    The night cream is my holy grail! Bobbi brown used to make the thickest balm moisturiser that I loved and was so upset when it was discontinued! For me CT skincare I don’t go for any ingredients or claims she makes, I use real actives for that but her line is fantastic at hydration which I’m always happy to pay for as my skin is so picky about how much it needs. Edit for others reading I am 33 with dry skin and use Tretinoin for anti aging :)

      You are SO right. Everything you say here is spot on. We need REAL actives to see REAL results but Charlotte's line is a lovely addition for moisture and feeling pampered with seemingly nice benefits to the overall health of our skin. Totally agreed.

      Oh I totally agree, as you know, Claudia. The Magic Night Cream is one of those things that you either love or hate. For me, it's totally indulgent and it works. Hi Rebecca! I agree with the serum - I wasn't expecting to love it and have just purchased it! My skin just drinks it up. I love the night cream, and you know I'm seeing all these videos about slugging - that's what the night cream does! Instead of vaseline, though, we're putting $145 moisturizer on our faces, lol. I love the smell, though, and it's kind of a luxurious experience for me. I'm not a mask girl, either. I do like the double cleanse. And finally (if you're still reading, lol) the Multi Miracle Glow: I haven't repurchased it, but I used it as a quick and gentle cleanse first thing in the morning and loved it. When I first got it, I tried removing my makeup and it didn't do much at all. I went online to look at other reviews, and someone said to use it as a face wash in the morning. I liked it for that purpose, and I really like the fragrance, too. So obviously, I'm a CT junkie. Sorry to write a book here. Enjoyed your video! Have a lovely day!

      Hello Sarah! Of course I was still reading, you silly goose. I loved your comment!!! Your insights are fantastic. Slugging???? Slugging???? What is this term that I don’t know? I’m off to look it up right now. So you’ve already taught me something!!!! You know what? The miracle glow would def be lovely in the morning! And I told another lady to try the night cream on her dry hands. She loves it but still feels it’s too rich for her face. Expensive as a hand cream, I realize, but if it’s just sitting there, might as well use it. Masks. Yea. I just never can get interested. The one treat that I find a burden! Haha. Wonderful comment. Very much appreciated!!!! xxxx

    Great review. I think that it is important to know that anyone can be sensitive to any ingredient. For example, some people think strawberries are good for them, while someone else can break out in hives. Since using the CT product that left my face burned for about 4-5 days, I tried another new product and the same thing happened. I think that my constant experimentation with new products for my channel has disrupted my skincare barrier and caused me to be sensitized to ingredients I never used to be sensitive to. So with that being said, I may owe the CT skincare line a second look. I still do feel that some of the ingredient lists can be duped in less pricey alternatives - so then it becomes a matter of choice, experience & preference. I will always like a prettier container, a nice "experience" in addition to the benefits of a product. Butttt, if that is not in someone's budget, I do believe they can get more affordable items for the most part. Love your channel Rebecca!

    Hello again lol. This popped up as a recommendation for me to watch and glad I did. Sooo I only this year decided to get I to makeup then realized I haven't been using the proper skin care. And since I got into Charlotte Tilbury I ended up looking into her creams. I haven't tried all of her products in this area and relied her samples except that I ended up buying her Magic Cream and Night Cream and eye cream.
    I live in Northern Canada and I work in the elements AND I have dry skin.
    I have to say hallelujah for her night cream. My cheeks soak it up! I usually use non scented products but I keep saying I can't believe I love this scent and it is calming for me. It's been a game changer. This year we had hit weeks of -30-40 Celsius weather and when I wake up I barely have to moisturize when I get outside and work out there I almost feel protected from the cold drying me out.
    I have tried primers and for me it seems the only thing that doesn't show my pores is the Magic Cream. It plays well with my foundation. I use Clinique even better glow in Alabaster. I would never choose this scent either. Usually flower scents bug my sinuses but for some reason this doesn't 🤔 I would like a thick lotion like this instead of primers without a scent.
    I do also have the eye cream which I do love as well. It's my understanding that eye cream should not be right up to eyes or on the lids. I can use this everywhere and I haven't had a reaction. However Clinique has an eye cream and it's my understanding that it's one of the only ones approved for eyelids etc. Let me know your thoughts on that. I havr Clinique rich eye cream which is same consistency and the regular which also plays well under consealer.
    I love the honesty as I wouldn't want to waste money trying everything.
    I'm trying to picture what a girls slumber party would be like with you haha. Bring out the Laneige Lip balm 😊

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  3 года назад

      Hello Lori! YESS! Slumber party!!! Swatch Slumber Party!!! Whoo!!!!!!!
      Eye cream. Another great one is the Tatcha Silk Peony. It's lovely. Agreed. Should not go past the bone under the eye and, agreed, not on lids unless it specifically states to apply to lids as you note with the Clinique product. I think I said this in that video but I use Charlotte's eye cream gently on the lips. haha. I love it for that.
      I was reading your note and I thought, "Northern Canada??? You MUST try the night cream!!" but AHA, you HAVE tried the night cream. Yes, the scent is soothing. Agreed entirely.
      You and I are on the same page as Magic Cream for a primer. And another is the Tatcha primer in the lotion form. Two Tatcha product recommendations in one comment. I swear I do not work for them. haha. ❤️

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty I have heard lots about tatcha primer and I am not sure what the primer smells like but I tried the cleanser and face lotion and well unfortunately I hated the scent 😕 it smelt like rotten tea. I know what a sight 😌 I am a vanilla baking goods type of person or no scent. Hence why I'm surprised the floral of charlotte doesn't bother me.
      I have a sample of the serum and trying to like it but I don't know what I am looking for as far as benefits from it.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  3 года назад

      @@capture_smartphotography1917 haha!! Understood entirely, Lori!! Makes sense!!!! I love the vanilla scent too and am not a fan of floral either but, like you, I tolerate it in charlottes products. The serum from Charlotte, for me, makes my skin look more rested and bright, less dull, like it’s had 8 hours sleep (never! Haha) and some good moisture. See what you think, if you try your sample, and let me know 😊

    Iam a bit late to the Charlotte Tilbury party but wow.. she has some amazing products. Her makeup is great, I love everything I got! My favs are the pressed powder, the eyeshadows in the old formula and the new formula and the powder Eyeliner.
    I love the eyecream, it is the best working one I ever tryed :) but my undereyes are DRY and love heavy creams (kiehls avocado eyecream is another fav).
    The clay mask works good for me and I am a masking girl on weekends. But Origins rose clay mask is just as good IMO.
    I looooove how the magic makes my skin look does the light version give the same glow?
    I prefer wash off masks - I use the after cleansing and before toner. Personally I like Clay and moisturizing masks in the morning and acid peeling masks in the evening.
    I fit sheet masks instead of a serum or before my serum.

      Hello Cornealia! Oh, if you like wash off masks, you might really love the new Charlotte Tilbury Resurfacing Facial. It leaves skin really soft. I have been playing with it for a week or two now. The Magic Cream light is really really nice. It doesn't leave skin quite as supple as the original cream but it's truly a close second and great in warmer weather. 🥰

    I thank you for the rundown of all these products. I was very curious because I haven’t tried any of CT’s skincare. I think I will dip into the serum when the one I am using runs out. I am also interested in the setting spray and the light day lotion. I am on the oily side, taking low dose accutane while also being a truly mature woman. I prefer skincare that comes in airless pumps so the night cream is a pass until the packaging is modernized. Thank you.

    I use all of the tried and true- the magic cream, eye cream, night cream and multi purpose and clay mask. I have been on the fence because of the controversy over the serum and I am going to get it now 😊I watched your video when it came out and I thank you for going through a bottle and then doing this review. Here is where a mask fits in for me. If you are older, they tighten your skin and CT is a quick and easy to do before I put on my makeup. I find the wonder glow great because I don't use foundation all over. I use RCMA or Besame , ( both highly pigmented ) in small tiny amounts . I mix my MMG when I need a moisturize boost by mixing it with the night cream . I use Tretinoin Cream .05% which I swear by but dries out your skin !!! 😬

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  4 года назад

      Anon user Fantastic suggestion for mask use. Charlotte herself, in fact, uses masks like that. Right before makeup application. I’m going to try that!

    I got a sample of the serum and loved it- visible results and I switched from Estée Lauder Night Repair (brown bottle). I bought the full big size. Next Sephora sale another- forever.
    Magic cream another hit but I am 65, live in a desert region. That was reformulated recently and dropped the irritating chemical spf when she launched the light version. It’s much better than it was, love it now.
    I enjoy the night cream version too. It’s very difficult to apply, I use Peter Thomas Roth Cloud cream first for Hyaluronic acid and slip first.
    Those are the only ones I will continue to spend the big money on. Sephora sale season.
    That setting spray works like a charm- keeps my makeup intact even in allergies and masks in public.
    I’m not a fan of the eye cream- I will use it up.
    For makeup removal I prefer other brands.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 года назад +1

      I absolutely agree with everything you say here. For make up removal, it is just not the brand. The magic serum really is wonderful and I completely agree that it is better than the Estee Lauder advanced night repair. Her moisturizers are wonderful. And the eye cream, I totally agree, as you know, it’s just not the best. She does have a new eye cream with a metal tip that’s cooling and that one is actually pretty good.

    I so agree about wonderglow BUT when my sister puts it on her skin looks amazing so I think it depends on your skin undertone. My sister has cooler undertones and I think wonderglow warms it up and her skin really glows. I put it on and can’t see ANY difference xxx

    I had a horrible experience with the Magic night cream last night. Felt suffocatingly thick on my skin and I only used a tiny bit from the sample. Yet I can cope with the regular Magic Cream which works great under CT foundation (I use the Magic Foundation). I’m a combo skin with tendency for dry skin in this dry winter weather.

      B. Domingo I have heard this from others. The texture is very petroleum feeling and if it’s uncomfortable, even a small amount will still feel like you’re trapped under it. I am oddly into it. Haha. But I totally absolutely understand that, for some, it’s not a nice feeling. Thankfully you found out with a sample rather than a purchase! I haven’t tried the serum yet though I am encouraged to give it a try by the fact you’ve used up a bottle and re-purchased. I’m not a mask person either I just don’t have time. I recently bought the light magic cream but it wasn’t any good on its own. I live in a very chilly, rainy though very beautiful part of the north of England and I’m in my 50’s with dry skin so I need all the help I can get. I have found that the light on top of the magic cream makes a beautiful primer. The eye cream is a no, it stings my eyes as does the night cream. It leaves my skin beautifully soft but it breaks me out. It reminds me of Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. All in all I would say the products that work are fantastic but the ones that don’t are absolute stinkers, there’s no middle ground. Really enjoyed your video as always. Xx❤️

      Hello Lisa! Thank you for this lovely comment. The original magic cream was my introduction, all those years ago whew, into Charlotte skincare. I’ve since stopped using it but mostly because my eye is always caught by the newest, latest and greatest. I use it now for occasional spot moisturizing AND often on a q-tip to remove a little accidental blotch of mascara or eyeliner that has transferred. It’s superb for that. It’s the best of all her moisturizers and one of the best on the market still. Truly. I think you’ll really like it if you stay using it. But let me know. ❤️

    I usually use a mask in some rare circumstances where I’m taking a shower in the afternoon or early evening, and have the house to myself. Then it feels like an indulgence and my face is already clean. I might put a touch of skincare on after, but not a lot, knowing I’ll probably wash it off that evening.

The night cream is heavy but it doesn't feel uncomfortable for too long. Hello Kim! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and I am so happy to have you here! The under eye area is so interesting. As you know I do not love Charlotte‘s original eye cream. I do enjoy, however, her newer eye cream that has been released since that video …especially if you keep it in the refrigerator. And that is called the cryo-recovery Eye Serum. I think that is a really really good one. In terms of puffiness the coolness will help. My particular problem, oddly, is that my under eye area is the reverse. It gets sunken in and darker and there’s no helping that really other than concealer or some sort of injection but I’m a big chicken. But I like the new Charlotte with the metal tip and I keep it in the refrigerator and that definitely de-puffs my lids as well. Plus it feels really nice especially in warmer months.

    Mask would go after your serum, now a days you don't really have to clean the mask off after 15 mins , you just remove the sheet and massage the remaining product in your skin .... Mask that needs washing you can follow the instructions on the pack.

    I just tried the cream and it pilled. Idk if it's reacting with something else I put on earlier

      Which? The Magic Cream? Let's discuss and figure this out!

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty yup! So I washed my face with my Dr. Dennis Gross cleanser and put on some Byoma Toner and was in a rush and forgot to do the rest of my skincare! When I came out of Ulta I tried the PIXI brightening eye patch's for about a minute but they slid down my face and I couldn't handle it anymore and threw them away (the patches not the whole container!) and then I tried the CTMC and when it dried down I was rubbing my face a bit to see how it felt and that's when I noticed the pilling which has never happened before. I've heard of ppls skincare pilling but never experienced it until today 🫠🫤

      @@CrustyUgg Aha. Ok. I hear ya. So we need to isolate and see what the culprit is. When you get a moment, start your morning with whatever skincare you usually use. Let it really soak in. Then add in a light layer of the Magic Cream. Let that sit a bit and THEN rub. Let's see if it happens then. You'd normally be adding foundation? Or just concealer?

    Masks should be used after your cleanser before moisturizers

    The multi miracle glow, I got a pot free recently after spending £££s. It's not something I'd buy. It's heavily scented to an extent i find it overpowering. It's a rubbish cleanser. I'm using it as mask. That's all.

    Charlotte Tilburys stuff is just too over priced for what it is. It's okay stuff. That's about it. I always feel disappointed by her things. Her skincare has never interested me at all...especially because there isn't any true dedicated one-step cleanser. That 2 step ritual isn't my thing and honestly I didn't even realize it was a cleanser for a long time because of how it's worded.
    Her Pillowtall line pulls orange on me due to my undertones not the beautiful pinky-mauve. I have only a couple things I love...the Magic Serum and the Iconic Nude lip liner.

      Totally fair. I will say that her pink lipsticks ALL go orange on me, too!
