Was loving the home made tackle as always but then....the bowling 😳 BRILLIANT, what a great touch and as much as I love the woods/fishing videos that was different to see the family night out with the Pullens 👍 ( 100% agree on the Ale too) Love bowing with the family but it’s expensive the same as most else the days 😒 Cheers guys, all the best Si
enjoyed that Graeme, it just goes to show thinking outside the box using thrown away materials cheaply and coming up with an idea like that. well done, and great bowling,
Wow what a great episode and what a totally awesome family. And there's a message there for the super keen fishermen not to forget your other life. Cheers
You've outdone yourself Graeme! Thanks for the lead weights lesson AND taking us out for drinks, family time and yummy dogs! Great Times! I love how you mixed it up.. Great to see the Girls!
Nice to see all your family enjoying them selves. Hope it's not too long before your out on the sea. Great program by the way. I live in Scotland, if you fancy trolling for salmon on Loch Tay I could arrange it sometime.
I like it. Only one little problem, you see I'm starting out. I made a tool box from pallet wood with my wife's carving knife... A bit blunt now! And used recycled nails, really nice. But I can only buy one tool a week, so far I've only got a little hammer. I will save this for next year mmmm , thanks again. I think I said that before.
So weight making, which I love doing thanks for the tip.(log haha). and your family outing, well, big dog and Do DO. it looked like it, you are the man,its so good to be a little daft is so much fun, when we get older. Many thanks. :) :)
Great job on your homemade weights but the most important thing is also having family time which is so important I haven't been bowling for years it's good fun though.
Good job but Just an advice Always wear a Mask FFA2P3 when you melt lead and wear Also protective glasses gloves and a protection suit that Is useful to protect you from lead particles.
my dad worked as roofer and when he would get scrap lead he would take snips and cut strips of it and roll them up leaving a hole in the middle for the line to go through, we never made any like this though would be cool to try.
@@desertjackal7713 ? I'm using the clay to mould lead. Where do you think lead comes from? There are already millions of tonnes if lead in our oceans. It's a natural element. Graeme's leads will cause no environmental damage... though, the tonnes of man-made crap we as a species have dumped into our oceans, especially plastics, is a real cause for concern.
Hey Grandpa Graeme, you need to invest in some sharper drill bits and a new blade for you jig saw. tempted to make some lead weight molds myself. keep up the graft, thumbs up
@@TAFishing oops, I meant 'uncle Graeme' 🤦🏽♂️ But you do need to have some words with your son and daughter though 😂🤣 Have been watching your videos for a long time now, but didn't subscribe till recently. I love the entertainment, its absolutely brilliant. Plus side is that I get to learn a lot about fishing. Thank you very much Graeme, hope to bump into you on the coast somewhere 👍🏼
This is probably fine to cast with lead, but don't try to cast in this manner with metals that require a higher melting temperature, For example aluminium (which you wouldn't use for weights), the moisture in the wood could cause a steam explosion.
I have a log burner so I'm always on the scout for wood. A friend gave me the Cherrywood which I was also using for renewing Axe shafts for the T.A. Outdoors films. Lovely wood, with a straight grain.
i tried this in my shed last year i thought i had good ventilation but i got a terrible headache from breathing in the lead fumes if i ever do it again will be out side in garden be careful guys if you try this
Using the holes in the bowling ball as molds for your leads? Love to see that next Graeme.
What more do you want from a Friday night? fishing tips, power tools and family fun! Utterly wonderful to watch well done to all the family!
i know it is kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to stream new movies online?
@Alex Jabari I use flixzone. You can find it on google :)
Wonderful to see you all together. Thanks for that Graeme.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing your family with us. Seems like a genuinely happy family, and as usual an example to us all.

Good times for all. Thanks for sharing your family.

Great tip that, never thought of using wood! Great to meet all the family, now you just got to get them all with a rod in hand on camera!
Couldn’t be a better Friday I learned how to save some money on fishing gear

Superb video as always but after you split the log the natural break would be a better seal surely

Im so glad you didnt slip at 2:25 :)
fantastic video again graeme and now the weathers nice you can use them :)
Great job of moulding but the fun at the bowling alley afterwards with the family was awesome ....
Reminded me of Heath Robinson in his shed. RIP Heath. Loved the bowling. Keeping it real as always.
Found out about this channel through your son. You're an awesome dude, and i'm glad i found this place :)
Nice surprise this one Graeme. Lovely, happy and contented family you have.

Beautiful family and a great time out!! Wow! Your weight part of the VIDIO was TA!! Anyone can do it, just a little patience.
Great fishing tips as usual & what great fun with the family keep the videos coming cheers
I liked you using the masonry bit in wood, thats what I would do.
Not to sure about the lead mold but the bowling was well funny!! thanks Graeme keep up the good work.
Graham needs to have more videos when he's been drinking haha. Cracking video as always

Great lead castting video 👍. The 10 pinn bowling was AWESOME 😋
Thank you. This is a great video!
That wad a fun episode loved it
Great video, bowling it fun. We got a group from work to go bowling and food. 👍 Great family fun.
Great job on your homemade weights but the most important thing is also having family time which is so important I haven't been bowling for years it's good fun though.
Absolutely brilliant 👍🏻
Aw, you left out the best part... watching the metal melting! :-D
Yes, but you can't smell it, that's the real best part.
Your the DIY fishing God 😍😂😂😂
Great fun,love it !!
That was soooo cool !
I hope this was as much fun to make as it was to watch!
Love the blog
Love this game
Love the electric planer eating the workmate and masonry bit chewing out the holes haha. guessing graham isn't a carpenter by trade 😂
Jack of all trades, and master of none....Specialist is using blunt tools !! (Money saved is money earned !)
HAPPY EASTER GRAHAM...🐰
Thanks,have a good one yourself.
Really great video.

Too awesome.
Happy Easter to you all
You can always count on Graham using a wire coat hanger in every project 😆
There isn't a hotel room I haven't hit.
Love the channel
I get all my tips and trick from here and I make my dad jealous that I'm better at fishing
Hi Graham what knife is it that u were using when stripping the bark from the log
Regards toby
No name on it..says Germany.
I thought it was taoutdoors, and you were fire starting with the split log.😗
The bowling club probably thought, Bruce Forsythe had come in.😉
Well in the end it really was a "Good Game"...
I love it.
I use modelling clay from a crafting shop for my moulds. No woodworking required.
No lead poisoning of your favorite fishing spot, either.

Graeme this reminds me of my old video making lead weights from wood. yours turned out better and didn't catch fire though
Good idea on using a wooden mould, I wounder where you got that from 🤣 good vid 👍
I haven't had a strike in my life, next time i am trying Amy's style !

Question. If you drill wood with wood you can start a fire why then when you drill the wood with a drill it does it not burst into flames.
saved yourself a small fortune
I think I recognise that bowling alley is it the one in Oxford
Very skilful craftsmanship Graeme . I'll stick to buying them as I could never afford to buy the tools you use!
Yes it is good
Surprising how little the log was scorched!
Lead melts at less than 340°C whereas you need to get most timber to over 400°C before it'll burn
This is probably fine to cast with lead, but don't try to cast in this manner with metals that require a higher melting temperature, For example aluminium (which you wouldn't use for weights), the moisture in the wood could cause a steam explosion.
You could make some wild shaped leads with wood . The mind boggles
Any chance of some actual sea fishing anytime soon?
Oh! I found a nice log, I'll save it.
I have a log burner so I'm always on the scout for wood. A friend gave me the Cherrywood which I was also using for renewing Axe shafts for the T.A. Outdoors films. Lovely wood, with a straight grain.
STRIKE 😎
Graeme better bowling technic then fred flinstone
Yabba Dabba Doooo !!
Interesting :D :D :D
Toss half a tea candle into the lead when melted and wait for the flames to die then lift off all the scum and you’re left with clean lead
nice a masonry bit being used on wood lol
Its all I had to work with, all the wood bits were at the Saxon House build camp on Mike's T.A. Outdoors. But the leads came out fine.
You weren’t working on the roof of Notre Dame with that drill bit Graham????
You saw me ??
@@TAFishing I knew it was you!! 😆
is this using green wood
why did you leave the hammer action on ?
i tried this in my shed last year i thought i had good ventilation but i got a terrible headache from breathing in the lead fumes if i ever do it again will be out side in garden be careful guys if you try this
Always have good ventilation,I had the garage door open all the time.
