What I love is that they somehow mixed the song title of cha cha cha with the Latin dance by the same name, and keep them in theme with the outfits and steps used (which are actual correct cha cha cha steps) on beat to the music and somehow so cohesively. As a Latin dancer for 17 years - I appreciate this little nod
I'm from Finland and I was so happy about Croatia. But I'm totally obsessed with Kääärijäs song and he is the best song from our national selection. The live is amazing. When I first saw it I laughed out loud the entire song and listened to it for an hour. YLE releases the sons at Midnight in Finland. I can tell you I was so tired that week at work.
Right now I want this to win eurovision. But I feat the jurys will keep it rather down. This to me is currently the only song worthy to win eurovision.
Welp I have a new number 1. Käärijä absolutely obliterated that performance and was definitely the pick to go to Liverpool out of a lineup of 7 *very* strong entries. Seriously UMK has to be the best national final of the 2023 season and I wish Finland could send 7 songs this year. I've seen some people dislike the backing dancers in this but that's the best part for me! Personally, their intensity ELEVATED this song and added a whole new level of tension to the song, from their crazy eyes to their gumshield smiles. Honestly 11/10 I am highkey obsessed with the backing dancers alone keep them exactly as they are they add amazing contrast. Overall for me easy 9.5 to 10/10. I can only hope that this song does well at Eurovision (more Finnish as well!! First time in Eurovision since 2015 right?)
I love this song, so different and weirdly keeps me gripped the entire 3minutes! I know Sweden is the current favourite, but I’m really rooting for Finland this year!
I absolutely love this song. He is a Incredible and has so much charisma.. When I was in Norway, they had this music called russ music, and this song has a kind of russ/trance vibe. The Nordic countries are on fire this year, and it could very well be Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland fighting out the top 5
I'm Finnish and I can honestly say I'm SO proud of our entry this year!! I don't expect us to win but just the sheer amount of joy it has brought to people already (watching shellshocked youtubers cold reacting to Cha Cha Cha has become my favourite pastime) is the best feeling ever!! 💚💚💚 "It's crazy, it's party!" -Käärijä 😘

Was this my favorite from Finland? Hell no! But is this such a fun infectious track that you can't help but love and/or get stuck on your head much like Gangnam Style? You betcha! Tell me something more funny and cheerful than the parts when Noosh is singing "Cha Cha Cha" 🤣🤣🤣 Now with jokes apart, about the song. I totally agree with you! A bit of an odd entry but like you said it is as much as it's needed for Eurovision. Cathcy, modern, good for staging and it's incredible how they managed to send a song that is extremely good for such an anti-popular language like Finnish (no offense). I don't have a magic sphere to know how far this can go in Liverpool but "Cha Cha Cha" is surely gonna make some noise to the crowd 😉
The staging is made out of EU regulation pallets called "Euro-pallets". The word for pallet and stage in Finnish is the same word. So he is literally performing on a Euro-stage. Since the pun only works in Finnish, I bet they come up with something different for Liverpool
Love this reaction! I agree they could do with more lights and proper background props but other than that I think the live went better than I thought lol Coming from a Finnish person I hope they’ll make a great show in Liverpool!
This is what it's all about. This makes you happy, makes you wanna dance. The song is totally unique and litterally has rock, tec, rap and pop in the same song..... The rest is like a sleeping pill compared to this.
Well, Finns are not so competetive at all, but enjoy to take part on ESC. The main point is to be together with the people from other countries, because Finland is like an island in Europe. As you have seen there is no pattern, which kind of music Finland sends. So all I can tell about Finnish music taste is: enormous.

Matter of opinion. Whats bad in ESC for me, are the cliches. How many times have we heard about some pretty young girl singing about how it's her time to "shine", or the old angels and demons trope. All this while doing 3 costume changes, using a wind machine and modulation.. Even some of the prettier ballads can be a bit boring, although they may last longer on a playlist. Say what You will about this song, but it was anything but cliched, or boring. An interesting mix of genres, surprising change in the middle of the song, and a complete mood change as well. There's even some contemporary depth to the message between the lines(overcoming war and pandemic fear +fatigue, mental health relief), even if it's just a silly song about drinkin. Usually when songs try to do too much like this, they fail horribly. This one, tho not perfect by any means, managed to pull it all off somehow. I think its gonna win the entire competition. When it does, the artist Käärijä wont have to sell his mustache for 50€, because he wont be broke again for a while.
