inflammation that you won’t see right away. I’ve got a host of Medical grade products that are safe and effective. When I want a glow I’ll mix a cosmetic product into my foundation 😊👌. Xoxo 😘 Deborah
I tried it for a month and a half. I use her Magic and Magic Night creams. I found this made very little difference. I have normal to dry skin. As far as diminishing crows feet? The Botox stays. But I am older than 45!! ;)) Thanks, Stephanie.
I've had a little free sample forever. And yesterday I tried it. Not the entire envelope; just a bit, as I have seen C.T. do when she's demonstrating her products. That's why I was looking for a review today. One use. And I could see the difference today. But, I cannot use any creams around my eyes because I noticed my under eyes were puffy today and that was the only product I had applied. I'm going to buy some now. My skin looked quite smooth when I looked in the mirror today. Smooth and clear. Isn't that something! I have to watch products that I apply like crazy because they can give me an instant negative reaction. Including C.T.'s stuff. Thanks for your 80 day trial. You really went the distance. That's my first time using a serum in my life. I never even knew what they were for.
Thank u so much for taking the time for this in-depth review. I bought the serum and magic crm but, because of the cost, only use 2x/wk. I agree, the serum gives an instant glow to the skin. Though I don't have sensitive skin, I'm also leary when I see so many ingredients in a product. I generally steer away from products that have sulfates, parabens and phathalates and many of CT products contain 1 or more of these 3 "no no's".

i cant decide on getting this one or the clarins bright plus. i tried the clarins one in a free sample and it seemed to work well for me, but i'm hearing great things about the magic serum. any opinions?
Your skin looks beautiful. I have mixed thoughts on this serum, but I only use it sporadically - I tend to mix up my routine from night to night! I just wish she wouldn't scent her skincare so heavily - it doesn't cause me problems but I feel like I can taste it 😅 Particularly with magic cream!

I think the 5 crystals are: SILICA, QUARTZ POWDER, AMETHYST POWDER, RUBY POWDER, GOLD. Silica is a quartz compound. This review is awesome. I actually see a huge difference in the after. Was it the same lighting and room?
Same room and time of day but since I deal with natural lighting, it was as close as I could get it, but wasn't exact.
I bought the serum and, for whatever reason, was prepared to be nonplussed by it. I also tried to not like it- I don’t know why because I LOVE her skincare and makeup. Anyway, I am almost finished with my bottle and have already reordered and my 2nd bottle is on it’s way. I too, have not had any random breakouts since using this serum and have noticed that my excess pinkness of my skin is evened out and the rosacea flare on the tip of my nose is now gone. My pores look soooo much better too! I, at almost 49, can go without makeup now and still feel beautiful. Lastly, since using this serum I have several ppl asking what I use and commenting on how beautiful and glowy my skin is. I think Charlotte must really be dealing in the “Magic”. I also use her cleansing duo which I was surprised by because it cleaned out my clogged, dirty pores.

Did you use any other serums while using this like a retinol or vitamin A?
I, too, have been trying this for the last couple months. I overused it as well at the beginning and as much as I hate it, I’m doing the Instagram thing where I drop it directly on to my face but it works! The scent reminds me of Aveda. I have had a bump on my cheek for years that is what I’ve thought is a chronically clogged pore that is greatly diminished now and I attribute that to the niacinamide.
I always wonder about the baseline studies they publish. “95% feel their skin is more hydrated.” But what were they using before? Were the study participants using a skincare regimen prior or were they living in the desert and using nothing on their face? I always wonder about that.
Do you think the Vit C in this is enough or do you think an additional Vit C serum is warranted?
I'm not sure about the Vitamin C part Amy. That's kind of obscure with this product. I agree with you on the studies!

I bought this when you got it but have not been consistent in using it as you have been. First of all, I’ve been using too much product because that sticky sensation has been hanging around too long after the application. I’ll back it down & see if I don’t like that better. I love CT makeup products but not her skincare. I have oily, non sensitive skin that rarely reacts to products. My skin loves niacinamide too. My skin does not like CT skincare! So I wasn’t even tempted to buy this. I knew that even if my skin didn’t hate it, it wouldn’t be something that I would want to use long term. So it was an easy pass for me.
I really appreciated this review. You must let me know if you have found a serum that helps soften the deep set forehead lines!!

Please try Aurelia probiotic concentrate. It is supposed to help with deeper, older wrinkles. In my experience, it does.

I've read the ingredient list and it wasn't supported by peer reviewer evidence based studies. Pass.
That’s why I stated what I did about studies before going into it. Most non-medical grade skincare isn’t studied that way.
So, then you’ve passed on most of not all non-medical grade skin care products? What do you use instead?
Patrice Drew even “medical grade” is meaningless and not regulated, besides tretinoin and sunscreens, people can made the most outraged claims they want with no consequences or standards, inclusive “medical grade”.
@@StephanieMarie I can't justify paying that price for something that "may" work. If you want to charge those prices it would be prudent to have evidence to it's claims.....IDK. That is my two cents. I'm a nurse and that's how I roll.

I have been using this serum as well and funny, I had the same thought when I got halfway through the bottle so quickly..but I really never had a serum absorb as quickly into my skin and I feel like the smoothing I have seen is really remarkable. My sister, who will buy Olay and thinks I’m crazy for amount I invest in my skin, bought it as well. She loves it. I ordered another one and will see after that how I feel...using a bit less. I want to try tretinoin (number 11’s) seem to be staying Ughh)but suffer from rosecea as well. Any thoughts??
Hi Kristen! Expression lines like 11s and deep forehead lines are caused from muscle movement. Skincare doesn't help those much unfortunately. Botox is what relaxes those. :)

I only removed the serums from my normal routine and kept using treatments and everything else. My am and pm routines are in my skincare routine playlist in my playlist tab on my main channel page. :)

Tracy Canganelli Consider, the Estée Lauder firming and wrinkle serum. Also, the Kiehl’s line reducing concentrate. They make the skin feel more dry, but subtle and softening effect.

Your results do look good, likely due to pore refining from the niacinamide. I have an aversion to anything from Charlotte Tilbury. Part of that has to do with all the fluff in her product marketing and because the price point for her cosmetics is exorbitant for such ordinary, run of the mill ingredients and often with added fragrance. I have just been underwhelmed with anything I have tried from her line. Now give me Hourglass cosmetics and Timeless Skin Care anyday! Whatever the case, thank you for such a thorough trial and review of this product and I am glad it turned out well for your skin.
I would normally think it was the niacinamide, but I've been using niacinamide for a long while already. That's why I was kind of surprised. Yet at the same time, I feel the need to try something else now. :)

I’ve tried some here and there that I’ve enjoyed. My last nighttime eye cream was Perricone and was really nice!
Serum and masks I've tried over the years but for me I'd rather skip altogether these days - price and performance from many brands just don't justify the time and money and that goes for CT too 🤔.

I am using this serum since 2 months too and i feel almost the same what you feel. By the way these have been winter months so i have to see how it perdorms in spring nad summer.
I love how it feels on my skin. I hate the price and only using three drops in the morning it looks like I'll run out by the 14th week. I think it's done something good to my skin but.. stupid me introduced a couple of new things to my pm routine so it's hard to tell. So my plan is to use it up, keep using the other products and see how my skin does. Then I'll decide if I really need it or if I've been bewitched by the hype 😂

I don't know how good the skincare benifits are, what I can tell you is my makeup applys and looks amazing when I use this serum.
I honestly think that‘s what it is- a liquid hydrating primer. I dont think it‘s necessary a skincare serum.
For the wrinkles- the only thing that works is botox.

I just find with having 66 ingredients and the second ingredient is 5%, means that the beneficiary ingredients will be minute. Then when you take into account the amount you use each application, means it really is so diluted I can't see how these ingredients could be effective.
