The obedience injunction is questionably Paul's, as you must know.

I've heard that. After all we're inclined to insert our own thoughts into our beliefs and communications. That could have been carried on to influence and justify one one's will.

@@marycayburkindine1003 They have actually found versions of the moral code which includes the obedience injunction in non Pauline sources.
In ancient times they had not nearly as many scruples about altering a text to suit their purposes than we have today. And the Jesus movement, initially so anti power structure, was keen to insinuate itself into it.

Granted , but why are women excluded from leading roles in the ministry?

Listen to the video again. We are equal in value to God but we differ in our roles. He speaks of a hierarchy in heaven. In his wisdom, he has also set up a hierarchy in the church.

it depends. In the Patriarchate of Alexandria and in the Church of Greece, there are and have been (respectively) women subdeacons. There is also a desire to restore a female diaconate, for the purely practical matter of why there had been a female diaconate before, to serve women-only spaces, like nuns who can't be visited regularly by a priest. The big stumbling block seems to be disagreement on how to interpret the texts that refer to women deacons and whether it's the same as deacons as we know it today or if it's referring something else
Personally, I'm of the opinion that a female diaconate should be a full diaconate, so that nuns can receive a pre-sanctified eucharist according to the book rather than either depriving them of the eucharist or inventing something new to provide it (like a Catholic eucharistic minister or something)

Consider why this is important to you. Is it resentment? A feeling of being cheated? Is it your own feeling of pride or ambition?

They always have been from the beginning. Not part of the tradition. That being said Matushkas and Abbesses are spiritual leaders but they aren’t ordained.
