He used (and use) a massive amount of gain for playing (relative) simply open chords. They (Noel) diverted from that sound after "Morning glory.."
Roto Sphere it is nor completely true, even Gem Archer used that kind of tone form some later songs, his guitar was just turned down a lot in the mix

The band behind liam has improved 1000% compared to the earlier years where they struggled to get that 'wall of sound' vibe. Maybe its just Bonehead? Who knows, but its fucking epic.

they just literally have a rhythm guitarist more (+ a keyboardist) and a drummer who isnt afraid of playing the crash a lot. Those are the factors that you are looking for.

When I was young I thought Bone was unimportant. I used to say “anyone can play the same chords.” But I was wrong. It might be fair to say he was the rock of the band holding it down with that mighty guitar sound.

In '93 music shops couldn't shift their epiphones for love nor money By '98 they were fetching silly amounts. Epiphone price was raised exponentially because of Oasis. lol. I remember a LPS epiphone I bought about the same time at much reduced price in the music shop. Much nicer looking to me than all the dodgy super strats and BC richs, Peaveys they'd also got stuck with. Sold it in '98 when I needed money for 2.5x what I paid for it.

Regarding comments on Liam not sounding the best here, hes definitly pushing his limit in parts.. im not sure if its just pride or what but Liam still chooses to play this in standard tuning for some reason.. most folks his age and older are at least tuning half step if not whole step down for their range, peoples ranges change when they get older.. its just fact.. kudos for still playing these songs like its 96

Michael Dixon I’ve said this a millions times in the past......when the volume on stage raises Liam struggles & I swear its to do with him not being able to hear himself properly.....at low volume he’s untouchable.
