The young Mormon asks, “who says we cannot add to the words of the Bible?” I’ll tell you who… A DIRE WARNING FROM GOD in Revelations! REVELATIONS 22: 18,19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
@alohaangel1111 take a look at how the chronological order the Bible was put together. The way you are interpreting that scripture would mean that half the New Testament isn’t true. Because it was written before the other letters were and before the Bible was put together. Those words talk about specifically about those specific prophecies. Not the Bible as a whole because the Bible as a whole wasn’t created yet.
@@AlohaAngel1111that text in revelations was referring to that book and not the Bible! Interestingly enough some of the Bible books were chronologically written after revelation's! As per having more words no one can limit how much God can give us
I left the LDS church after doing my own intense reading of the New Testament. My family is now going to a non-denominational church where we hear preaching about Jesus every Sunday. I love it. Thank you.
+C. M. Felos That's great to hear! Well done! Now I say this encouragingly, please try not to be just a "Sunday" Christian. We also need to be doers of the Word not just hearers of the Word. While it's good to go to a good church for fellowshipping once a week, please remember that your relationship with Jesus is through studying and living His word and not just listening to a preacher every Sunday. Like they say, and I'm sure everyone has heard this before, sitting in a garage all day long doesn't make you a car and neither does sitting in a church every Sunday make you a Christian. God bless. Praise and glory to God and to Jesus!
+Adam Goodword I think that the LDS church does a great job of teaching it's members to study scriptures as a family... a tradition that we will certainly keep. The challenge is to stay connected to a church family. The LDS church is super good at that too. Give everyone a job and they feel connected.
My husband and I are both ex-mormons, we now spend our days talking to the LDS about the true Jesus and we love watching you guys witness. Love your heart for Mormons, it's rare among evangelicals witnessing at Temple events.
DO NOT ERASE THIS SCRIPTURES PLEASE IS FOR YOUR OWN SALVATION, WE ARE SON'S OF GOD: 1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. Psalms 82 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Psalms 82 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? There's no proof we didn't just come into existence 5 minutes ago with the appearance of age. Prove math exists and it's not just a thought in our head. Prove your consciousness exist...scientists have no clue what it is. There's no such thing as proof really, just evidence of. The Bible infact has the most evidence of any other religion. Or he's so good at his job because he went to theological School that he's made a living preaching God's word and he has to know what he's selling so maybe he's just a good salesman and he wants to make money as a pastor most Pastors in the United States of America and across the world get paid to preach God's word it's absolutely abhorred to do such thing it should be a service that requires no money cuz now you're paying a pastor to hear the Lord's word so he can buy a plane a mansion a brand new car. I think it's just absolutely ridiculous so I think that he needs to know what he's talking about so he studies it all the time so he can sell God's word for a profit
Travis Armstrong sell Gods word for a profit? I don’t believe they should have big mansions and super expensive cars. But should pastors be homeless beggars on the street? Should they not be paid at all? 1st Corinthians 9:9 9For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” b Is it about oxen that God is concerned? 10Surely he says this for us, doesn’t he? Yes, this was written for us, because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. 11If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you? 13Don’t you know that those who serve in the temple get their food from the temple, and that those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar? 14In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.
@@kedduff1814 The more converts he gets the more money he gets. Who is he accountable to for how he spends that money? Certainly not you. Not the congregation. Because the more appealing his message is the more money he makes.
Ever felt like it was a Friday, but it was Tuesday? We must not use our feelings as the gauge of truth, but trust in the word of God which does not change.
Do you ever have feelings about God? Or your faith? Have you ever raised yours hands in church and emotionally felt the power of God? ....be careful how you devalue the power and deception of feelings. This is the problem with religion. It's the same as a declaration of truth based on "faith" or "belief".

Being a Mormon returned missionary he's really hoping he can change this pastors mind. They are both trying to convert each other. Hopefully the message and truth of the street preacher/pastor woke this lds man up a little
So refreshing to see the respect and courtesy on both sides here. The Mormon gentleman comes across as rational and mature, so that helps a lot. But Jeff, you've gotten so much better over the years at putting people at ease during the discussion. Very encouraging, brother. Nice camera work, Marcus.
Mark Lilly actually Jeff is telling this guy that what he believes in is false when the guy says that what he believes in is true. How can a person tell someone what they believe in is wrong? The guy Jeff is being extremely disrespectful to this Mormon dude.
Rsmdizz Dunski he’s not being disrespectful...he’s trying to lead him to the truth. The disrespectful ones are the false teachers and leaders. Leading this man down a path to destruction. He can’t tell him he’s half right, half right is only wholly wrong.
I think many members of LDS church aren't even interested in the actual doctrines or searching...but it is a cultural thing. They are part of the Mormon community, their family are Mormon, their friends are Mormon, their activities are Mormon. To them it would be giving up almost EVERYTHING in their life. It's rough.
Only if they live in Utah, and the surrounding areas. The majority of Mormons live outside of Utah; over half live outside the USA! And in some places, your nearest Mormon neighbor is an hour's drive or more. Believe me, my family (mom and sibs) would be overjoyed if I left the LDS church.
Being a convert myself I'd suggest that for a fraction of the LDS that is true. But would you not suggest that the same applies to those born and raised in the Bible Belt? I can absolutely attest with experience that many of the protestants are culturally that way. I was "church of Christ" for 20 years....why? I was raised that way. I bought every church of Christ doctrine from each preacher that went to and received a church of Christ denominated theological degree. But then I studied for myself leaning more toward a non-denominational bible church. After having studied near death experiences for a decade something was off....there were doctrines from people that had KNOWLEDGE. Christians were mostly right, but missing some critical doctrines. That's when I finally gave into my preconceived notions of Mormons and studied their faith with a vengeance. I told God that if it was the restored Gospel he'd better show me. I was not ready for the shock. I've been LDS for 3 years and I know this church is restored. It has all the missing links from those that have experienced death. My christian friend once said "I don't know how Mormonism is growing.....none of the pastors in my Church think it's true and they study this stuff". That was from a rock solid Christian. So WHO is actually seeking on your side!?! I thank God that he finally broke me from anti-Mormonism. The gospel is restored. It's fantastic and I can't shut up about it. Blessings! "A non-UTAH Bible Belt Mormon"
*My christian friend once said "I don't know how Mormonism is growing.....none of the pastors in my Church think it's true and they study this stuff".* I think that they mostly study how to destroy "Mormonism" because if it's true, then they have to find a new line of work. And I'm not being facetious here, I'm totally serious. BTW, I'm not in the Bible belt, but we do have just about every religion known to man, and that's surprising to me, being outside of California as well.
Daily dose. Read it before joining the church. It was not that convincing compared to the witness I received from studying near death experiences, reading the BOM and fasting/praying to know the truth. I also thought FairMormon responses were sufficient. Finally, I have an issue believing someone who rejects the whole of religion. If atheism is anti-Christ why would I believe the author of the CESLetter being led by the spirit of truth anyway. Take care.
@Barrier Boy What he said doesn't contradict what you said. It can still be harder for religious people to convert than non-religious people, even if thousands are converting. It just means religious people are harder to convince. I'm not sure if what he said was statistically accurate, because I haven't researched it, but the point is that he feels its harder to convert someone from another religion than someone who isn't religious.
26:59 broke my heart.. he clearly has had his eyes open to the truth in this video. Its hard to admit when you’ve been led astray. Its hard to admit you were wrong this whole time. Gail, please give the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Book of Mormon another chance. The trinity is a man-made idea. Jesus did NOT pray to himself, but to his Father in heaven. "who do I follow?" Jesus! You don't need a religion to follow. Religion is man trying to get to God through works and traditions. Christianity is a relationship with Christ and relying on Him and Him alone to get to God. You follow Jesus Christ.
Jesus was constantly around believers teaching and encouraging them, discipling them. This is church. Hebrews 10:25 tells us that we should not forsake the assembling of the believers. We are to spur one another on to love and good deeds. I hate religion too. But I love Jesus, the head, and I love His body, the Church! One can't love the head without loving the body.
@@paulgregersen3570 Jesus is clearly the head and the Church the body. On a different note, the Bible never said to sell indulgences nor does it talk of purgatory, or required works to enter heaven.
@@paulgregersen3570 God is sovereign and He decides when church doors open and close. By the way church planting is the best way to grow the kingdom of God. Not the one who will hear Depart from me, I never knew you. There are many people in church buildings in both these categories. I am amazed at how little the Mormon knows about the bible and he quotes absolutely nothing of the Book of Mormon. It seems like he just "feels" his way through his faith rather than following the Words of Christ.
Most follow the new revelations and the revelations of Joseph Smith. Its interesting that the book they claim as their foundation condemns many of the revelations they follow which is why they probably don't know much about the BoM, or the Bible. Thank you for this video. For those who have never been Mormon it’s incredibly hard to hear the truth especially after you’ve been wrong your whole life. Pastor Jeff approached members of the Mormon church EXACTLY the way you’re supposed to. If you attack they shut down and don’t want to hear it. Believe me. If you take a text out of context it is a pretext. Read the Bible as it was meant to be read and you will know that Paul was talking to the Judizers regarding circumcision. Read further and find that Paul speaks of faith and works. We are saved by the grace of God if we are open to His gift of Faith and works flow naturally from faith. Read the Bible as a whole. Don't pull a text out and you will find it very exciting. God bless you!
+Maria Iso It is James that taught that faith without works is dead, not Paul. Just sayin. The one thing you guys DO NOT GET, which is the whole crux of the argument, is that the new testament is talking about TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF WORKS. One is the works of the law of moses and the other is the works of Christ and faith. The works James 2 is talking about is the works of the law of faith and of Christ and of proving faith by our works of love and charity. There are numerous scriptures in the new testament that warn and plead about having and maintaining GOOD WORKS. These are also the works of the law of Christ. •Galatians 6:2 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. I have also asked this question on some other ex mormon video chat threads based on some other scriptures I found. I posed a question about instant salvation in light of these scriptures: 1. Ezekiel 18:24 24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 2. Hebrews 6:4-7 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame 3. 2 Peter 2:20-21 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. To me, this teaches that there is the possibility of falling. So why could or would that happen?: 1 Peter 5:8 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: It is also stated several times in the New Testament: Matthew 24:13 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Here is an explanation that I think describes the relationship of grace to faith and works: "GRACE IS ACCESSED BY FAITH": Faith is the key that access' grace. Faith is proven by good works and that is what James is talking about. In Romans is says: Romans 5:1-2 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. We are saved purely by grace THROUGH faith. We know that in Ephesians 2:8 8- For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Faith has to be tested and tried before it is valid: 1 Peter 1:7 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Good works must be maintained in order to prove your faith. We have to remain true to the Lord through the trials and temptations that will come to everyone. IMO it is crazy to say that any one is immune or exempt for the temptations of life. Titus 1:16 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. 2 Timothy 3:17 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Titus 3:1 1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, Titus 3:14 14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. Hebrews 10:24 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. These are just a few of many that teach about the importance of maintaining good works. It isn't works that save us and the LDS church has never taught that. That is an idea concocted by "Mormon haters" over 100 years ago. Grace requires faith which requires good works or it is dead faith as James points, and will do nothing. Our good works prove our faith and therefore we receive his grace. It is also why we will be judged in the end according to our works as stated in Rev. 20 and 22. Our faith is going to be challenged and we have to be strong and not lose our faith. That is why it is a life long journey and those who endure to the end will be saved.
+Marie Williams Marie you are wrong I am a Mormon and I know without a shadow of doubt that the Mormon church denies true faith and changed the law of sacrifice (consecration) with the false bogus law of money changers 10% tithing. The prophet Mormon predicted the Mormons would do this sin and fall from grace in Mormon 8:, 32; it is written Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be (LDS) churches built up that shall say: Come unto me, and for your money (Mormon Tithing is called fire insurance) you shall be forgiven of your sins. you did not answer his questions on baptism or interpreting the map. Joseph Smith was given the directions but he did not follow the map. Instead he joined the Masons and built the great abominable church on the promised land. Just like King Saul he rationalized the Will of God by not continuing to build the church with the Lamanites and instead went a whoreing after the money changers Sidney Rigdon and his gaddiaton robbers. Brigham Young then spread those Masonic secret combinations accross the wild West by stealing the Lamanites land called Mexico.Just read the Mormon Battlion history of Mountain Meadows Mascre. Also the returned missionary gave you very good example of the blue line representing the river and not the road. If you read 2 Peter 1 verses 20 to 21 it is clear you have no right to teach and interpret the Bible your map must be interpreted by one who is anointed of God as Holy. as it is written in Revelations 22:18 to 19 you have no right at all to teach and add your version interpretation according to Martin Luther. Regarding the Bible being identical to the authors who wrote it if you see the intro of the King James version you will realize that as Isaiah says who has turned the truth into a lie well the homosexual William Shakespear interpreted the Bible into english for the adulterer and murderer King Henry the VIII´s new religion called the Church of England. If you compare a Catholic Bible to a Protestant bible you will see the Protestant version is half the size and thats because the Apocrypha was removed. About baptism of children the object of being baptized is having faith first repent and then be baptized, that takes faith!!!! not just believing!!!! and "babies are not able to do that". When Paul refers to faith and the law he is not refering to righteousness he is refering to the letter of the law being vain works. Faith without love is dead works to love thy neighbor as thyself is to sincerely care about the welfare of the neighbor. It is does not mean just doing works like the scouts walking an old lady accross the road as that will win a brownie point, i means faith to let go of all you have and follow Christ. That is true faith its not just the lovely flowery speeches given on the street its actually not letting the right hand know what the left hand is doing and not blowing your own trumpet look at me charitable generous person belief. The idea that faith and belief are the same is false the demons believe and know who God is according to James2: 19 , you can believe you are saved by grace but if you are not with faith that you are saved by grace then you have not been saved by grace at all and you will have a false sense of security instead. The apostle Paul is justified by faith not by legalism of the letter of the law in other words being justified by faith a man leaves institutionalized religion based on the precepts of men and works by faith doing things that are not what men would see pleasing in their eyes. Christians have fallen into the same trap as the Jews basing their belief on bogus righteous principals invented by men and not following the Will of God. The Will of God told Abraham to grab a sharp stone and cut the end of your penis off. We call it circumsion but it would be looked upon as sadistic today if we were to go to the grand cayon and find a sharp rock and just cut off the end of our penis. That takes faith no pain no gain. In Hebrews 12 verses 3 to 11 says how important it is to have the works of faith to endure to the end and then you will be saved.
+Flee Babylon You are misguided. Your entire religion was read out of a hat by the equivalent of a carnival weight guesser. He used the same tactics to find treasure or charge people to look. He was a man surrounded by ignorant people. Go toe to toe with me and Ill change your mind.

@@allmanart57 I'd be willing to bet that if you attend an LDS service in your town, you would be surprised to find members that you know outside the church. I know I did.
See that whole deal about "well I prayed and God gave me confirmation." Is a very contradicting thing to say. I can say what about a Satanist that prays to Lucifer and gets confirmation? Doesn't that mean you should believe in that? I can make up a god and pray to it and yes something will happen cause these demons pose and confuse.
The pastor is essentially saying that too. He thinks the LDS is not saved, not because of anything he is doing, but because of the ideas he has in his mind.
No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost (not because it was written down in Greek so you must believe it). There were many things Jesus did not say to His apostles in life (because it was not time), that He would later reveal through the Spirit of Truth. People can twist, distort, and wrest the word of God all day long (given that many things Paul preached were hard to understand), but those that take the Holy Spirit for their guide will not be deceived. The NT addresses how to not be deceived by false spirits, so your concerns are answered in the Bible.
Long before I knew anything about the LDS church, my Sunday school teachers taught us a song that included the phrase “every time I FEEL the Spirit, moving in my heart”. It’s when you don’t feel that you have problems.
Jeff, I don't know you but I've watched your videos for some time. I am genuinely gobsmacked at your knowledge of the Bible. Specifically unpicking the elements contained, in a timely manner. I also say this to that Mormon man: be amazed that Jeff spoke to you. Such warriors for God are rare. I wish it were not so: People often remark that I know the Bible well: but to my shame I do not. What makes me sad is that I (in my local friends circles) am considered "good at knowing the Bible well" when I know all to clearly how little I know. I love you American Brothers and Sisters who earnestly seek out how to give strong clear authentic gospel - it is a much harder thing here in the UK to find it. The ground here is crying out because the people have turned away from Jesus of Nazareth. - I have been to America many times to do Gods work and I feel a constant willingness and openness that is missing here.
Conrad Bate keep up your studies brother & when you come back to America, preach the Gospel to my fellow Americans, they desperately need the Good News.
It is quite remarkable that he can read and memorize 5 lines at a time from Protestant translations of Our Holy Bible and pre-write arguments to impress on unsuspecting and unprepared victims, isn't it?
This Mormon doesn’t sound like he is a “practicing Mormon”. He does not share any of his Mormon teachings. May Jesus Christ be praised for ever. Good work Jeff 😎
Nobody’s gonna dig this perspective but I found it very interesting how quick to speak and control the conversation the woman was. But also how easily she was dismissed as soon as the preacher recognized her as merely a distraction from the real conversation to be had. He could’ve just as easily never spoken a word to the man and just let the woman continue to quickly steer the conversation to a quick conclusion. Once she was gently dismissed she literally just left. Like her whole purpose was to make sure the preacher didn’t speak to her man. Once it was clear he’d breeched her defense she wandered off and got some ice cream. I feel like there’s a lot to that little interaction. @Juliana Russell I completely agree. As a young man, i tried to do it on my own amd i failed miserably. Once married and the 2nd time living in sin. Jeff, I love your videos, brother. You explain things so well, you are extremely well versed in tthe Word, and even in the tenets of Mormonism, and you are very easy going with your conversation. I don't think that guy's wife wanted much to do with you, but I was glad to see the gentleman stick around and have a logical debate without resorting to emotion or name calling. Keep up the Good Work and may God continue to richly bless you. I have family in Mesa, and next time I'm down there I'm going to some say hi or tag along on one of your evangelical adventures. Be safe, brother.
Well, I was born very near where this video took place. I'm not mormon, that's for sure. Now if you want to paint a wide brush stroke and say that about being born in Iraq or a middle eastern country, where most are Muslim, then yes, but you can't use that logic here. There are so many different faiths practiced in the US that to say you're born in an area, therefore you are likely X, does not work so well.
Amen we love pastor Jeff. He is an incredible man of God. May God continuously bless him, his family and ministry. May God provide his hedge of protection around him wherever he goes. Wow, Jeff's love of God and his people is phenomenal. If all Christian could learn to love like that, the way Jesus tells us to with such gentleness, the gospel would spread so much faster. I’m a baptist, and nobody ever cleared that up with me. So I’ve went all this time thinking they were brothers. Oh my goodness, that’s a weird realization.
Glad you've seen the truth. My parents always encouraged me to question the bible, if I am wondering about something, see what the bible says and do some research on it. But one has to practice discernment.
*Watching this I remember how they told me that Jesus + Satan were brothers* I don't believe they said that. Not without explaining the entire subject of the Pre-existence.
I was Mormon too, and had a strong religious spirit about 'scripture'. You could say a Pharisee, even though the Pharisees didn't have the book of Mormon and neither did Jesus, i loved structure. When I realized that Gods word was preserved, and complete, it started washing all the small inconsistencies it had with what I thought was the Gospel. The fact that you had this realization, I praise God, because I feel like God is opening your eyes to His truth. That the Bible is complete.

*SIGH* The "book" that John the was referring to was the book (or scroll or text) he was writing at the time, on the Isle of Patmos. The Bible did not exist yet. The book of Revelation was written, chronologically speaking, before he wrote the Gospel of John. So the warning would apply to everything that was written after the book of Revelation. The warning does not apply to the Bible, which did not yet exist.
@@seel2835 It's clear John was referring to the Book he had just written. @@brandonviale8924 I am glad that you brought that up. It does not have to deal with being one being. Are the disciples/apostles one conglomerate apostle, in 12 different forms? No!!! They are individuals
The Chatolic church is the most accurate James 2:24 "You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone". And we have evidence search up my lady of fatima and look for the video of the sun dancing or moving in the sky.
Jesus spoke a parable in Matthew 21 about God first sending prophets and last sending his son meaning after Jesus there will be no prophets. So mister Smith was a false prophet came after Jesus claiming to be a prophet with a vision and revelation. After the revelation of John there are written that the revelation is complete, that if one add or substract the revelation will be eternally damned.
Gontainer: Acts 11:27 ¶ "And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. 28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar. 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:" Acts 21:10 "And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judæa a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles." 12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem." Here the Bible demonstrates there were prophets after the death of Christ. Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. It is talking about the Book of Revelation and not the entire Bible. Compare: Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." So, using your logic we need to get rid of the New Testrament and all the Old Testament after Deuteronomy 4.
The revelation of John was not the last book written in the Bible, chronologically. So according to you, other books in the bible written after Revelations should just get tossed out?
@@Ether-pb5gb There is a written word of God and it is completed. There are prophets even now who foreknow the future but it is always according to the word of God. But they are not adding or modifying the word of God. Agabus did not say anything that Paul did not know. There are multiple passages where Paul states that he must suffer and die because Jesus said to him, you must suffer and die for my namesake- and that message became the word of God as we know now. Agabus just confirmed it. It was not something new as Mormons do, rewriting or adding something to the word of God. They even have their own Bible. They are controversial, claiming that Jesus was just a prophet, not God and if you want to go to heaven then you must perform obedience and be part of Mormon's church.

"Nothing is ever proved to an absolute certainty". That part of your statement may be true, since you can not even define what is "absolute certainty", other than as a faith assertion. What a GREAT interaction. That does happen to many. When I found out that the lds church was not true, I had a moment of floundering where I felt like I didn't know if I could trust that there even was a God. As soon as I asked the question, "who can I trust," I immediately got the answer that I could trust Jesus Christ.

Had a couple elders call me today! I love talking with them, but they know their scripture very well. This is a great video Their biggest and first argument is that the Bible is not translated correctly and that the Bible today is the result of the great apostate, of men changing it over the years. And to me this is very flimsy simply because anyone can make this argument about anything. And it also makes Christ and the Holy Spirit very incompetent. And they ignore the great lengths that men went to to keep these words pure. And you have to ignore everywhere it speaks about the word as being kept by God. And your transmission and translation argument is beautiful. Thank you!

Rsmdizz Dunski You guys come to my doorsteps all the time to tell me I don't have the "full" Gospel.
Mark, Pope Jeff uses the same deceitful tactic that Satan uses. He knows nothing about eternity or the real truth.
Your patience and persistence are gifts from God. You use them well Pastor Jeff.
*My christian friend once said "I don't know how Mormonism is growing.....none of the pastors in my Church think it's true and they study this stuff".*
I think that they mostly study how to destroy "Mormonism" because if it's true, then they have to find a new line of work. And I'm not being facetious here, I'm totally serious.
BTW, I'm not in the Bible belt, but we do have just about every religion known to man, and that's surprising to me, being outside of California as well.
true. There's no paid local clergy in the LDS faith. That's fiscal suicide to those who are financially vested to lead their flocks I suppose.
Take care.
The hardest people to convert are the religious.
And political views...

I guess it depends on what you want them to convert to.

Agree, and the Mormon could and most likely would loose his family, job ect for following Truth.
How would he lose his job by leaving LDS?
@@mattr.1887 Mormons take care of their own. If you are working in a Mormon organization and leave the church you are ostracized. It’s why most people stay who do not believe the lie any longer.
@@mattr.1887 some people think that their jobs are based on whether or not their LDS boss hired them based on their going to the same church.
First, the only way they could lose their job by leaving the church is if they work for the church. A private employer could be in trouble with the EEOC if they do that.
Second, that would probably only happen in Utah. The farther away you are from there, would be just the opposite; you could lose your job if you JOIN the LDS church.
Jeff is EXCELLENT at showing grace to those he is conversing with on touchy controversial subjects such as this one. He's a model for how Christians should approach ppl with opposing views.
All you have to do is say "I mean this respectfully" whenever you disagree.
Well said
If you mean it respectfully, then fully respect what the Mormons say about what we do and do not believe.

It's not "Mormon doctrine" that's in error. It's what he says is Mormon doctrine.

•Galatians 6:2
2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
I have also asked this question on some other ex mormon video chat threads based on some other scriptures I found. I posed a question about instant salvation in light of these scriptures:
2. Hebrews 6:4-7 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame
3. 2 Peter 2:20-21 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
To me, this teaches that there is the possibility of falling. So why could or would that happen?:
1 Peter 5:8 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
It is also stated several times in the New Testament:
Matthew 24:13 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Here is an explanation that I think describes the relationship of grace to faith and works: "GRACE IS ACCESSED BY FAITH": Faith is the key that access' grace. Faith is proven by good works and that is what James is talking about. In Romans is says:
Romans 5:1-2 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
We are saved purely by grace THROUGH faith.
We know that in Ephesians 2:8 8- For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Faith has to be tested and tried before it is valid:
1 Peter 1:7
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Good works must be maintained in order to prove your faith.
Titus 3:1 1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Titus 3:14 14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Brigham Young then spread those Masonic secret combinations accross the wild West by stealing the Lamanites land called Mexico.Just read the Mormon Battlion history of Mountain Meadows Mascre. Also the returned missionary gave you very good example of the blue line representing the river and not the road. your map must be interpreted by one who is anointed of God as Holy. as it is
written in Revelations 22:18 to 19 you have no right at all to teach and
add your version interpretation according to Martin Luther. Regarding
the Bible being identical to the authors who wrote it if you see the
intro of the King James version you will realize that as Isaiah says who
has turned the truth into a lie well the homosexual William Shakespear
interpreted the Bible into english for the adulterer and murderer King
Henry the VIII´s new religion called the Church of England. If you
compare a Catholic Bible to a Protestant bible you will see the
Protestant version is half the size and thats because the Apocrypha was
removed. About baptism of children the object of being baptized is
having faith first repent and then be baptized, that takes faith!!!! not
just believing!!!! and "babies are not able to do that". When Paul
refers to faith and the law he is not refering to righteousness he is
refering to the letter of the law being vain works. Faith without love
is dead works to love thy neighbor as thyself is to sincerely care about
the welfare of the neighbor. It is does not mean just doing works like
the scouts walking an old lady accross the road as that will win a
brownie point, i means faith to let go of all you have and follow
Christ. That is true faith its not just the lovely flowery speeches
given on the street its actually not letting the right hand know what
the left hand is doing and not blowing your own trumpet look at me
charitable generous person belief. The idea that faith and belief are
the same is false the demons believe and know who God is according to
James2: 19 , you can believe you are saved by grace but if you are not
with faith that you are saved by grace then you have not been saved by
grace at all and you will have a false sense of security instead. The
apostle Paul is justified by faith not by legalism of the letter of the
law in other words being justified by faith a man leaves
institutionalized religion based on the precepts of men and works by
faith doing things that are not what men would see pleasing in their
eyes. Christians have fallen into the same trap as the Jews basing their
belief on bogus righteous principals invented by men and not following
the Will of God. The Will of God told Abraham to grab a sharp stone and
cut the end of your penis off. We call it circumsion but it would be
looked upon as sadistic today if we were to go to the grand cayon and
find a sharp rock and just cut off the end of our penis. That takes
faith no pain no gain. In Hebrews 12 verses 3 to 11 says how important
it is to have the works of faith to endure to the end and then you will
be saved.

What are you talking about?? what does choosing where they were born have to do with the price of eggs?
Well, I was born very near where this video took place. I'm not mormon, that's for sure. Now if you want to paint a wide brush stroke and say that about being born in Iraq or a middle eastern country, where most are Muslim, then yes, but you can't use that logic here. There are so many different faiths practiced in the US that to say you're born in an area, therefore you are likely X, does not work so well.
You still didn't answer the question of what the location of their birth has to do with anything? Read your original comment. It makes no sense.
Amen we love pastor Jeff. He is an incredible man of God. May God continuously bless him, his family and ministry. May God provide his hedge of protection around him wherever he goes. No weapon shall form against him. All opposition to the Gospel should depart away from his path, ten fold. God’s word will never go void.
Wow, Jeff's love of God and his people is phenomenal. If all Christian could learn to love like that, the way Jesus tells us to with such gentleness, the gospel would spread so much faster. I'd be surprised if that man never gave another thought to the things Jeff shared with him. Because of his non-threatening manner I believe that young man was able to receive the message. Praise the Lord!💕

Great conversation! Jeff handled this so well
His wife was gone in the first 5 minutes.... hopefully she watched this later with more of a open mind
My grandparents are morman, and my dad picked up the some of the beliefs. Watching this I remember how they told me that Jesus + Satan were brothers. I’m a baptist, and nobody ever cleared that up with me. So I’ve went all this time thinking they were brothers. Oh my goodness, that’s a weird realization.
That doesn't even make sense. First of all How can Satan cast out Satan. 2nd that would make Jesus an angel or demon which is blasphemy.
Glad you've seen the truth. My parents always encouraged me to question the bible, if I am wondering about something, see what the bible says and do some research on it. But one has to practice discernment.
*Watching this I remember how they told me that Jesus + Satan were brothers*
I don't believe they said that.

To question the validity of his understanding of the word is NOT attacking the validity of the Bible.

To believe and teach that the Bible has been corrupted is to fundamentally attack the validity of the Word. That is the Mormon understanding of Scripture.
@@tylerbuckner3750 we don’t teach that the Bible has been corrupted. We believe that there were corrupt men among those who put the Bible together.
The Bible is only as perfect, infallible and complete as the men who put it together.

You should probably tell that to all the Mormon missionaries who say “The bible has been corrupted” every time a verse explicitly militates against Mormon doctrine.

We don't worship Joseph or any prophet or Moses, but I don't want this post to be about theology. Miriam so sorry about the sexual abuse that occurred in your family in your childhood. Just because I hold a set of beliefs DOES NOT mean that I support how the leaders/protectors in your life failed you. You were wronged. Your sister was wronged. “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,”
Revelation 22:18
*SIGH* The "book" that John the was referring to was the book (or scroll or text) he was writing at the time, on the Isle of Patmos. The Bible did not exist yet. The book of Revelation was written, chronologically speaking, before he wrote the Gospel of John. So the warning would apply to everything that was written after the book of Revelation. The warning does not apply to the Bible, which did not yet exist.
@@seel2835 It's clear John was referring to the Book he had just written. Revelation 22:18 is the direct relative of Revelation 1:3 and 11

He may have know that various works would eventually be combined into one large text like the Hebrew Bible was, but there is no evidence of that. He is referring specifically to the Book he was commanded to write: the Book of Revelation.

@@Ether-pb5gb 🤭
Why?
@@Ether-pb5gb so how would you jusitfy Jesus saying that he and the Father are one? Would that not be blasphemous to God if they were not one God but were multiple?
@@brandonviale8924 I am glad that you brought that up. When you look at the chapter in context, Jesus prays in John 17:21 "That they (the disciples/apostles) all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." ......This "one-ness" that Jesus prays for has to do with unity. It does not have to deal with being one being. Are the disciples/apostles one conglomerate apostle, in 12 different forms? No!!! They are individuals
So amazing love watching the stuff. Praise the Lord to see the true Gospel to be out on RUclips.
Works will not save you only Christ can save you. Good works are a byproduct of faith in Christ. Good works are the fruit of the tree, not the root.
Which is why members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that we are saved by faith!
According to this pastor, we are saved by theological knowledge!!! He is wrong!!!!
Ether 12:27 if you call trusting in Christ in his finished work on the cross alone to be saved, theological, yes then Jeff is right.
Ether 12:27 you have to be honest ethet, the LDS church believes without those works there will be no exaltation
The Chatolic church is the most accurate James 2:24 "You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone". The chatolic church was also the first christian sect which would be more accurate and the chatolic church has the most miraculous sightings by Mary mother of God and Christ himself and many other saints and prophets.
Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Watching this as an atheist is pretty amazing tbh. Religion is such an interesting thing.
+Alan S As a fellow atheist, I agree! When Baptists aren't telling folks from other denominations how superior their Baptist faith is, they're telling each other how superior their personal faith is.
+Steven John That commentary is so judgmental. What is your rational for judging?
+JAMES SQUIRES it's because they are superior right? ;)
Can you prove that to absolute certainty?
"Nothing is ever proved to an absolute certainty". That part of your statement may be true, since you can not even define what is "absolute certainty", other than as a faith assertion. You can only be absolutely certain of something by faith. That is why it is important that your faith be in what is true; ie, the God of the Bible.

There’s evidence that the more education you get, the more your testimony builds.
What a GREAT interaction. I studied the LDS faith and was even baptized, but after researching the history using the internet and RUclips, I left the Mormon Church and believe it to be a false religion with a false god, or gods, as the case may be. I am not as well versed or schooled as Jeff, but I do pray for the members of my Ward to see and accept the true light of the world, the one and only Jesus Christ of the Bible. Thanks for this great video. I wish I could do something like this. I was LDS for only one year, but I didn't gain the sense they wanted me to 'seek my own confirmation' as she put it. I was never encouraged to test Mormonism against other faiths. I was told to ignore the tv, ignore the computer. While these mediums have their share of junk, they also contain forums such as Apologia - fair, love-filled messages in opposition to Mormonism that any LDS investigator should consider before signing the dotted line. Had a couple elders call me today! I love talking with them, but they know their scripture very well. This is a great video
Their biggest and first argument is that the Bible is not translated correctly and that the Bible today is the result of the great apostate, of men changing it over the years.
Thank you!
