The way they lowered your expectations then proceeded to send you an entire skin care routine HAHA
The reusable mask is a good idea in theory, but in practice seems deeply unhygienic and problematic. You aren't supposed to touch a dropper to your skin, never mind a whole sheet that is resting on your skin.
thats what preservatives are for???
i mean come ON, do you really think cosmetic formulators would allow a brand to advertise a product to be reusable if it isnt specifically formulated to do so??

Unfortunately couple of years ago I've discovered that I'm really sensitive to fragrance, it was really an aha moment of why nothing worked for me, but when I went all in fragrance free skincare the difference was amazing and no more stinging and redness from all the creams I was using. I'm very happy that brands are more inclusive and have more fragrance free products!

Honestly, to me they're both sort of... beige old lady brands from a decade or two ago? Obviously CT is making a bit of a comeback, but I can see where the confusion comes from!

Totally agree on your review... I loved the day cream, serum and eye cream. For the night cream, I also got the same problem at first... but I gave it a second chance by using a really thin layer and it didn’t clog my pores.

For the weekly treatment! I put post it's (plastic ones so they don't get wet but honestly, you could write on tape lol) on my weekly things with the day of the week that I'm supposed to use it! Quarantine definitely messed up my perception of time so I do mess up days but I honestly like having the little reminders (if you can get over "ruining" the aesthetic of your products [even though it's totally cool to disrespect your products and do whatever you want with them!] it's a fun time)

I have been dying to try her traditional magic cream but I really just cant spend that money on skincare as a student :( So Im living vicariously through RUclipsrs trying her skincare.

The night cream is so greasy and I hate the feeling of it on my skin BUT I have chronically dry skin and its one of the only creams I've found that helps get rid of this dryness and creates a smooth base for makeup. Its worth it for that but if you don't have extremely dry skin I could think of nothing worse to use haha.
I tried a sample of her magic cream. It smelled really strongly, less strongly than the serum though, and made my skin ANGREY. And it looked bad under my makeup. But I don't know if that was the cream itself or just my already freaked out skin.
Truly could be both... I've seen people like her cream because it's thick and some people's bases look better with those types of creams. Which is my case, it like looking borderline oily 🤭

I was just very disappointed because i got very red, redder than usual, it made the makeup on my cheeks sit really weird wich it only does on bad skin days and tbh it smelled like grandma. But I guess that's a personal preference. I don't know if I am sensitive to fragrance in skincare because i just don't like it and because of that I usually buy skincare without fragrance but that might have contributed to the issue. I really wanted to like it because I've got really dry skin and I like to look dewy but it just wasn't for me.
@@theq8688 It can totally be the case. I have sensitivity to some alcohols but I just noticed it with continuity of use. It also can be allergie to some component, allergies usually causes immediate irritation and some sort of consequence like eczema or burning.
Magic crème burnt my skin in two days!
I dont think 1 month is enough for skincare testing (just cleansers/moisturizers maybe) and its not a good idea using all new products in case one of them is bad you won't know which one. But you did a good job explaining as much as you could (:
Ooooh, you lucky lucky girl being sent all of that stuff! On a serious point though, I've a feeling that the range is probably targeted towards more mature women like me, especially considering the consistency of the night cream. I purchased the Christmas advent calender/chest (£150!), which contained some of those products, and I have really enjoyed using them. They should have sent that PR box to me!! Lol. 😉

Use the night cream on your neck so it’s still the thin facial skin but not wasted on the body

I’m pretty sure with the cleanser your supposed to use the citrus oil (yellow one) first to remove make up and then follow by using the purifying bamboo charcoal (black one) as a second cleanse x

Question: how/when did sheet masks become popular? I remember when there were only masks to like smear on your face in stores. And then suddenly BOOM everyone was using sheet masks. Is it because they seem less messy?? Honestly I've never been able to put them on my face correctly and they would always almost fall off. (I also used to wear glasses which just complicated the whole thing even more)
i think because korean skincare became super popular! they’ve used sheet masks for a while, i think because of convenience
I definitely think this is targeted more towards people that want to combat aging. Like you said it seems it's for people who don't really have problems with their skin, but just want to look fresh and youthful lol

Just so you know, I’m pretty sure the cleansers are supposed to be used together. Step one is a cleansing oil and follow up with step 2 which is the charcoal!

FYI the cleansing ritual 1 is just step one and the ritual 2 is step two... not AM/PM. You are supposed to use both together!

The magic cream light burned my eyes soooo bad! I cried for 30 minutes and they kept burning for a whole hour! My skin looked and felt nice but I mean, not worth it even when I tried to avoid my eye area, the fumes or whatever still burned my eyes

You are wrong about the ritual cleanser. It’s a double cleanse. Use oil first then wash. Just a heads up.

Anything with fragrance irritates and breaks my skin out immediately so sadly this won’t be it for me
as a sucker who has previously bought la mer, please don't. it sucks and smells like grandma.
La mer is sort of worth it for more mature skin, as in 40 and up in general. I got stopped from buying it by a really honest sales lady and I am so grateful she talked me out of it.
I’m 43 and wouldn’t buy it! Although, I have oily skin with minimal sun damage (oddly for someone who grew up surfing, sunscreen ladies) so my skin is very youthful. I have good luck with very light moisturizers and my FAVORITE thing for a boost of moisture is DE B-Hydra (or stand alone with serums and my primer for makeup prep days). I use several DE products, glow recipe, and k beauty. Don’t lump us 40 year olds in with the 80 year olds 😂

I think it’s hard for very young adults to speak about skin care like if it helps reduce wrinkles or fine lines because well you don’t have any all you can say if it’s moisturizing or exfoliates well, there’s nothing else someone of your age and good skin can say about it that’s no shade or nastiness just the truth.
That is absolutely true. I find it quite irksome when an advertisement for an anti-aging product features a model that is likely 28 in real life as well! Yet, they are marketing toward those 45+.

No sunscreen! it's THE most important step! What's the point in age-defying skincare and spending all that money on high-end products if you're not going to include sunscreen! especially if you have retinol in one of the products. Charlotte Tilbury, what gives? make an SPF 50 sunscreen and a translucent sunscreen powder for topping up through out day.
