The only magic is Charlottes bank account. I cant justify these prices. Thank you for review
🤣😂
🤣😂😁 true
The best comment ever👍
I can’t believe I’m saying this… despite seeing the negative reviews on the Magic Cream and Elixr… I still decided to try the products because of the countless good reviews, I wanted to see it for myself. Im not sensitive to fragrance but I have dry combo skin… THE SERUM AND MAGIC CREAM MADE MY SKIN LOOK LIKE A BABY WITHOUT MAKE UP. I can’t say other products can do the same for me… I tried a lot of skincare but these are one of the best in delivering instant results. Personally for me, after testing the product for myself… I don’t get the hate because the results on my skin make the products worth the buck!
Exactly! My skin looks amazing! Looks younger. Brighter. Even. People ask me what kind of routine I’m using. Let them miss out, girl.
I love how much time and research you put into your videos. I tend to trust your reviews over others because you don’t seem to be swayed one way or the other to give a persuaded review. Thanks for all your content.
Thank you Amanda!! 💕
Most often times when a brand does makeup products only and then does skincare its normally not good. Good to hear your thoughts. Thanks Jena!
Thanks for watching! Stay safe 💕
I honestly love the magic cream..it has made my skin so soft and so glowy.
Thanks Jena. I love your ingredient analysis videos. Brands would rather hang themselves than to call attention to their potentially irritating ingredients, and most of us can't navigate the ALIEN language of the ingredient list! ❤
I was going to try this however I find her descriptions of her products over the top which puts me off, She hypes her stuff up so much that you get disappointed when they don’t live up to the hype 😕
Skielah Jayne I couldn’t agree more!
It has gotten to be crazy over the top lately hasn’t it! 🙈
Over the top for sure!
Jena Froese SO crazy. And with all of the jargon she uses its too much for me 😂😂like ma’am what is replexium?
Laura Libner thank you, honestly can’t cope with all the jargon she uses 😩
I love Charlotte Tilbury makeup but I've never been interested in her skin care, nor do I think I'm going to start. I prefer to get up my skin care from companies dedicated to that purpose, and I can get those at a lower price tag. Thanks for this video Jena!
Thanks girl!! ❤️
I’m so glad you checked the serum out first and gave a heads up. I love CT too and prefer her makeup but not her skincare. Thanks Jena!
Yay!! Thanks for watching :) I love her makeup too!
I actually love her skincare, the eye cream, magic cream, serum and night magic cream has changed my skin like no other products have. Skincare is different for everyone but I’ve actually seen such a positive different on my skin since I started using just her skincare products. I am so curious to try the lip oil next
Omg i was hoping you’d review this product and your opinion on this 😄
Yay! ❤️
I loved this video and how you explained the ingredients, I’d love to see more of this
So happy you recognize that fragrance and essential oils are not great for the skin! Really makes me excited to watch your uploads knowing that your reviews reflect that. Thanks for the digging and educating your audience.
Once again, our girl Jena, comes through for us. Thank you for the review. My skin is like yours. It does not like essential oils or citrus oils. This product will be a pass for me. And Thank you so much for keeping us informed. 🙏🏻❤️
I love when you do these kinds of videos.
Hi Jenna! I’m sooo happy that you are helping to make the general public aware of not only the existence of fragrance in skincare products but also it’s ability to irritate the skin! Bravo 👏🏼! Unfortunately I have learned later in life, but now I make sure and avoid Essential oils always! I’m a little sad that Tatcha has fragrance because I do adore their products. It’s very difficult to find skincare formulated without hidden fragrances. I find La Roche Posay and Avene are excellent! I also love Dr Sam’s products! Xoxo 😘 Deborah
Oooo I couldn’t agree more Deborah! Tatcha’s ingredients absolutely broke my heart! Some nice ingredients with fragrance then added.. ugh :( so close lol!
Ive been using this serum all week and my skin is sooo soft and my acne is going away. Its also very moisturizing. ALSO, my pores are tightened, no product has ever done that for me. I know Charlotte teamed up with dermatologists and experts to create this, she really knows her stuff. Personally, I highly recommend it.
This was an eye opening video! Wish I knew about this about a month ago!! oh well, live and learn! Thank you for the valuable information!! 💞💞💞
I’ve been working really hard at cleaning up my skincare, and this one will not cut it for me. Thx Jena ( 🇨🇦)
Thank you so much for your review! I had been thinking about buying a few of these items
u have such a katty laughter everytime you mention an ingredient lol
This was great. I agree completely about the importance of ingredients.
Thank you! :)
Love your honest video's Jena, thanks so much!!!👍🤩😘
I really love her skin care. The magic cream works perfect for me. With the serum I am on day 7 and I live it!
Right her magic cream is so thick and rich 😍
Dear Jena, Thank you for this very informative presentation. I am also avoiding fragrance and essential oils. I am 55 and have very sensitive skin. I liked how you read through the ingredients and explained them.
And to think I wanted to buy the Magic cream for my daughter during the Sephora sale😬. You have a new fan in Austin Texas😊
Aww thank you! :)
Following Angie HOT AND FLASHY channel I learned to read the ingredients of beauty products and I started to save a loooot of money😉
Great video, thanks Jena
Wow Jena - I really love this video! 🥰This is really educational and well researched. I am really happy at the new direction of your channel. Lots of beauty channels don't go into such details. I was considering the Magic Serum but now I won't buy it. Although now I am concerned if I should also change up my make up routine especially foundations.
Happy Tuesday Everyone
Another great informative video😊
Thanks for sharing this important information.
Nope. I can’t unlearn what I know. Her head is in clouds out of touch with the regular normal person who know ingredients. I’m sure she will be called out on some of this. Dahling this isn’t for you. My scientists and I formulated this for the rare beauty in mind.
Lol!
Too funny😏😏
Super helpful thank you !!
Great Video Jena
Thank you! :)
Thank you saved me so much money xx
Thanks for this video! Could you do a similar deep dive into the thrive causemetics serum, moisturizer, and night mask? Thank you!!
Thank god I saw this I was considering buying the magic cream😱😱😱 of course I will not, thank you for this highly informative and that I love video!! 💕🌸great to know thank you Jena😍🤩🦋
Thank you for watching! 💕
I will def still buy it.
Hope it works for you!
Thank you for this helpful info. I do love the clay mask and magic cream. Doesn’t irritate me - but I’m not purchasing the serum. There are so many out there that are so effective.
Thanks for watching Zinna! ❤️
this is good to know 👍🏻
💕💕💕
I only spend $$$ on medical grade skin care that I know will actually do something . I'm nearly 50 and have learned that that is the way to go! I splurge on luxury makeup at times but not about to spend mega bucks on fancy skin care that doesn't do anything powerful
I would’ve tried this serum, but once she mentioned vitamin C I was out. Vitamin C in a clear container? Yeah.... not effective right off the bat.
Oh man... I already placed my order for the serum!
The words "younger-looking" "firmer-looking" "fresher-looking" "smoothing effect" are all code for cosmetic improvement only. CT is, to me, all hype, BIG price, and little substance. I've found to actually achieve younger, fresher, firmer skin that doesn't just 'appear' that way for a little while, medical/prescription treatments are the answer. Tretinoin, Azelaic Acid, Niacinamide, Ceramides, Peptides, Collagen, Ascorbic Acid, Lactic or Glycolic Acid are all super stars. Fragrance, exotic oils, coconut oil or water, fillers are not.
I love her magic cream and under eye cream. I did get the cleansers in the half price mystery box and I'm willing to try it. I don't use or have any other skin products from her. I do LOVE her makeup (don't use the eye shadows though). Here's a funny thing....the first ad that popped up during your video was a CT ad!
Omg.. she’s coming for me hahah! 🙈💕 I had someone say to me.. why do this video you don’t get PR from her.. and I’m like honestly I can’t hold this info back from you guys for the chance at PR. If I don’t get PR because of it, so be it :) not as important as being aware and making the best decision on buying product! :)
@@JenaFroese thank you for being so honest and really dont care if you get PR. Thank god. I follow people who stay real to their truth. Bless you. I aint buying it. Way to expensive and Portugal doesn't have CT...
Yes, love the review videos or “what you didn’t know about” videos. Can you do a Mario Badescu video please? I want to know about the vitamin C lotion, and mineral oil as an ingredient in Mario Badescu products.
Very good information and i agree with ur video
Thanks for the head check. I was on the train of thought i NEEDED this and i don't. I need to keep using what i know i can afford and works. If it isn't broken, don't fix it
Jessica...thanks.yes..
I agree.im 62 and ive used baby lotion on my face since my teens.people often say my skin looks young.if there isnt a problem dont look for one.
Great information, 🙏 thank you
I understand Charlotte tilbury skincare may be over hyped but the ingredients aren’t honestly that bad comparing to other high end brands......😂
I agree. I actually really like her skincare.
I totally agree and I love her magic cream light and cleanser ..they are one of the best products I have tried so far ..agree it’s pricey but it’s worth t ..
I’m not allergic to essential oils but her cleansing duo I hated it. My skin was irritated. It’s too expensive for what it was too.
Have you done a La Mer fluid review? I would love to know your opinion 😍
Hahah I haven’t done a la mer formal review yet.. but I’m thinking of doing a brand review soon! What do you think of that idea? :)
Yes, love the review videos or “what you didn’t know about” videos. Can you do a Mario Badescu video please.
Jena Froese yes please!
Great video 👏😊
Thanks girl! :)
I have never tried her skin care. Can't afford it. I avoid fragrance as much as I can. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the detailed info. This is def not on my radar
CT lost me at 'magic' 🦄
Not buying skincare from her and the cream everyone is nuts about is junk I use better skincare than that and pay less.
The very fact that she has named her cream, "the magic cream" says it all. Im just so wary about people like that.
I can't afford CT, so I don't think the information is so bad. Thank you for sharing!
After many negative opinions about Charlotte Tilbury's skin care products, I was afraid to test her products, especially because of their price. I once got a sample of her Magic Cream and Magic Night Cream at Sephora, and I had the opportunity to test them. Since then, I can't imagine not using these products! I have no idea how they work like that, the skin is soft, radiant, firm, nourished, moisturized, and the makeup looks flawless... Now I'm addicted to her brand!
Good for you and thank you for sharing. I was wondering why it was very cheap and now I know. Sunday Riley products seems to be better skincare products.
I love your skincare vids! Also, do you have a recommendation to replace Olehenriksen’s Dark Spot toner? I loooove it so much but am almost out and hate the idea of buying another bottle knowing there’s fragrance in it. 😫
Hey girl! So are you using the ole toner to help with dark spots? Or what were you hoping to achieve with it? It’ll help me think of a recommendation :)
Jena Froese thank you so much for the help! And I’m using it to fade old acne scars! I already use lactic acid as a serum, but I found using a toner with acid in it definitely helps!
Okay! :) are you wanting you to be able to get something from Sephora still? I’m going to look at the toner’s ingredients again and see what I can come up with!
Okay had to refresh on what the toner has - lol it looks like both lactic and glycolic! You could try the ordinary’s glycolic toner! It’s affordable, no unnecessary crap in it either. Since it’s 7% I would start slowly adding it in especially if you already use another acid. They are compatible, but I don’t know what concentration your lactic is :)
Jena Froese thank you so much!! 💛
Hiya,
Found that very useful thank you. Quick question what Serum would you recommend that contains all of what you said was great to have in a serum? Vitimin B2 & C plus polyglutamic acid . Im looking everywhere. Thanks
Thank you for this video, I've actually tried Charlotte's magic eye cream and it made my eyes water and stung a little under my eyes. I do have to say I do love her makeup brand, especially her eyeshadows but not so much the skin care. Love your product reviews.
Thanks for demonstrating the correct way to shop for skin care. I always read ingredients first. I have been avoiding talc in powder products as a consequence of the multimillion dollar settlement awarded to a woman who successfully convinced the courts that her ovarian cancer was due to talc content in her body powder. There is a big push currently to ban talc in cosmetics, because of the safety risk from breathing it into lungs. It could be the reason that Chanel, for example, has launched a new talc-free face powder.
That’s so interesting! I’ve been reading up on talc (although no medical journals as of yet) but seeing all the media press surrounding that settlement was so interesting. I did read there is a harmful way vs a less risky way to mine for it by testing sites effectively for the presence of asbestos, which often lies in close proximity. But this is all so new to me I feel I haven’t done enough research yet to formulate my opinion. What have you found out girl? :)
At this point, there is a consensus that there may be a relationship between talc and ovarian, cervical or endometrial cancer. There is no consensus with respect to the carcinogenic potential of asbestos-free talc in makeup. My interpretation - It does not mean that talc is safe, it means that it has not been deemed to be unsafe. My opinion- Personally, I do not trust that all cosmetics companies are policing themselves and not purchasing talcum powder from countries that are know to be lax with guidelines, in addition to having poor human rights records.
Hi @Jenafroese can you do one on Farmacy beauty and Caudalie I’d be curious on your opinions.ty
Thanks for this review, Jena! I love Charlotte Tilbury makeup and always get her new releases but for some reason im never attracted to her skincare line. I would say I have her magic cream and bought it off her website using my store credit and so I almost paid half the price of the 50ml only (and was cheaper off the bat since I was living in Spain and ordered off her UK website)...with that said i dont use it a ton. I can live without it. I mainly use it to mix with my Tom Ford traceless foundation stick..creating my own bb cream. But would i repurchase? Nah. Ill spend my coins on my favorite CT makeup products instead.
Thanks for watching Toni!! ❤️
Everyones skin is completely different!! I've used Charlotte tilbury skin care for years, since my mid 20s I would say. It's the only cream I have found that actually after using for months, I still feel the benefits. My mum will only use her creams, she has very sensitive skin and will only use the magic cream. Everyone is so different, for me, I don't think I will ever use any other skin care. Also, she has a VERY good marketing team behind her, which is why she is so successful as a brand. So that's where the cheesy lines come from 😂 but for me. I love her skin care, so worth the money. And the night cream lasts so long anyway, and the day cream! I personally can't fault her creams, I love them and they work amazingly for me
It’s actually an incredible product. So is her magic light cream. My skin changed
Glad you reviewed, not fond of makeup brands doing skincare, rather spend my money on more researched, medical grade products that actually do something!
Yes!! I love my medical grade stuff so much ❤️
I started using Charlotte's cosmetics and skin Care last year. One thing that I could say for the magic serum is that it's fantastic. You will see a difference in your skin. I am 58 years old and I notice my skin tighter and more youthful especially around the eyes which is my major flaw since I have under eye circles. This serum is a miracle worker and I love it. I have extremely sensitive skin and none of the Charlotte Tilsbury cosmetics and skin Care bother my skin. I use just about everything from the magic cream, the crystal serum, the foundation, the under eye concealer and blushes lipsticks and mascara. I am extremely happy with her products the only thing I'm a little bit disappointed with is the mascara which can be clunky. But the serum is fantastic I highly highly recommend it. It will not bother your skin unless you have super super sensitive skin. I am allergic to many things and I have sensitive skin and the serum doesn't bother me one bit on the contrary my skin has never looked better.
Last year I was chosen to be part of the Elle Beauty Grand Prix, it was amazing what I got , it was over $1500.00 worth if skin care , hair care and make up. One was a full size of the magic cream, they were all wrapped so it was blind testing , I didn’t see any great things, found it very thick I just use it under my eyes occasionally. One if the skin care products was a facial moisturizer with diamond dust worth $250. I had fun .
Yes, I was wondering if you we’re going to review. Won’t be purchasing thanks to you . Hugs an stay safe 🤗
You too babe! ❤️
I received a sample of the serum, and it irritated my skin. I had never reacted to skincare products before. I do not have sensitive skin. I do like the flawless foundation and lipsticks
The second CT sold an eyeshadow palette for “only 24 hours” was the moment I decided I will NEVER EVER buy one of her products - ever. I would literally not wear makeup before I would buy one of her products. I personally despise the whole “scarcity” marketing tactic. You think you’re going to pressure me into spending my hard earned money....? I think not. But then again, I’m only one person. And so many beauty “gurus” say her products are great. I’m not disputing that. I just can’t support someone who uses high pressure, scarcity marketing tactics. To me, it makes her no better than a shady used car salesman.
I like the magic cream as a makeup primer and like you can’t use it every day because of the heavy fragrance and spf which sting my eyes
I got the email on this too. I feel it’s a lot of money for minimal skin care. I have to hand it to CT, she gets me with packaging every time. That’s why I looked at the ingredients and decided to wait. BTW, what is “replexium “ anyway.... sounds suspect 🤔
No kidding! Without knowing what peptides are actually in this replexium.. who knows! 🤷🏼♀️
Its a peptide and apperently gets rid of wrinkles in three weeks. Its always in age refining skin care products. Google it yes you find it on google
I am going to purchase the Magic Cream during the VIB sale. 15% off is better than zero off. That is pretty much all I am trying from her line. I do not care for her ingredients in her skincare line. Pass for me. Great informative video. Thank you!
Of course! Thanks for watching! Luckily magic cream is offered in many sizes so maybe a smaller size would be helpful if you’re trying for the first time :)
gailbook70 some ppl have commented that it made their skin itchy. Hope it works out for u dear. I wouldn’t spend so much on a moisturiser just because it’s CT. I would however spend on a foundation but foundations have different textures and finishes and one works out better than the other. But my Clinique moisture surge is amazing so I just don’t feel the need for a cream ✌️
I only tried one skincare item from CT and that's it for me. Didn't like it. I do have the bronze and glow palette though, but that's about it. As I get to know the brands I am learning which ones I like or don't like. I think CT is one of those genius marketers. They are not bad people; just sales people!
Thank you it’s a pass for me what do you think of Dr Barbara Strum skincare
I haven’t looked into it! But I will :)
Thank you for this honest review! Want to use CT, but a game changer when one is well versed on ingredients. Received the Magic Serum in today. Returning. Considering has fragrance, it does *not* have a nice smell. Disappointed. Used the sample that I got to try first. Feels very nice, does absorb (thought it may have an oily texture) it also has PEG 100 STEARATE. I avoid PEGS. As far as the Magic Cream, like how this feels as a primer. Don't use it often either as it contains silicone. Using many silicone products on the skin cause so much congestion. Regular exfoliating/masks is a must. Found much of her line to be hit or miss. Do wish she avoided using certain chemicals and more effective ones.
Can you do review on glow recipe?
You are right. I don’t understand why high end items has more fragrance in it..
what serum do you recommend?
Can u do a video about the good and bad alcohol in the skin care. Thanks
Hi Jena no I only. Bought her makeup , I for one buys my skin care from cleansers and tonic from liz Earl , ,my other skin care is from Estée Lauder which I have used from over ten years some products a way longer and my mature skin is always receiving comments , no I don’t use anything with fragrance , so just buy what you enjoy , any magic cream is a no no , , I use my long tested products which have been proven for me , so yes please don’t take anything you dislike , magic cream sorry never ever used , would I use her brand no sorry ,! I will stick to my normal skincare yes I enjoy Estée Lauder I have used their products all my adult life and have had no issues , so I will stay with my skincare .stay safe everyone my love liz x
My skin hates citrus but loves lavender...I buy unscented products and add lavender if I want to...
Everyone is different! :)
I love CT's makeup. That being said she is a makeup artist and her makeup is worth the high price tag. However, crossing over into the skincare line doesn't sit well with me. Anything with a lot of fragrance or essential oils would definitely not be good for my dry, sensitive skin. Thanks for another great video Jena!
Thank you Judi!! 💕💕
Charlottes first product she launched was skin care it was her magic cream
Giovanna...wow! I didn’t know that. Interesting 🤔
I love some of charlottes products like her blushes and powders, lipsticks and lips liners, and some of her eyeshadows (but not all), but I’ve always been skeptical of her skin care products. They seem super overpriced to have such irritating ingredients. I feel like there is nothing in that serum that makes it “magic.” For such a high price, I would expect it to have some magical combination lol!
Totally agree girl! ❤️
There is also so many types of vitamin C and not all of them are good for the skin. People also avoid alcohol, but some alcohol, sometimes is a good thing. Everyone's skin is different. You may need to avoid things that work great for others. I've seen great effects from alcohol on my skin at certain times in my life. I've also benefited from Rose. I don't handle most citrus oils well, but others do fine with them. I think when it comes to skincare people just have to see what their skin can handle and what's good for their skin.
I am currently on the hunt for a good quality serum. Any suggestions??
Julie H Timeless Vitamin C Serum
Julie H look into stem factors, from le meiux and or osmosis. 😊
It depends on what you want the serum to do Julie! :)
Jena Froese anti ageing and brightening as I have mild pigmentation.
Lissette Diggs wow I just did a google search and it’s $235 AUD 😬 I thought $120 for the Estee Lauder serum I bought was a lot lol. I just finished it but don’t intend on repurchasing as I didn’t notice any changes.
I bought the magic cream cos I thought it would be good for my dry, sensitive skin however after using it 3 days in a row on the 3rd day I started to get an itchy feeling on my face and got a light rash. I stopped using the cream immediately and my face cleared up after a couple of days! Such a waste of money! All the hype but unfortunately not one for my skin type!
I second that... irritated my face like crazy
Aww man!! I’m glad you found the culprit but that sucks to have to experience that! :(
Jena Froese I guess it was the only new product I’d introduced into my beauty regime so it made it easy to pin point! Oh well, ya live and learn (at a price) 😜
Send it back, tell CT customer service and get ur money back weather its used or not. I would.
Sharon Kour i didn’t think I’d be able to return it after already using it but I will definitely try! Thank you 🙏
I think when it comes to Rose it would depend on the quality of the Rose oil or essence that was used when creating the skin care. Some rose is amazing for my skin, but all citrus oils irritate my skin 🤷♀️.
And people don’t forget the price!!! $80 USD What the...
Gold isn't a skin irritant in it's pure form. It doesn't have any benefits for skin either, but it's not an irritant. However, some gold jewelry contains nickel - and that can definitely cause an allergic reaction.
Which English/marketing major wrote the descriptions lol
Hahaha!! ❤️
Hahaha...I wonder how many magical workouts each bottle is giving us? Lol is this like a month long gym membership? And what type of workout-cardio? Yoga? Pilates? Weights? Oooo how Charlotte cracks me up!
Hahaha!!
I will skip this but I do love the magic cream.
I’m glad it works for you! :)
Hi! you should talk about the truth or secrets about LAWLESS and caudalie vinoperfect line.
I like your channel
Honestly I’ve been used cleanser from Charlotte but i’m not sacker for it ,but I using magic cream and eye cream is wonderful my skin is so soft hydration and glowly, but eye cream just getting glowly not yet working for wrinkles during 2months
In general i avoid skincare products made by brands that are not known for skincare like if they are a makeup or a haircare product
It is my understanding that the cosmetic industries
do not use 100% pure essential oils like Young Living essential oils. Citrus oils are photo sensitive and you should not be in the sun for 12 hours (as I recall) after using them. Pure essential oils are so potent that most of them have to be cut with a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
